  1. Ok, got it fixed. I needed to do a second repair on DCS 2.1 and now it's working perfectly. ;)
  2. Ah, the fun I'll have when my son gets old enough to understand technology isn't just funny lights and something you can throw or hit. :P
  3. Yup, everything is entered correctly. I double checked all of that. I also repaired 2.1 in case it was my install that was having the problem but that didn't help either. If you're running it ok then there must be an issue on my end. I just don't know what it could be.
  4. After a bit more testing I found that the Mig-29S still pulls a little when at Sukhumi-Babushara. I hope this will get fixed in 2.5.
  5. Single Player AA AG combat all the way. ;) I've never touched Multi Player and acrobatics alone gets boring quickly. :P
  6. Since zeeman90 asked if anyone tested it I chimed in with what little was released in the 1.5.7 update that could be toyed with. No secret patch, no overactive imagination, and no inside information. Just using what we were all given to let him know that, as of right now, the update didn't include a fix for exploding on touchdown. :smilewink:
  7. I have with what was done in the 1.5.7 update. Exploding still happens unfortunately. I just crashed after fighting 2 F-4E's a few minutes ago. I was going 290 kmh and descending at -6 m/s. I exploded as soon as I touched down. I also tried once earlier at a descent of -5 m/s. I exploded then too. I have also touched down successfully with those parameters yesterday so it's where I touched the deck, not how. So far you still have to touched down at just the right point, at just the right speed, at just the right angle, at just the right descent not to spontaneously explode. I hope it'll work a little better later on where, if you do something wrong you'll damage the plane but won't necessarily explode just because.
  8. Thankfully in 1.5.7 it seems to be fixed. :smilewink: Now if they'll just fix 2.1 too. :P
  9. I just tried the Su-33 in 1.5.7 and there have been several changes made already. :D Most notably the wings now fold a lot slower than before and the wire on the Admiral Kuznetsov now actually retracts slowly like what we saw in the F/A-18C video from E3. :D I haven't noticed any other changes but those are 2 that have made it so far. :D
  10. If the map goes all the way up to Iraq and Kuwait the Mig-25 and Mig-23 would be a possibility. :smilewink:
  11. Good point. Maybe we should use "non-massively exported planes" instead. :P May the dcs gods forgive me.
  12. There's never enough indigenous fighters. :D There's way too many US aircraft being created and not enough of anything else to balance it. :P
  13. I'd take an export Mig-23, 25, or 29 over an F-16 or another F-15 module any day. ;) I would love to see a full fidelity Mig-29K or Su-33... but that certainly won't happen (especially since the 29K is new). :(
  14. They both look nice. I'm not sure how much information would be available for the developers to make accurate simulations of those two (especially the J-10), but I would love to see both in DCS.
  15. My question is will the new Su-33 update be released for 1.5 and 2.1 or just 2.1? Looks like the carrier got an overhaul too.
  16. Just a quick question. Will the ACLS that's coded in the module itself work only with the Forrestal carrier or will it work with carrier that is already in DCS (and the Nimitz that is being worked on for the F/A-18C module)?
  17. The video I saw I could barely make out where they touched down. :P That's good for the F-18. I just hope the F-14 is that good.
  18. You can touch down and catch the very first wire (closest to the stern) but you need to be in just the right position and close to the first wire to do it without exploding. I've done it a few times (once just a few minutes ago). Hopefully the F-14 and F-18 are better and will not explode just because you're not close enough to the wires.
  19. Thank God. I can't afford to buy 2 F-14 modules. :P
  20. Thanks for letting us know you're considering the expanded weapons. :smilewink: I personally would love to have the option. I can't see anyone refusing to buy the module just because the option is there. No one stopped downloading DCS just because there's the options for easier flight, unlimited fuel, etc. :D
  21. :D Ok, now I really can't wait to get my hands on this. :pilotfly: :joystick:
  22. Not just cocky but completely uncalled for since only 3 people in all the posts before his even mentioned FPS rates and most just voiced concerns that it might be slow. Most people can't afford a new computer just to have one plane work well. Putting that aside... I don't have the Viggen (since I'm saving the money for this one and the F-18) but I hope the rates will be ok. I'll even lower some settings just to make sure :smilewink: I'm really really excited for the release so I can try it. :D
  23. I'm really excited to see how this is going to look when it's done.... I'm also very much afraid the fps rate on my system will get really slow. :P
  24. That is awesome. I can't wait to try this out on DCS. :D
