iam pritty sure yuill be ok with your MSFFB2, i use my x52 with no problems. as to make FSX look damm real i would recommend REX "real enviroment extreme", ORBIX have some realy cool ground textures. as for aircraft some freeware ar just as good if not better then payware(get aircraft that ar not updates from fs2004 etc, they work just fine but ar prone to be little buggy). freeware i recommend ar F-86E/F Sabre by Section8 the latest F-14 from Dino Cattaneo and his Goshawk T45 which i cant seem to leave alone for payware A2A P-47 razorback, Real Airs spitfire, Flight ones PC-12 pilatus,Aerosofts F16

the red arrows is payware from Skysim, the T45 is freeware and is in my opinion almost better then the Skysim's, its from Dino Cateano awsome model for freeware

yeah i think you can fly the campaigns in game mode(never tryed it i love the sim too much:P). HOTAS= hands on throttel and stick

i have the same problem bro, slider is also playing up throttel is seems to be losing range, the mouse roller on the throttel works when you dont want it to an doesnt work when you need it. an the actual joy stick just seems to be dying very slowly :D i need to make more an more adjustments to be where i want to be, its sticking like hell now also. mines going on for almost 4years of service :joystick: i think the 52 must have an expirey date or something :huh: ive got some good use out of mine though dont get me wrong, but i think iam gunna go else where for a new HOTAS

not sure if its the same as trackir3 but i have the same problem i just delete the trackir files in my lockon file you find them in config file and input... then usualy all is fine

REX 2 doesnt really effect performance, if you configure it right to suit your rig, which is really easy to do, its done on setup, you get 3 main options one for low end pcs another for duo core and another for quad. not to mention you can adjust settings to suit also ie DX10 optimised clouds waves etc.. since i got hold of rex i dont fly FSX without it, i think it be a sin not to :smilewink:

GF Mastiff! I run the nvidia 260 and have the CTD problem. Have you set everything to max? And added mirrors in cockpit? EDIT: What soundcards do you have guys? I experimented a bit with sound settings, think I'm on to something here ;) ® Hi Rusty for your info bro i do have everything set to max mirrors etc except for shadows(all planer),this also includes using nHancer maxed out. my GPU 9800GTX+ For my sound card i have 2 i ve been trying out my soundblaster usb 5.1 but vista doesnt really support it as is i have had some major issues with so ive scrapped it an ive switched on my onboard sound card Realtek HD audio, only issue i have using this card is the loud afterburner sound when spawned. ive not had the time tonight to try out FC with my current settings ie without OC my GPU, i shall let ya know as soon as i get the chance. hey Rusty do you by chance OC anything CPU GPU? i had my GPU core clock slightly OC by around 10% and memory 10%, i reset that to default an all seem to be fine i was on for about just under an hour in sim with no CTD, ill have to do a longer test tomorrow see what happens,, i hope we solve this soon :joystick:iam going bonkers with it

If you can build your own i would say that would be the way to go, in my part of the globe anyhow, ive spent around 500uk sterling on a full rig including 9800gtx+, core duo CPU not exactlly high spec, but it does exactly what i want it to do. Things like monitor an flgiht controls can come later when more dough is about:P. For same kinda rig iam building up too, to buy straight out of the store complete would be almost twice the amount edging up to 1k. about 6yrs ago i did that, i walked into the shop an asked for the high end pc, with all the bells an whistles set me back just over £1100, dont get me wrong it was a good machine an its still chugging along today( despite the few upgrades GPU etc), but £1100 could get ya alot more if you delve deeper:book:
