Really strange bug with X56
Pougatchev replied to Pougatchev's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ok bug found! It's linked to zoom view axis, once you assigned it all freeze -
Thank you

Same problem. The kind of thing that can put you out of sim for a while... :( I try everything from deleting my whole config to reinstall a freshly clean DCS, none work... Support contacted through main website, maybe a bad idea... Please ED make a move on this

Unable to bind controls since update
Pougatchev replied to Random's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Look like we have the same problem, If you do that can you load a mission after mapping an axis? for me the answer is no, what are your specs guys? I'm on laptop with x56 -
Hi all! First of all I'm on a gaming laptop, Each time I load DCS Throttle and Stick configuration reverse randomly, then I have to load the stick profile for the stick and the throttle profile for the throttle and all go right. (look like my throttle binding go to my stick and the reverse is also true). But that's not a real problem with the load possibility. The BIG problem I got now (don't get this last week), is that when I put an axis on a plane, then I can't see other axis moving in the list and the game can't load any mission... stuck on loading screen, like it freeze, if I configure an axis in flight same result and then I'm stuck on the exit loading screen...) If someone can help me it will be really really cool because as of right know I can't map anything and have to stay with my last week keymapping without touching anything. Thank you guys!

Yup! you have to create a little deadzone zen no problem at all (4 for me)

I learn something today, strange that this thing don't get any hybrid alignement like modern INS with GPS and/or GLONASS. BTW those capabilities are pretty impressive :)
-
I think that Russians don't use GPS, they certainly use GLONASS, and this things was ready two decades after the first KA-50 (96 for GLONASS around 80 for KA-50 technology), and in the ka-50 years INS use mechanicals gyros not as easy to align than actual gyrolaser or fiber optic gyroscope on numeric systems.

Forrestal Aircraft Carrier // A-6 Intruder
Pougatchev replied to Sn8ke's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Cobra said that 3 days ago on hoggit "We'll be making a list in the next day or two on the forums :)" about update on F14A and Forrestal  -
Maybe micro 3D polishing that can break the whole thing :dunno:
-
Agreed  I'm speaking globally, not especially for the Tomcat

Will us RIOs have a way to practise offline?
Pougatchev replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Then this forum is gonna be the tinder of Tomcats crew, single Rio searching single pilot... :D -
Honestly I don't like the Bonus system, I got a big amount of bonus but only can use few per module and they just disappeared, to be more commercially friendly with us the bonus system need to be rework in the way that loosing everything after few months is disappointing, also increasing the amount we can spend to buy something can be great, but yes I'm not commercial and I don't know anything about strategy with that, only my POV...

Will us RIOs have a way to practise offline?
Pougatchev replied to Cowboy10uk's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I think is not easy as it look, this thing is gonna be a long and hard work if it's done a day, I'm more thinking about flying as Rio for a friend, it's very easy to found a free pilot, more than finding a free Rio I think ;) -
For me having a 2k how it is right now is an amazing thing, and no one can said we have an other one like that elsewhere. Like a lot of DCS modules it become better and better polish after polish, like the shark and the hog, going back few step and be back to it is the best way for remembering that we have some pretty unique modules right here even if they are not as perfect as we want. It's frustrating for us but because I have work on some lock-on modules in the past, I can said that working while the community can't wait is a very special feeling and following the wave and wish is not an easy trick, some time you said something that seem feasible and one month later "oh crap it's not that easy to make it done in time", and I'm pretty sure all devs right here know this feeling.

Very Important Question regarding the RIO in MP
Pougatchev replied to MobiSev's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I pretty sure of this, imagin troll going in all tomcat on a side and making crap... No way -
I preferred to wait and have something accurate and working than something not acurate that we are complaining about for 20 more pages on this topic...
-
Exactly what I want to heard, gonna grind the cat and be back on the 2000 when you put this polish on my french beast
-
Agreed, maybe in few years, all the ECM things must be reworked cause they are all to simply modelised at the moment, but I'm sure that ED have some things in the pipe to improve jamming systems in the future :)
-
If I ever have to make a choice, I prefer something coming from nowhere, immediately available, and awaited by the community, I'm sure that some kind of plane can't go wrong with that. Some planes type come again and again in a lot of topic but no project or development in sight, so if you make it happening instently I think that can't go wrong, BTW I don't think that the F14 go wrong in anything because this plane is the game changer about combat in multicrew and in a lot of things that we never get before. In all cases you have always three side of peoples happy/fanboys/never happy :D
-
Is this planned to include something like GPS jamming? Or like weather influence on it, dop variance... Etc I think GPS trouble can cause some interesting things in all our plane :D (errors on GPS guided bombs etc...)
-
Imagine if the Tomcat was released without any announcement, no information, nothing, like how Falcon Allied Force come from nowhere in the market many years ago. :egg: Make and release unannounced modules can also be great :D

Time to get the Combined Arms what DCS deserves?
Pougatchev replied to Fri13's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
This is the only module I'm asking myself why I bought it, this thing isn't worth the price, in few years I don't see any big improvment in it. Controlling fleet, changing emcon, things like that would improve CA but I don't think this is happening soon. :noexpression: -
Any Good Su-30/35 Mods?
Pougatchev replied to FlankerMan's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
In my opinion, if ED was able to make a 27, it would already be done. I think getting the permissions for a SU-27 is just as complicated as the permissions for a Dassault aircraft... (A rafale for FSX was canceled one day after the release...) A little like what happend to the TU-22 Troika...
