  1. Hence why I think that someone like VKB, BRD, or Virpil could possibly produce one, and make a nice profit margin. Especially if it can be fitted as an "option" to a throttle that is produced in greater quantity. Clearly there is a market for high end gear, I mean, look at the prices a lot of us are happy to pay for rudder pedals. For a properly good throttle, build to the standards of BRD, Slaw, MFG etc... The sort of thing that would probably outlast the player themselves... I'd be willing to pay my hard earned, with a smile. Z...
  2. I'd love to be able to even retrofit one in an existing throttle. Though, I do play space games (Elite, perhaps other stuff as they come online). Z...
  3. Yup - will be good for us Aussies - cheaper shipping... Z...
  4. An opportunity to create a mini gimbal system with magnetic sensors - probably tricky, and perhaps bulky, but if they get it right, they would dominate the market. Z...
  5. Analog mini sticks are better placed on the throttle. Z...
  6. That's sensational - is there a kit to convert a cobra M5 grip, by chance? I'd gladly sacrifice my M5 base for this... Z...
  7. Some very nice stuff. I'm looking forward to my own set of BRD pedals! My build will be a cockpit in a coffee table design, hopefully... As space here is quite limited, everything needs 3 reasons to exist, or it is wasting space! the joys of SE Asia life! I'm still working out if I will try and modify an office chair, or somehow work with wood and padding for the seat. we'll see... Looking at other peoples cockpits gives me ideas... Z...
  8. Yeah, I'd ask the same - which sim(s)? I play Elite Dangerous, and DCS (modern jets and choppers), so a WWII stick has no appeal to me right now. Any stick I buy needs to be at least as well set up as a Warthog stick, though the VKB M5 wasn't bad either. Though I have seen pics of a "space" stick for VKB, which looks good, and the Virpil stick also looks very nice, it's actually a very tough choice... I, personally, hope to buy both (partly to support people making nice stuff, partly because I would love the option to mix my gear around based on preferences for different games). At this rate, I should have just bought a plane... Z...
  9. Wow, very nice looking bit of kit. I've just ordered a set of the pedals, and am really looking forward to giving them a run, I really, really like the look of his work, and I've only heard excellent words things about his gear to date. My personal experience has been excellent, he responds promptly, and even lets you know if he will be away form an internet connection for any period of time. Flawless customer service! Quite an ingenues set up for your pilot chair, by the way... Z...
  10. Compare to the cost of a real aircraft, and flying lessons... Z...
  11. There are some really nice looking sticks popping up, looking like I have to try one of these out too... Dear wife, It's cheaper than golf... Z...
  12. Another good one is "It keeps me in the house, where I can take care of the kid!". Z...
  13. I have made peace with my flaws. I explain it as being "Cheaper than golf" to the significant other... Z...
  14. Yeah, true. fortunately for me, I have a sim cockpit/coffee table to design, so that ought to keep me busy and keep my mind off it, at least it'll be closer to release, if nothing else. :pilotfly: Z...
  15. Looking forward to seeing the jet and space grips. I think I must have one. Z...
