I would be perfectly happy with missions similar to the ones in Sim HQ review 2 and 3, then we can try startup,navigation and combat along with crashing:D. But in the interests of ED winning over casual people, the 'Game' mode should be included.

This game will be able to be bought from shops around the world do you REALLY think that ONLY "legitimate innocent honest" people will buy this game. Piracy of software is EVERYWHERE (EVERY COUNTRY). And anyway who are some people on the internet to say that there shouldn't be an increase in protection (of a obviously insecure product) because we are "Innocent cute cuddly honest people". Sorry but what do you mean by this. Will it get sluggish and unresponsive or ...... I knew Saitek where better but, since for some reason they aren't plentiful here(anymore, used have a great one), I was gonna settle for Logitech. Looks like I may need to reconsider. I thought the couger or whatever was a top range product, has the price of one.

I'll post here instead of another topic. Ok here's my issue: I have a model aircraft simulator controller 'radio'(Real Flight G3), I will by a normal joystick with throttle integrated and twist for rudder. The model controller has: 2 2pos switches, a rotary nob, a 3 pos switch, 1 normal button and 2 sticks (on one the x-axis is 'knotched'). Will I be able to use both and if so will the game recognize the switches properly or will it do what other games do and treat them like a button that gets stuck 'on'. Will be great if I can use the switches for weapon panel stuff and one stick for SHKVAL freeing up more hat switch, keyboard keys and eliminating some complex keyboard combos. Don't think you can answer this but meh, I also have my actual controller that can link onto the other giving me another controller and more switches:D, might end up too complicated anyway:huh: but will THIS be possible. Thanks.

Im in the exat same boat Mip. I think the best thing for none track IR guys is if the mouse "Clicker" stays in the center of the screen and we move the mouse and veiw like that, you would have to move the mouse sometimes anyway for the cockpit controls. Then just have a center screen button and the hat switch controls fore, aft, left, right translation.

I really hope there is a good system for looking around and being able to see all switches etc without Track IR. Maybe like a button can be assigned on the joystick that will toggle a 'look mode' that does a few things: 1) Switches the hat switch from 'looking' up-down-left-right to 'transversing' up-down-left-right. 2) Enables mouse movement for 'looking' up-down-left-right. 3) Mouse wheel for 'zoomng' in-out. That way when you untoggle the mode it re-centers and you can still look around with hat switch.
