That's the same settings I have. Does it work now? Do you have an administrator account? If not, you will need to apply the same settings to your personal account as well.

badger... 1. right click your DCS World folder, select Properties 2. click the Security tab 3. select 'Administrators' in the 'Group or user names' window and click 'Edit' 4. select 'Administrators' in the 'Group or user names' window and check all the 'Allow' boxes 5. click Apply and then OK 6. Enjoy

Badger, you're only supposed to replace the files in the specific folders and not the whole folder :music_whistling:

Hey Zaelu, You're right but that's not a limitation of the engine, it's a limitation of the textures that I have. What you're seeing are photos taken from around 5000 feet. You can buy 100mx100m (0.1km2) textures for EUR 20 each and only from certain countries, so it is only worth purchasing them if you are producing payware, for example the airports that ORBX make. I'm doing this for free in my spare time so no mega high resolution at super low level, sorry. You can experiment with the noise texture but I only see it kick in at a really low level eg 200 feet and then only in a 30m radius around my aircraft, the same with clutter. My advice is to stay above 500 feet and enjoy the view :)

No idea Mainstay, sorry. Tell everyone to download it and see what happens.

File approved, enjoy :)

Please note there is NO fps hit. The original textures are 5mb, mine are 10mb.

4096x4096 but don't worry, texture file size is 10mb. Now all we need is some high resolution terrain mesh!

---------------------------------------- DCS Enhanced Terrain Texture Pack ---------------------------------------- This is a free ground texture mod for all four seasons, colour matched to existing DCS World textures. I've used high resolution aerial photography source material from the Sochi Adler region. UPDATE 23/09/2013 Edit the following text in your High.lua file in the --Old Noise section Line 42 to scale the textures so that they fit better to the towns and villages. (Thanks Mustang) DOWNLOAD THIS MOD FROM HERE If you enjoy using this mod, then click on the tiny red/white +- icon on the left to show your appreciation. Enjoy. Toby ---------------------------------- Version 1.1 UPDATE 10/09/13 ---------------------------------- - Improves the texture repeat from high altitude - Readme updated for people with windows permission problems - Sweet FX Settings included

It works fine! Start at Sochi Adler to see the textures. As Maxzouz said, Put the textures here: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\TempTextures

Dear ED Team or anyone who can help, I am developing high resolution ground textures based on aerial ground photography from the Sochi Adler region. The seasonal tiles are ready and I am about to start work on the urban tiles but I have a problem that I need to solve first. I have edited the noise_1.bmp.dds files and these display correctly in DCS World. The problem is that there is another texture laid over all ground textures, a seasonal coloured noise texture that I cannot find. Q. Where is it and what is it called? It looks like blend_noise.bmp.dds but it's not. At the moment, it is discolouring my textures as you can see in the images attached. I tested the first two with a plain 50% gray background (see image 3) in Spring Season. The fourth image is a screenshot from Summer, which also has slight discolouration. Images have been scaled for posting and have lost some of their original fidelity. Your help is much appreciated. Toby

I recently bought a G940 and installed BS2. At the moment, I'm assigning (F) Collective Brake to Throttle 1 in the Logitech control panel and Throttle 2 axis is assigned as the Collective in DCS BS2. This works great in the Black Shark module but overrides all of the other modules, ie P51D, Huey etc and that creates problems. How can I assign the Collective Brake to an axis in DCS BS2 or is there another solution apart from a hardware mod?

Quick update. This mod still works fine with 1.2.5. Just tested with Black Shark 2. Happy hunting.

I've taped over the deadman sensor so the stick doesn't jump to centre when I release my hand from the stick but when I do what you said the stick still moves slightly and doesn't stay in exactly the same spot I left it in... I can check this with the R Shift Enter red overlay.
-
When I add more Spring Force (eg same as you), when I release the trim button, the stick jumps forwards by 1-2cm.
-
-
It was running before and I clicked on Init Direct Input once mission was loaded.
-
So if I have this set up right, when I click and hold trim I should feel hardly any force, then when I release, I feel some resistance again? When I release the trim, the stick moves slightly, position is never 100% what I selected when I release trim button. When I test it with only simFFB it works as expected, only in-game isn't as accurate any more. Is this the correct behaviour?
-
Thanks Scarecrow. I was clicking trim instead of hold and release. SimFFB helps too.

I just bought a second-hand G940, I've never had an FFB stick before, only regular ones like the X52, TM WH etc. With DCS Huey or P51-D, there is a huge 'loose' area in the middle of the stick (feels like 2-3cm) which is very sensitive to input and has no resistance. Should it be like this? When I trim, I am still able to move the stick around, why, I thought that the idea was that I shouldn't be able to move the stick unless I press the trim button again? How am I supposed to use the trim button correctly? Are there any guides on how to set up the G940 for DCS using the Logitech software/ FFB app? Thanks, Toby

@Evil - I manually installed this Training file pack last night and today after the automatic update to 1.2.5, all Training Files are missing in-game. Manuall reinstall works fine.

Is this (Link to Amazon Product) the same DCS P51-D as available in the DCS Store for $39.99? I would like to own the P51-D but EUR 9,39 sounds too good to be true. Is it the full version and will it integrate into my DCS World install?
