  1. I would LOOOOOOOOVEEEE to see the F15E. Would pay for it as soon as the option is available
  2. Just wanted to add, once that was done I had a real nice time on the nevada TTI tonight. There are still these random lag spikes that can do anything from freeze you for a few seconds to out right kill or disconnect you. Don't know what that's about and it seems pretty random. When it's all running smoothly though, it's a real joy in 2.1.
  3. On the nevada server, I ended up using CA to clear out those rampaging T90s. There were defensive emplacements at nellis, but their status is on Hold so they won't actually do anything. Using CA I can change their tasking which is what I did to clear the base.
  4. Even with the deferred shading turned off, it looks absolutely amazing. Performance seems improved on Nevada for me. Had a great time tonight on the "through the inferno" server.
  5. Any plans to add the northern part of the map? I have seen another server running a version of the mission there?
  6. Suggestion - fly F15 AI CAP & increase AI CAP spawn rate based on number of opposing players in CAP slots minus friendly players in CAP slots
  7. Anyone have any profiles for this baby on the x-55 hotas they'd like to share? Before you yell at me I DID search the Input/output forum but didn't find anything!
  8. well, you do need to get to know the "feel" of the shark so that when you lift off you aren't doing somersaults in the air. same thing with the Huey TBH. Controlling this bad boy didn't really click for me though until I realized that the trimmer is actually a form of autopilot. Mindblown at that realization and kind of Changed Things for me. Now I feel quite comfortable controlling it although losing track of what autopilot aids are active can be a problem sometimes.
  9. Hey by the way my problem was that I had both general throttle and individual engines mapped. Left engine and master throttle used the same axis. I don't mess around with individual engine throttle - too noob/lazy - so I removed those individual mappings and now I'm all set. Thanks for the suggestion.
  10. I will check this. I don't think I have any axis assigned to individual engines but perhaps there is something funky in the mappings. i did import a profile for my hotas.
  11. Thanks for answering. What do you think about changing their state to ReturnFire? That way if attacked by ground units that are ordered from the map, they will at least fight back?
  12. It should, but it doesn't seem to notify you clearly about what needs to be done if you aren't flying the right "slotted" vehicle (CAP, CAS, etc) or if you haven't previously selected air-to-ground missions. particularly in that upper left corner of the map it seems pretty common for that area to be overlooked by ground pounders, I'm guessing also since it's a bit of a haul for the ka50s from Kolkhi. So as a fighter in CAP all you'll see is a message that there's a mission in progress and no new tasks can be assigned, but it doesn't give any details about what the current mission is. If that info is available it's not easy to see without going to the F10 map (which then does make it kind of obvious... maybe that's the design intent).
  13. deadly can I ask some questions about the Combined Arms aspect. How is the CA intended to work on the server? Should it be used in conjunction with player vehicles to lase etc? I'm not super familiar with the workings of CA, though I do have the module, but for me I've been using it to mop up straggler units that players haven't cleared out in order to progress the tasking. So for example if there's an armored column up in the northwest of the map that no one is addressing, and most people are flying CAP and new fighters aren't spawning because it's waiting for the current task (destroying ground units) to complete; I'll just use CA on the F10 map to select a nearby friendly ground squad and direct them to destroy it. Which leads to the second point - when I use CA in this manner my units *always* destroy the enemy units. It's as if red doesn't fight back, like their default state doesn't permit them to return fire from attacking ground units. Is that intended?
  14. Weird thing I am seeing, but perhaps this is normal. I haven't been able to find any threads or see reference to it in the manual. Sometimes I see a "lag" on the left engine on the Mig-29. This usually manifests as the afterburner on the left engine doesn't come on, or it sort of sputters. Sometimes, the engine loses power during takeoff and i'll yaw to the left immediately after lift off. Restarting the engine helps for a little but it often happens again soon after. It's a regular occurrence that made me think it's just a quirk of this vehicle - shoddy engine reliability - but then when I bring it up on MP chat no one else seems to know what I'm talking about. Am I doing something wrong?
  15. It's the mouse cursor thing. Press Alt C to toggle the cursor on and off. When it's off the mouse zoom works, when it's on it does'nt work. Frakin had it right.
  16. Is it possible to distribute the slots more evenly among the different airports in the area. Senkaki is often overpopulated creating problems with the ATC, etc. Also, it seems there is a FARP at Senkaki as well (Dallas) so we will often spawn in a fighter but within the Dallas FARP radius, meaning we can't use Senkaki ATC for startup and taxi comms.
  17. I've been noticing a distinct lack of bad guys to fight the last couple of evenings. So many players on one side in a restricted area of just a few airports means anything that spawns is rapidly destroyed. Feels like the area of operations need to expand.
  18. Any thoughts on why we aren't seeing the Nevada server? Is it offline then?
  19. Hi I'd like to be able to zoom in the cockpit using the mouse wheel. I can do so in my A10C but it doesn't work in my KA-50. I went into Control Options and looked at the Zoom options ... I'm not able to click into the Mouse column on any of them to set the binding. What am I missing?
  20. Thanks - so what do the icons look like on the ABRIS when it detects enemy units? Are they lines, a shaded area, etc? PS yes I agree, I love the Ka50 and have played it more than any other, especially once I got used to the trimmer & autopilot functions
  21. Tried this server out last night. Quite enjoyed it. I like the implementation of the minimum labels that only shows the little line, not the unit designation. It really helps with SA without giving too much away, but even more than that just flying around and surveying the battlefield, seeing those friendly and enemy tick marks spread around made the whole thing feel more alive. I've added this server to Favorites. Thanks!!
  22. I played on another server that had "minimum" labels on. They were only viewable from a certain distance and just shows a small colored line, not the designation of the unit. Flying my ka50 I found this to be extremely helpful in at least finding the ground targets. All of the tactics of keeping distance and trying to prioritize units from visual inspection with shkval still applied. It just gave me a direction to look in. Also, don't know how to describe it, but it just made the battlefield feel more alive and interesting because it was easier to pick up where the action was. Anyway, just some thoughts from another experience you may want to consider.
  23. i noticed this as well, and in multiplayer too. Once you leave the session and come back the saved route is gone. it's a real shame
  24. Is there a downside to just leaving the anti-dust on all the time?
