  1. I agree completely  Marc..
  2. Make your own profile from scratch, I have a X45 and DCS is probably the easiest sim to set up controllers. Before you start, make sure to choose the aircraft you intend to fly with the programmed controller Marc..
  3. At the same time? Since they are both active windows when on Marc..
  4. Ok!! All is good, I restarted the game, remapped the button boxes and it worked. Maybe they needed to be mapped at the same time Thanks again for the help Marc..
  5. Thanks!! I'll take a look edit: So I took a look and they do have the same ID, now I wonder if changing the name of one of them will make a difference Marc..
  6. Yeah!! That's what I thought . It's two very basic button box, 10 switches each. In the controller section I can see two "generic usb joystick" and I can map keys in both of them but once in the game only the second box works but with the mapping of the first box :wallbash: Marc..
  7. I made two button box using Zero Delay Arcade USB ENCODER , 20 momentary switches/ buttons total, mapped the button of the first box no problem but the second one is conflicting with the first one since they both have the same ID(I guess). Any ways to change this? In the controller section they are listed as generic usb joystick Thanks, Marc..
  8. Sold:) Marc..
  9. Yup!! Marc..
  10. For WW2 planes , flying realistic mode Wonder why no company makes them, you would think with the popularity of ww2 aircraft sim someone by now would have come up with a set Anyway at my age I can't wait for them so decided to built my own. I was contemplating using the one from Saitek/Logiteck and moding it, could have use one from CH Product too but at the end with the money involved why not start from scratch I had an extra bran new X45 that I got dirt cheap on ebay and was collecting dust for the past four years, it was for eventually replace the one that I use for BMS but the thing just doesn't want to quit, I love the x45 and still want to use one for my poject The guts, I know it's gross but.. Wont be using the mode selector, no hats, will be using the big pot for throttle , one small pots for prop , the slider for mixture and four switches but all that could change. The boards won't be in the quadrant, it will be in a different switch box. I want the quadrant to be easy to work in so no boards just wires and pots &switches using a 25 pin connector to the main switch box Took that thing apart many times, stress relief , fabricating Still need to covert it up which will be next but the hard part is done Stay tuned Marc..
  11. Tried to respond to your PM but it doesn't work for some reason  Marc..
  12. Thanks, I will Marc..
  13. Started this project about 15 years ago, been collecting dust for the past 13, wanted to finish it but got into racing, then I moved to California and got into fishing, then went back into flight simming but WW2 planes ,so I'm selling it When I started that project my plan was to built like a case mode, computers inside, lots of room , then using servos, stepping motors to drive the gauges. Each gauge have their needle, At that time there was no plans, no dimension for that panel, only a few pics so it's probably on the small size 30"1/2 W x 16" H x 24" deep, I don't know. I even built a CNC to make the side panel, I might sell that too later on Pick up only and asking $150 Any question just ask Marc..
  14. Thanks a bunch Marc..
  15. And why is it so hard to find :helpsmilie: Marc..

  18. Very nice indeed  Marc..
  19. I'm 6'1" 215lb and find it very comfortable, fell asleep a few times on long mission  Thanks, Marc..
  20. I made it out of 1/4" ply covered with fiberglass, wanted to be light. Will take some pics later on I used a reel seat for the bracket 130 degrees if the seat is set at the fourth mark What other pic would you like? Marc..
  21. Me too, located in S.California Marc..
  22. The easiest way is using just a simple project box, many size available, they are most of the time made out of plastic Momentary switches, very cheap on ebay To connect the switch to your PC, you have many option, one of the cheapest is using a cheap usb keyboard take it apart and hack it Marc..
  23. Yup!! I've used a lot of different stuff to make panels, project box, electric junction box, wood box. Atually, the best thing I ever did was getting your book on building simulated aircraft instrument many many moons ago, I still have that homemade marking gauge that I made from your book , lots of good ideas and information, even more valuable today. Glad you're still around Marc..
  24. Transducer Marc..
