There will be a purchase link on the 15th! :D Best regards, Tango.
-
Hi, I think promotional videos are in production, and should be available shortly. Best regards, Tango.
-
LOL no - that is a screenshot we posted. Best regards, Tango.
-
We will try and get it ready for release day, but if it doesn't make it, it will be released shortly afterwards. Best regards, Tango.
-
Aginor is correct. We also established that for reasons unknown, the laser version can't be modeled in DCS (it was completely disabled). Best regards, Tango.

I addressed this previously: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2155087&postcount=12 Best regards, Tango.

Hi, We will take it under advisement. We do not discuss the reasoning for our strategy, or that of other developers. The plan as it stands right now is you pay for the SFM version, and will get the SFM version, then you can purchase the AFM update later when it is available. Best regards, Tango.
-
Hi, The upgrade from SFM to AFM is $10 and will be for both aircraft. Best regards, Tango.
-
Could you elaborate? I think we have been very up-front about all aspects of the development and what we anticipate will and will not be included. Best regards, Tango.
-
Hi, Would you be happy with a module that had the ability for fictional weapons load, that was tested in reality but never entered service? Best regards, Tango.
-
http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2089326&postcount=1 Note that Sea Eagle never entered service. If the CC we are modeling can carry it, we will consider it, but it would be semi-fictional as a result, and not guaranteed to make it into the product. Best regards, Tango.
-
We would have liked to have added the Sea Eagle, but it was only a prototype and never entered service. Best regards, Tango.
-
It was a joke! :D Best regards, Tango.
-
Thank you! Probably not in the initial release (we are still busy working on the aircraft itself - the wait, we hope you will agree, will be worth it) but yes, we will create missions/campaign for them. Best regards, Tango.

+1 This indecision's bugging me... :music_whistling: Best regards, Tango.

Hi, 1) As far as SFM allows, they are quite different. Hawk has swept wing, C-101 has straight wing. Hawk can go supersonic in a dive, C-101 would probably break up. 2) The systems are VERY different. C-101 has more and greater depth to its systems. Where Hawk is simple in its operation, C-101 has many things you as a pilot can do with them. One example is battery isolation. Hawk just has a battery master ON/OFF whilst C-101 has a battery master and an ability to isolate the batteries independently. 3) Flight director, ability to carry more and a wider array of weapons. Best regards, Tango.

Hi, It is simply a question of complexity. AFM development is a very different problem to systems development. You may not realize it, but basically every AFM created is re-building the complete physics engine from scratch (they share a common element called a physics integrator) but otherwise each AFM is unique. As a consequence of this complexity, the development time and effort is astronomical because whilst the actual physics are well understood, and the equations can be found in engineering textbooks, the hard part is making those equations behave like an actual aircraft, not a bunch of numbers. That is where the hard part lies - in testing and tuning everything so it feels "right". Basically, the very thing people criticize SFM for is where the work in AFM is. It is more complex (and more capable as well) but at the end of the day, they are still equations running on a computer. From a consumer perspective, I completely understand why you'd want AFM "out the box", but development costs money, and so the compromise is that we do everything else first, make an initial release, then continue to develop the AFM and release it later. Best regards, Tango.

Like any light attack aircraft, it requires air supremacy. It is by no means a lightweight, however. It's all about tactics. Happy New Year! Best regards, Tango.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DCS: C-101 Beta Release on January 15th, 2015 VALENCIA, Spain, December 31st, 2014 - DCS: C-101 Beta will be released on January 15th, 2015! DCS: C-101 will include both the C-101EB and C-101CC models. The C-101EB model is the primary jet trainer and aerobatic display aircraft of the Spanish Air Force, whilst the C-101CC model, with its 7 hard-points and uprated engine, is a versatile light attack aircraft that has seen combat with the Honduras Air Force against drug traffickers. It is also in service with the Jordanian and Chilean air forces. The two models of the C-101 have many similarities that include cockpit layout, core-systems operation, and aerodynamic design. This commonality brings something for everyone to include lead-in jet training, advanced aerobatics, and light attack. The C-101EB model is now complete, with the light attack C-101CC version close behind. The AvioDev Technical Team is comprised of rated pilots and engineers that are dedicated to providing the highest level of accuracy and realism. The Beta of the C-101CC is scheduled to be released by the end of February 2015. Advanced flight models are currently in development and will follow the release of the C-101EB and C-101CC. Features of DCS: C-101 include: Complete electrical system modelling Complete circuit breaker simulation with correct failed systems behaviors TARSYN gyro system replicated with exacting detail Accurate flight director system Custom air data simulation (airspeed/altimeter behaviors, etc.) Custom navigation system simulation Complete fuel system modeling Complete hydraulic system modeling Flight controls/landing gear can sustain damage if poorly handled Accurate pressurization system Accurate oxygen system Icing model Fully adjustable cockpit and exterior lighting Additional features of the C-101CC model include: HUD/Gun sight Complete weapons system modeling Custom ADF navigation radio system AoA indexer and AoA indicator Standby airspeed and altimeter incorporating unique physics Radio altimeter Advanced flight director system ABOUT DCS WORLD Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World) is a free-to-play digital battlefield, focusing on military aircraft simulation. It includes a FREE TF-51D and an Su-25T attack aircraft. DCS World includes a vast mission area of the Caucasus region that encompasses much of Georgia - the location of the 2008 conflict. Further maps will be available in 2014. Additionally, DCS World includes: Powerful mission and campaign editors Multiplayer Massive inventory of air, land and sea combat units and weapons Advanced AI Fast mission generator Dynamic weather and seasons Training missions Mission replay system Pilot log book This exceptionally detailed and realistic world simulation engine guarantees an engaging, real-world combat experience in this flashpoint region. DCS is a true "sandbox" simulation that can and will cover multiple time periods covering many types of aircraft and ground vehicles. DCS World allows both realistic game play and more casual play styles to suit the player. Download DCS World for free from: http://www.dcs-world.com ###

Hi everyone! As the end of another year rapidly approaches, we would like to say thank you for your support in 2014, and wish everyone the best for 2015! We have been hard at work over the holiday period, in preparation for the release of our C-101. You can read more information in our press release here: On behalf of everyone at AvioDev, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Best regards, AvioDev Team.

Hi, Eventually, yes. Best regards, Tango.

Hi, Yes it will! Thanks for the support! 8) Best regards, Tango.

Hi Rudel chw, :music_whistling::music_whistling: Best regards, Tango.

The problem is not so much the wing but the whole thing. * Nose attitude = negative * Wing attitude = negative (not talking AoA here) * Thrust vector = negative Everything says it should be descending. I doubt that the fuselage generates *that* much lift... Best regards, Tango.
