Hi all!!! I take this photo during an hydrographic mission near devil's island in french Guyana around august/september 2013, I just look my album when I saw this pics, any idea about what can do that? The phenomenon was also viewable by eyes, not a lense phenomenon. Thank's  I have look around the net but i don't see any similar one :helpsmilie:

Thank's for all the hard work (for the team who is working on it). What is nice with you Tango, is that you make update really frequently in my opinion, I know that the biggest part of the work in a module is not visual but with you we can understand and imagine the progress, we don't have something like "I start the module" => "few months without any update" => "release".

Every community loss is terrible :( RIP Sniper

My version of Technical Difficulties by Racer X, after a "too much drunking night in a nightclub", sorry for the fails :D The solo was totally improvised so I think my brain was a little overloaded at the end :music_whistling:

I was looking this video... This remembering me my childish age when I was playing Flanker 2... So at the end we can see DCS for... Digital Combat Series :D So for now Air Land Sea is even more true because they're all almost playable... Intro like that are very very very missing in games our day.

Thank's for updating at this rate, with time, it's nice to see new project going to surface

Hmmm that beast can be a dream... But, i'm a little anxious with fire & forgot Dassault Aviation strike :noexpression:

Thank's Cobra! The majority of people who make some horrific criticism don't know anything about how it's hard to make a plane in DCS... We have take 6 months with CombatAce to make out only a 3D model of 33 (6 months to make a correct pilot for me...) So imagine the work for a DCS plane, flight model, 3D, textures, animations, cockpit, programming... Leatherneck guys are great in my opinion because they make alive a dead project and respect backers. Keep up the good work, i'm really patient, look like a VRS Tac-Pac wait, but if it work nice at the end :)

Amazing work Pat!!! I follow you since the start of your project, and i'm very happy to see that your mod is moving forward! For a little team work, you move fu***** fast :pilotfly:

www.simhq.com www.jeuxvideo.com, this last one is the french reference for video game news for most of french people, so making some news with them can be a great promotional use I think.

About to buy DCS F-15C, Dowload Beta Version?
Pougatchev replied to pauldy's topic in F-15C for DCS World
Correct, like any other DCS purchase, buying the beta significate buying the finished version  -
For the moment i'm on the Léopard. Nice sailing day with 6 to 7 meters waves on this schoolship? So I don't want to defend my opinion, but for the last 10 months (7 of navigation), that's certainly the most violent sea i have ever seen, maybe the video don't represent what i feel on this moment, but i can said you that 45degrees roll are very scary

Strange, if anyone have an answer to this problem  So, I'm gonna upload this to dailymotion too ;)

Don't worry about AdA for FC3

A lot of nice scenarios can be great with this option. I have conceived a mission named border guardian but at this time pretty impossible to make because terrain masking is unusable with triggers :( Imagine a second a multiplayer mission, you are on the runaway waiting, and your base or the AWACS called you "blablabla unknow plane approaching at 154 for 40nm 20000 feet blablabla", that can be amazing as hell with some base defense mission in multiplayer especially with the upcoming Mig-21... Even with the A-10C or the 25t, approching base detection area or AWACS detection can be a great challenge to make missions more realistic. Or in the future in FC3 with my two favorite beast F-15C and Su-27. Seriously I don't wanna dream about that, I just wan't that to be real :pilotfly:

PS: Title of the poll must be GAI and not GCI. Hi all! Ahhhh memories, sweet memories... GAI option (A flanker 2 option... Something like a DCS brother sim no? same theater, and some part of flanker are sleeping in DCS... Mig-29K is an example...) for a plane is to make this plane in stand-by on a base, when Awacs detect a contact, this plane automatically take-off to intercept it... So, someone told me that I have just to make a trigger :music_whistling: During fews second I think "hell yes why not, nice idea" but... A circle trigger Can't simulate correctly a base or awacs radar... Why? Because trigger don't care about mountain, stealth or ECM etc etc So what can I do? Please ED make this option back! Ground-controlled interception (GCI) can be nice too... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ground-controlled_interception Just imagine what some great mission we can make with that, base protection can be a really great point for the Mig-21 and maybe for your Hangar 18 "US fixed wing aircraft"... Is everything really subject to change??? :D That can be nice to discuss about that... Here is the exact description from flanker 2 manual: Ground Alert Intercept In many circumstances GAI usually proves to be preferable and more flexible for the organization of air defense than CAP. When taking part in a GAI mission, the aircraft is on alert duty on the runway with warmed-up engines. On receiving AWACS targeting data the aircraft takes off and effects an assisted intercept. Since high top speed and climb rate are extremely important for GAI, the most optimal aircraft for this task are the Su-27, MiG-29 and MiG-31. Note, however, that in our program the GAI task can be allocated only to automatic aircraft. We wouldn’t want you to stay Earth bound sitting on hot alert in the cockpit for long stretches of time waiting for intercept data. This can prove to be very boring and frustrating. If the enemy attacks with several aircraft, the aircraft on GAI duty will take-off one after another intercepting one enemy aircraft each. (Provided that you have allocated the GAI task to a sufficient number of aircraft.) When planning this type of mission you don’t need to design waypoints and action points. All you have to do is just set the takeoff point, declare it as a GAI station, and let the EWR and AWACS systems vector the aircraft accordingly. Note that intercept aircraft rarely have a complete weapons suite in order to offer maximum rate of climb and manoeuvreability. Note that when planning GAI the aircraft on hot alert don’t appear on the runway until the target data becomes available. The GAI concept is not without drawbacks. First of all, the EWR systems must detect enemy aircraft in good time; otherwise the aircraft on GAI duty on the airfield may become sitting ducks . Furthermore, to repulse attacks from any direction, the airfield with the aircraft on GAI duty must be sufficiently close to the installations being defended.

Impossible, when f-22 is shooting you haven't found it yet xD

Here is a nice reading I have and this one helping me in dogfight, especially in Falcon 4 BMS & DCS Mustang. Allied Fighter Aces: The Air Combat Tactics and Techniques of World War II http://www.amazon.com/Allied-Fighter-Aces-Tactics-Techniques/dp/1853672823 I'm gonna make a tutorial about dogfight basics, and explaining some basics rules like power management, corner speed, I think that can help some people like me in the past => totally lost with dogfight and just pulling hard on the stick without any knowledge :smartass:
