Ah yes! I didnt consider that, but excellent point,,, is this the place to change it, and what values should these be to minimize its?

I am new to Virpil controls. Long story short, I have been struggling for a few days to try and get the Ministick on the Throttle to slew the Shkval in the KA-50. I know this subject would be relevant to other sensors, like the T-Pod etc. My specific issue is the fine tuning I am looking for. I can get it to slew all over the place if I want, but when it comes down to the very subtle movements to get the targeting box right on the target at long distance, I should be able to just put some slight pressure on the ministick for those fine tune needs. I am coming out of a Thrustmaster cougar, and I had no issue with that microstick. I have tried MANY flavors of adjustments with trying the Slider, user curves etc. I just cant quite get it right. Im getting just a tad too much travel on the physical microstick before it starts to move a tad to fast? I have attached my current config as an example. Its pretty close but still a tad to jumpy coming off of center. Please share your curve settings if applicable. Thanks,

Well,,, Im glad you glad you stepped up to the plate on that one as well there dburne, as embarrassed as I am, I must admit that was a hairpulling goof on my end! imacken, I greatly appreciate you pointing that out,, i was about to embark on many other fix attempts LOL. I have learned a lot in the last 3 days alone, I still have some things to figure out that are a bit annoying, but I will find a way, especially with the assistance of all of you fine folks! Much appreciated gentleman!

Here we go again? LOL,,,, Sounds like this is a repetitive matter? Although I wouldn't know that based on my search results yesterday, which didn't produce any meaningful results unfortunately, that's why i created a new post. Any who, here is the info you requested. Note that I am considering experimenting with the theory of NOT using a Modifier within DCS and instead configuring that Pinky switch as a "Shift" button in Virpil, then configuring all of the buttons as having shift states. I dont know if that will make a favorable difference yet? I was simply hoping this could all be setup inside of DCS? Thanks for your response! Device = Virpil CM3 Throttle & Virpil Alpha Grip Module = Huey is an example made here

E.G. In DCS Options, I set the Stick Pinky switch as a Modifier In DCS Options, I set button 28 to function for “Set Operator Seat”, I then set the same button, in conjunction with the Modifier to “AI Operator ROE Iterate”. The resulting action has been semi conflicting. If I just press button 28, sometimes it gets stuck on setting the Operator ROE iterate and will cycle through that and then maybe skip over to try and do what I assigned it to do, and vise versa. The Common button use of # 28 is causing a conflict, and DCS does not seem to be wanting to differentiate that one is supposed to only trigger when the Modifier is in use. I notice this is problematic with the trigger button as well, as when I press the trigger, I want bullets to fly,,, but when I hold the Modifier in and press the trigger for a separate action, it still wants to spray bullets and not perform the action it is assigned to do?

Thanks for the response dburne. I seemed to have managed to set this up and it shows action in the Virpil software but DCS wont recognize it? I went step by step using this tutorial (starting at 35:53) Setting up Virtual Axis, but again,, DCS doesn't recognize it? Thanks though

I just received my 1st Virpil gear, the Throttle is a Mongoose T-50 CM3. Long story short, I went into DCS Options and went to set the “Zoom” axis using the rotary dial on the Right Throttle. DCS does not recognize this rotary yet. So I have spent about 3 hours yesterday, and about 3 hours again today trying to figure out how to get to set this up in Virpils Configurator. I have watched a lot of Youtube vids, along with a lot of Google searching, I cant find a straight answer. The ones I thought I found, did not turn out to work at all. If I can get this dial figured out, then I will be able to setup the others. For this function, does that rotary dial (Buttons 14 & 15) need to be setup as virtual axis? I did attempt that with no success. Where can I get a straight answer? Thanks

Perhaps that is why im confused,, I was expecting radar Altitude,,, so its barometric only?
-
I always do an Autostart (for the sake of this post). When I enable "Altitude Hold" It is clearly indicated as on in the Control Overlay, I always engage it when its within the appropriate parameters, and it seems to chug along just fine. When the terrain ahead of me starts to increase in elevation, I would expect the Altitude hold to maintain that altitude? it does not? If I let it go, it will run right into the ground at level flight? The Autopilot switch is up and so are the SAS switches, and so is the Altitude Hold switch. Speed is typically around 200 KPH with "0" on the velocity indicator. Is there something that is not being enable during the autostart? I have been searching for this answer for a couple of days, not to mention looking at more youtube tutorials? Any help would be apricated. Thanks,

Sorry guys, I never received any notifications that this was responded to till now? I already sold one on ebay, the other modded one I will sell once I get my Vipil sometime early this year. And I have no idea what the process is to ship out of the united states if I were to do that?

Thanks for the tip,

Thats a good question. I had an incident yesterday where I let someone in, and all he did was empty the gun

Thanks for the response, but I dont see any keybinds to change that say "Mouse Look"? I searched for "Mouse and didnt come up with anything relevant? Perhaps it is called something else? In addition, I haven't seen any responses regarding what : Camera Transpose Mode? Enable Visual Recon Mode? Thanks,
-
Im also interested in populating a Huey Server list, at the moment, mainly for experimenting with the multicrew performance, so as to not interrupt more serious operations. Any more recommendations anyone? Thanks.
-
Well, I cant find the mouse Y setting that is controlling the gun up/down binding so I can invert it? The mouse is not assigned to it from what I can see, yet it moves it?
-
Hmm,,, I see. It seems this approval or denial can NOT be accomplished thru voice attack then huh? Mouse only, so you need to take your hand off the stick and work the mouse

I am trying get an understanding of the Hueys Gunner options and can not find the explanations in the DCS guide or Chucks guide when I search for them. In the DCS Huey Options, you can select: Huey Sim Huey TrackIR Gunner Huey Gunner Not sure what the differences are between the last two, nor can I find an explanation for the options within those options: Camera Transpose Mode? Enable Visual Recon Mode? For starters, all I was trying to do is invert the mouse Y axis while I was attached to the door gunner, tinkering around in several locations, I could not achieve that, and that led to me trying to figure out what all this other stuff was? Thanks for any help.

I think I follow, so if im in the left seat and request control, in what manner does the right seater approve or deny? Does a menu pop up for him to do so? If so, is there a binding for those actions? Im trying to setup voice attack before I join any servers that are accommodating this. Thanks,
-
Where is the "Take Over Control" key bind located? I found the "Request Aircraft Control". Search didnt find it?

This all sounds awesome so far! Havnt tried it yet myself, but look forward to it! Thanks ED

Next item, I am using the microstick forward and aft to move the "BOOST" knob, but its way too fast. I spent a couple days trying to figure out how to slow it down without success. I couldnt get my head wrapped around the foxy configuration for this type of thing, even from reading the errors it was spitting out. If someone could offer me a tip, that would be greatly appreciated, thanks Rem ------------------------------------- Rem Microjoystick:(0 40 60 100) Rem ------------------------------------- MIX /I /O 5 3 (0 40 60 100) ( /H Boost_DECREASE) ^ ( /H Boost_INCREASE) EDIT: I Tried fiddling with the RATE(50) numbers, but couldnt get it to work smoothly,, worked with 10 to 500 but no luck

You are the man as usual sir! I will implement this today,,, many thanks again Rudel, and also for your continued contributions for all of us who still use Foxy.
