Amazing stuff guys! Just one point, as you add versions, the google folder is going to become a real nightmare to navigate My suggestion would be to either, 1. have only the current version of the mod in that folder and move all others to an archive folder, or 2. only provide direct download links to the current version in your threads, rather than the folder they are stored in. -

Hi Ragonaut, this can be a real problem. First, make sure you only add ONE aircraft per unit to start with. Add the unit, set waypoints, formation and position in the group and the weapon loadout. THEN, Make sure you have the 2D unit-icon view showing. Add in the remaining 3 aircraft in the group. Then scroll in to see if the aircraft icons are pointing in the correct direction. IF they are, they should normally spawn in OK. If they are NOT, you will need to add in a new waypoint 1 for that group which will force the icons to rotate into the correct heading. Then once corrected you can remove waypoint 1. This works for me often, no 100% of the time, but often. Does that make sense?

Thanks for posting this. It's great so see someone do tests with a solid methodology, explaining with their voice what they are doing and seeing all the time. Far too often I see people posting crappy 30 second long context-free nonsense without proper explanation of what they are doing, what they are controlling for and the results they are seeing. THIS is how FM testing should be done and shared. Interesting observation. Half a ball off isn't a great deal out of trim though, especially when the engine is producing enough power to travel at 370mph. I'd like to see the tests conducted at 200mph to see if the lower engine power setting shows a difference. The fully-off centre ball showed a 9mph speed degradation. And Shahdoh asks the right question, how much should we expect to see? How sensitive is the slip indicator in the mustang for a start?I notice that in the spit a very small amount of slip results in quite a lot of nose-movement form the aircraft. But in Shahdoh's video it seems the Mustang is not that responsive to being un-balanced. This could just mean that the P51 has a low range in the slip indicator. What about other aircraft with vastly different wing design like the spitfire? Do we see a different response to slip?

Hi Weedwacker, Storm of War is not a "group", it is primarily an independant server run and used by people from different clans/ squads/ groups. Anyone can join and fly on the server. There is no membership requirement. If you're looking for an active WW2-based multiplayer group for DCS that is in the US time-zone, I'd recommend contacting these guys, the 362nd: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=200631 . -

Seems there is an option for this under the main DCS game options. I wasn't aware of it, but have fixed it now, hopefully. -

Hi QuiGon, I tried both of those and unfortunately the F5 view is still available with both. As long as there is another aircraft in the same group spawned, I can always use F5 to see it from external views... -

SoW is testing a new compilation of WW2 mods on the server this weekend. If successful we will integrate this mod pack on a permanent basis. It allows us to have lots of nice new toys (A.I. aircraft, ships, player and AI grounds vehicles and new skins) in the mission, as provided by some talented madders in the DCS Community. Hopefully testing will be complete this weekend, then we will open back up for public players. -
Are you playing in 1080p??.. I can actually see the contacts in your video. I can't see anything in 1440p until its too late.

OPEN BETA version 1. left of the auto-pilot indicator switches, the sun will reflect of some transparent panels that are visible outside of the cockpit 2. copies show as an opaque white film now at ranges of around 500m and above These are both old bugs I think, that seem to have crept back in.

When testing in DCS, make sure you are using low RPM and boost. In the air-shows they never use the combat high engine settings that we use in games. This is because in real life they need to preserve the aircraft. Even Nick Gray, who owns the fighter collection, says the highest boost level he has ever flown in his Mark 14 Spitfire is just +14lb boost. That's a long, long way off what this aircraft is rated for in combat. -
I would definitely owe you a Maß if we could fly the A4 on your server :)

I've looked at Saburo's two .lua files. Everything is exactly the same as our Admin uses in his own DCS folders . . The only line we have edited on the server is CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.000000,140.000000}, We changed the lowest value from 20 to 30 and the highest value from 140 down to 105, so it is this CameraViewAngleLimits = {30.000000,105.000000}, The guy who is an admin on our server, who flies both the 190 and 109 reported this:
