  3. Not with BSS. We may well add another weekly event that will be called BSS-DiD or Black Sea ShowDown - Dead is Dead. The monthly event is designed to take advantage of our huge bandwidth and high end pc, being a giant sized campaign with full capacity of clients the whole time. Also newer guys get a taste of mission planning and execution without the deterrent of maybe after all that work having to sit out the remainder of the event if they get taken out early. The end result is based on a points system and loss of aircraft will impact on that.

  7. This one is going to be HUGE! Last chances to sign up! 6 Slots left So Hurry!!
  8. This "part" we could well do without. I see history repeating itself - Janes F18 / Rudel Saga. Making "available" an application that means anyone can hack Lock On is criminial. So I just hope for your sake that is not what you plan to do. If I was working for Eagle Dynamics I would already be gathering Evidence to use later just in case legal action could be taken.
  9. That doesnt stop a player dumping during the engagement.
  10. This sums it up. It is lame. If players agree on a fuel load they stick to it. This is why when i used to fly gunzo alot I used to say.."Take what you think you need to win" Much more fun imo.
  11. I think it might be the other way around. but what do I know ?
  12. BEDEVERE: Tell me. What do you do with witches? VILLAGER #2: Burn! VILLAGER #1: Burn! CROWD: Burn! Burn them up! Burn!... BEDEVERE: And what do you burn apart from witches? VILLAGER #1: More witches! VILLAGER #3: Shh! VILLAGER #2: Wood! BEDEVERE: So, why do witches burn? [pause] VILLAGER #3: B--... 'cause they're made of... wood? BEDEVERE: Good! Heh heh. CROWD: Oh, yeah. Oh. BEDEVERE: So, how do we tell whether she is made of wood? VILLAGER #1: Build a bridge out of her. BEDEVERE: Ah, but can you not also make bridges out of stone? VILLAGER #1: Oh, yeah. RANDOM: Oh, yeah. True. Uhh... BEDEVERE: Does wood sink in water? VILLAGER #1: No. No. VILLAGER #2: No, it floats! It floats! VILLAGER #1: Throw her into the pond! CROWD: The pond! Throw her into the pond! BEDEVERE: What also floats in water? VILLAGER #1: Bread! VILLAGER #2: Apples! VILLAGER #3: Uh, very small rocks! VILLAGER #1: Cider! VILLAGER #2: Uh, gra-- gravy! VILLAGER #1: Cherries! VILLAGER #2: Mud! VILLAGER #3: Uh, churches! Churches! VILLAGER #2: Lead! Lead! ARTHUR: A duck! CROWD: Oooh. BEDEVERE: Exactly. So, logically... VILLAGER #1: If... she... weighs... the same as a duck,... she's made of wood. BEDEVERE: And therefore? VILLAGER #2: A witch! VILLAGER #1: A witch! CROWD: A witch! A witch!... VILLAGER #4: Here is a duck. Use this duck. [quack quack quack] BEDEVERE: Very good. We shall use my largest scales. CROWD: Ohh! Ohh! Burn the witch! Burn the witch! Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Ahh! Ahh... BEDEVERE: Right. Remove the supports! [whop] [clunk] [creak] CROWD: A witch! A witch! A witch! WITCH: It's a fair cop. VILLAGER #3: Burn her! CROWD: Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Burn! Burn!...
  13. she's a Witch!, she's a Witch!
  14. Black Sea ShowDown 2 (September 2007) Sides are already filling fast and numbers are limited. If you missed out last time, don’t this time. On the last Saturday of every month at 2100Z (Greenwich Mean Time), 169th Panthers will host a closed (password) session on the 169th Dedicated server via HyperLobby. It will be a “Grand Finale” to the mission that has been hosted on the server for September. The excercise will run for 4 hours exactly. Any aircraft that have not landed at an airfield at the close will be considered as dead. The 169th Statistics Board which now supports Air to Ground statistics will be the scorer and a separate database will be created specifically for this encounter. We also recommend everyone record their track so as they have evidence of any possible discrepancy. How to sign up. Register to our Forums and in the “Black Sea Showdown” Forum Category sign up in the Sign Up Thread and also request which side you wish to join. You will then be given access the appropriate section where mission planning for your team can take place. When registering, please use your regular callsign as per HyperLobby. This is to minimise the chance of dual registrations or spies. All participants will be required to use Teamspeak during the match. There are some real benefits in this format. One being the ability to run events more frequently. Less pressure on planning and the ability to practice your sorties in an environment with human opposition at any time. Rules: The 169th Dedicated Server Rules must be adhered to as well as the Online Etiquitte. Up to 64 players can register plus reserves. That’s 32 per side. You will be allowed to respawn. You will be allowed to change aircraft. If by chance the Red Team lose their Kuznetsov carrier then the Su-33’s that took off from it must change to another group. Any players in Su33’s that spawn over Bulls Eye (Nav 1) will immediately be removed from the server. Good Hunting!

  16. I dont think a fast battle planner would be as useful as triggers or random events in the editor itself. For this reason I will vote "NO" Note: These two questions really are the same Not needed. I'd rather make missions in full editor. Not needed. I only ever use properly build missions and campaigns.
  17. As predicted the scores were very close. Red Team: 406 Points Blue Team 455 Points Congratulations to all that participated in the exhilarating event. Scores this month were worked out manually. You can download the original Excel spread sheet Here The BSS Forums are now open. Sign Up before you miss out on your spot. September event will be on Saturday the 29th and start at 2100Z (GMT) You will need to be loading into the server Half an Hour before (2030Z)
  18. Looks good! We'll get the boys signed up ASAP!
