Updated to correct an error in the original texture that removed the Fire Handle light effect. Please download again and replace the bad texture with the good one. Thank you for your understanding. Toby -

Updated 27/07 Thanks for your feedback -
If you want to remove the numbers and use your own that you painted onto the texture, add this text to the bottom of the description.lua file. {"A-10_Number", 0 ,"empty",true}; {"A-10_Number_Noze_F", 0 ,"empty",true}; {"A-10_Number_Noze_T", 0 ,"empty",true}; {"A-10_Number_Wheel", 0 ,"empty",true}; Nice skin.

Hi Chizh, You need to install a paid-for app called Auto Hotkey. It enables you to use programmable keys/buttons. Sorry, I thought I had mentioned that in the readme. You buy the Autohotkey add-on inside of the TouchIR app on the iPad. Open Settings in TouchIR iPad App, click Upgrade in the Tools section and you will see some add-ons that you can buy. They're cheap, so it's ok. If you need any help, just let me know. Toby

Quirk! you did it, almost... I just flew campaign mission 10-1-0, Georgian Hammer and the only problem was that the sun flashed with the TGP in CCD mode at the beginning of the mission, only for the first few minutes. Thanks for your detective work, very much appreciated. I feel your pain but thanks to you the sim is now performing beautifully! Settings in-game attached. PS I forgot to try with mirrors, don't normally fly with them..

My mistake.. I didn't see an A-10 thread, so I posted this here...

Simple Two Page Start-Up Guide and Mission Data Card Available

slackerD, 1. This is a Start Up Checklist and assumes Launch Cockpit Setup has been completed, so yes, the Emergency Brake handle should be in the correct position, which is why I recommend to Check the Emergency Brake position. The same goes for the Flap position. 2. Cycle Pitot Heat switch to test (it's working), not Cycle Pitot switch to test (position). This is a simulation, so this is pointless, but I like the procedure. 3. How do you know that the Squat switch inhibits CMSP operation in real life? I thought it only controlled the Anti-Skid System and the Speedbrakes. What do you do in real life that makes you qualified to give this advice? Just for your info, this Checklist is based on the manual and a real A-10C crew chief's procedures. -
How I got SLI mode working... Yes, this time it works!
toby23 replied to toby23's topic in Bugs and Problems
Gonzo, try restoring the Nvidia Control Panel settings. If you have been messing with Nvidia Inspector, also reset settings for Black Shark to default. This only worked for me after I had really reset the settings to default. Good luck -

Updated for Version 1.1.0.9 -
Tommy, I agree with you but I don't have experience dropping these bombs in real life, so I can't comment. My information is sourced from the manual, the USAF, FAS.org, Northrup Grumman and Wikipedia and also based on first hand JTAC accounts. Perhaps the sim is a bit too generous with bomb damage?

How I got SLI mode working... Yes, this time it works!
toby23 replied to toby23's topic in Bugs and Problems
After a fresh install of 1.1.0.9, my old SLI settings stopped working and I got a huge performance hit using WHOT/ BHOT TGP. After playing with the settings, this is what works for me for now. I totally agree with you that we need a setting for SLI that works which isn't EVERY FRAME. -
I've made a replacement texture which includes the missing CDU EGI text on the right console. As usual, installation instructions are included in the Read Me. Enjoy

I found a fix for SLI, see HERE
-
I wanted to post this here in case anyone misses it in the Tech Section. I finally found a fix for SLI mode. I've got it working in native resolution with no graphical errors. See THIS post for more info. Happy hunting

EDIT - Quirk! has found a working fix for SLI - See HERE for more info I have almost got SLI mode working properly at native resolution. The culprit was a combination of the in-game SHADOWS setting and RES. OF COCKPIT DISPLAYS. By reducing SHADOWS to Medium and setting RES. OF COCKPIT DISPLAYS to 512 every frame all the problems have gone. No more flickering, no more jagged lines (edit - I just flew a campaign mission and the jagged TGP lines came back) and no more huge performance hit in WHOT/BHOT mode. The only problem left, and it is hardly noticeable, is that there is a very slight stutter in WHOT/ BHOT mode when you look out the right side of the cockpit and only when there are a lot of trees in view. Perhaps an option for tree density might help in a future patch? Even though the cards aren't being 100% utilised, I see a major improvement in smoothness with SLI active at 2560x1600 resolution. Max memory usage with 4xAA in-game and 2x AA Transparency Supersampling forced (smoother than in-game TSSAA) was 1492mb and Max GPU usage 72% using 2x GTX580 cards. Anisotropic filtering 16x is automatically controlled by the Sim, I found out, so I removed that from the Nvidia Control Panel. My in-game settings are below as are my Nvidia Control Panel settings. Happy hunting. Toby

Ok, what I've done for now is to switch SLI off and as a result, I have had to drop down to 1920x1200 to get decent performance, with my settings. It would be great if ED can fix the SLI so we can max performance.

EDIT - Almost solved it now - See HERE for more EDIT - While this works for some single player missions, it causes major flickering clouds in some campaign missions so it's not a real fix... back to the drawing board... I've got rid of the flickering MFCD TGP screen in SLI mode. 1. Open the Nvidia Control Panel 2. Restore Default Settings for DCS Black Shark 3. Set 'SLI rendering mode' to 'Use global setting (Nvidia recommended)' 4. Set 'Antialiasing Mode' to 'Override any application setting' 5. Set 'Antialising - Setting' to 'SLI 8x' 6. A warning will pop up (By selecting SLI 8x antialiasing.....) 7. Click Yes 8. Set 'Antialiasing - Setting' to '4x' 8. A second warning will pop up (SLI visual quality is highest when....) 9. Click Yes 10. Set up the other settings according to Screenshot 1 below. 11. Open DCS A-10C and set up in-game MSAA, VSYNC and RES. OF COCKPIT SETTINGS according to Screenshot 2 below. 12. Start a mission and enjoy flicker free hunting I've seen the odd cloud flicker but the flickering in the TGP is gone. I think this is forcing the sim to use a different SLI rendering mode but I don't understand enough about it to write something smart here. YMMV, this works for me in patch 1.1.0.9 If it works for you, let me know below.
