  1. Fanboy World War number 13.... ... it just never gets boring here.
  2. I don't think this can presently be done. You will need the exported data to record an ACMI on both server and clients, and as soon as this is on, the data is exported to the clients as well.
  3. Are these CDDS files convertable into some sort of lossless compressed image format, like BMP? Also, do these images overlap or not? If they can be converted and do not overlap (or overlap with known dimensions) it should be pretty straightforward to write some software to stitch them all together.
  4. We are being taken over.... :joystick:
  5. No, perhaps I should not be. Still, pretty good security measures to prevent pictures leaking out to the media before yesterday.
  6. But on a first test flight?!?
  7. They did a pretty high AOA take off for a first test flight :)
  8. Congratulations guys! Good to see all your hard work in finding the most efficient flight plan paying off!
  9. I am very willing to share my knowledge in making a stats page. I have started adapting the code for DCS, but it needs some major changes due to the fact that the DCS output is considerably different from FC1.12. Though it should not be too much work, I have trouble finding the time, especially as I hardly fly DCS myself. However, whenever FC2.0 comes out I'll put more time in, and might even be willing to adapt it so other squadrons can appear on the same stats page like we did with the 3Sqn, 51st and RvE.
  10. Several squadrons hosting a dedicated Flaming Cliffs server on HyperLobby with the intent to draw more players to their servers. They can be found on: http://serik.dk/page7.html As to why there are, as of yet, no Black Shark stats pages I do not know. However, whenever Flaming Cliffs 2.0 is released, I will adapt the stats page of the 51st PVO Regiment to work with FC2.0.
  11. Case

    104th Taipan!

    Congratulations!
  12. You are right, I missed that. I'm wondering though how LOS drift rates are determined, cause it needs some stable platform to which to reference them, but I guess they come with some sort of inertial unit.
  13. Which raises the question how IR missiles track. They (probably) have no range information, and most certainly have no tracking information. So if anything, they can only fly pure pursuit, right?
  14. Check out the 159th at http://www.159thgar.com/forums/ They are pretty active in BS and have their own dedicated game server.
  15. The one thing that helps most in missile evasion is experience. Experience about how much time enemy missiles will take to reach you when the bandit that fired them is at a certain distance from you. For this, I suggest you practice offline against the AI. You can get to AI to fly any plane you want and get them to use any missile you want practice against. I also suggest you start flying with labels on so you get a better idea of what is happening. Also use Tacview to record ACMI's and review those. Once you have an idea what is going on, you can start flying with labels off and use your experience from the previous flights to estimate when you really must defend. Though this applies mostly to a BVR scenario it is a good step of getting experience in missile behaviour.
  16. Great that this mod is continued! Acedy, thanks for creating the scripts! Panzertard, Yoda, thanks for continuing its development!
  17. Crazy French again! Wicked video Viper, very cool! Impressive targeting pod too! PS Would it be too late for ED to implement those waving female sun bathers on the beaches of Sochi? Would be cool for Shkval testing. :D
  18. Yes, this is the line that should be removed or commented out. No, this is not the case. Tacview only uses the exported data, and the server exports data if the flag in config/export/config.lua is set to true. If the server, or any client that connects to it, has the Tacview dofile in the config/export/export.lua file, it will generate a tacview.
  19. Tacview uses exports. If the client wants to record a Tacview then the server has to has exports on. This can be done by setting the flag in config/export/config.lua to true (this may already be the case). For the server to then not record a Tacview, they should remove or comment out the line at the end of config/export/export.lua.
  20. No, the stealth shuttle is just to the left of SuitSAT, but you won't see it cause it is stealthy!
  21. Congrats on getting it back up!
  22. Come on guys, please don't take this thread off topic. Grimes is asking for some input that may benefit future BS/FC2 servers.
  23. So what would you say if you got a specific task in a server, like taking out a bridge, and flying with you would be an other pilot tasked with taking out the air defences near the bridge. Would you be interested in any of that or would you rather go out and kill every unit on the map?
  24. A "Write to Log" action for triggers.
