  3. Hi again. I cannot possibly imagine what could be causing this. Is this only on Batumi ? What about Senaki ? Also can you please check if it's the same for both servers (OB and release ) as at the moment they run the same version of the software ? Cheers

  5. Hi ppl. Three reasons to update this forgotten thread : - Almost one year passed after VR users took a serious hit from the deferred shader. Good checkpoint to see any improvement; especially after Kegety's showed that there is an easy, immediate way. - This thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3869786&postcount=2333. It would be nice to have a before/after comparison. - I will be upgrading my video card so this would be the last meaningful comparison. I have to say that although this looks (is) pretty bad, I have noticed a vast improvement in stutters with the latest nvidia drivers (419.67) latest update (2.5.4.28167) and switching the IRQs to MSI system (just do it, see attached picture).   6. Real life permitting I connect as Flighter. Sometimes I go incognito under a couple of other names. But my free time is very limited. Regarding communication, I monitor this thread with e-mail notifications. If you remember I answered this post of yours some hours later and changed the mission per your request: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3800902&postcount=105 Also, both servers are supervised for connectivity and availability with 3 different systems; they try to keep them available and also notify me of issues. Which btw has not been easy. Still since beginning of February 2017 there has not been a single day without multiple player connections. Cheers !

You really show no character by comments like this, in our server, while playing: And this is after using our Team Speak server, initially without permission for your own server !! Best of luck with it, it's an open free world and the more servers the better. But please, no lame disrespectful comments and no fishing in ours. I would normally contact you in private, like I did before, but I think it's good for people to see the ethos of your tactics. Cheers !
  9. Same for me on MP on the JUST DOGFIGHT server. Crash is random from 1 to 10 minutes into the mission. No crash dumps are created. No Sparrows active or loaded. Last few lines of log : And then CTD. Reproduce by joining "JUST DOGFIGHT b" server and selecting the first AIR-F14 slot. Either dogfight with other players or go for the RED AI. (You can spawn enemy groups in the "Other" radio menu). Cheers
  10. Hi again. You log in to the "stable" release of the game server. The server does not crash, it just looses connectivity with ED's server browser. Needs to be restarted to be listed again. Nothing I can do about that. FYI the red plane you see is flown by the computer (AI) so if you have no others to shoot down you can get some practice. You can also spawn more planes from the in-game menu (press "\" and select "other". Sorry for your trouble, let's hope it all goes away with the next update. Cheers !

Can you please tell me the following : - Are you connecting to the open beta or the stable release ? - What name do you connect with ? - When was the last time that you saw the server crashing (date) ? - How many ppl do you know that have the same issue ? According to the server's logs (stable) the last crash was on the 8th of October 2018. The server seems stable. It's probably your PC that crashes, but with good reason. There is something very wrong since the last 2-3 updates. Maybe you can ask ED, and please, if you find a solution let me know too !!! I have spent a crazy amount of time and resources the past two months, trying to fix something that I didn't break. I believe is the transitional state to the new server system. And I hope they fix it soon. Cheers !
  12. Hi there ! Just to keep it short : - We HATE CHEATING - NEVER AGAIN insinuate that we allow or tolerate it. - The OB server HAD integrity check off because of kegety's VR mod. It is now (unfortunately) on again. - The data export is off because of limitted bandwidth. The main server that has about 1000 Mbps up/down has all data feeds active. - Some players are very good indeed. Some take advantage of DCS's flight model inaccuracies (in the worst cases). - Some players are very good indeed (I will repeat that). I do understand your concern, but we do not have the time or the inclination to play policeman. We want a fun sever with good, smiling players that respect each other. Give me a date of interest and I will upload all your Tacview logs so you can check what was happening. Cheers !!!

  14. Hi Grimes, thanks for the fast answer. I hadn't thought of the way you suggest. I will look into it and see if I can make it programmatically on the "player join" event handler. One more question if you have the time : I have connected my client to the server. On the client I have Lua console (from dcs-witchcraft). Exploring the environment, I find this interesting fuction called "LoGetPilotName". Running it (always on the client through the console interface in my browser) I get my valuable player name (eg "return LoGetPilotName()") gives me "Flighter". So now I create a DoScript command in the mission (on the server ofc) and try to use it but I get the nil error message for the function. Obviously the environment running in DoScript is not the same with the Lua consoles's (or I do not call it through the proper path or I simply do it wrong). Do you know any way to set the correct environment so the client running the DoScript sees the same env as the lua console ? The would solve all my problems. Many thanks again.
  15. Hi guys. I need your valuable help on the following : On a server environment I have some extra commands in the "F10-Other" menu. How do I pass the player's name activating one of my menu-commands to the server ? I have tried every method I could think of, but have fallen short.. I have tried by adding the command either from mission editor (Trigger a "DO SCRIPT" with a "RADIO ITEM ADD" and a global variable) or from server side by executing something like : local myCommand = missionCommands.addCommandForCoalition(coalition.side.BLUE, 'My Test Command', nil, myFunction, 'Hello from flighter' ) The menus appear and the code is run fine, but I cannot pass the player's name. For example I can see 'Hello from flighter' been passed on to myFunction and can display it to all connected with eg trigger.action.outText So, what do I need to replace the |NEEDED CODE| token below to have the player's name passed as a parameter to "myFunction" ? local myCommand = missionCommands.addCommandForCoalition(coalition.side.BLUE, 'My Test Command', nil, myFunction, |NEEDED CODE| ) Any other method or idea is also welcome !   16. Hi ! I can verify that exact behavior too. For now I used LoadMission action to take me to the next (in my case I reload the same one). This seems to work. With the GUI-less sever, it's much much faster than before. I hope it gets fixed soon as I do not know if the score is kept between mission reloads. Cheers !
  17. Hi Snappy ! The IP addresses were correct but not the ports. I have updated them (thanks for spotting the mistake). For convenience here they are : DCS v2.5.xx Release : 94.130.23.93:10309 DCS v2.5.xx OpenBeta : 94.70.240.200:15308 Just for my information, does the server browser not show them for you ? Both servers now run the new system, or to be precise the GUI-less mode of the software. Please note that a few people have reported disconnections from the main server. I have not been able to pin-point the cause. They started a couple of updates ago. Please let me know if you also have this issue and if you have any workaround that works for you. Happy flying ! Change nickname "JDF-Flighter" to your liking eg "Admin" Mine looks like this : --log.write('WebGUI', log.DEBUG, 'Server settings:', s) net.set_name("JDF-Flighter") -- ADD THIS LINE. Change nickname "JDF-Flighter" to your liking eg "Admin" local res = net.start_server(s)Cheers !!
  20. Hi ! I have modified the fuel of the F18 so it is now at 50% (5400lbs). This is only for the 1vs1 and GUNS areas. Possible mistakes aside, the intended capacity for all modules and areas are as per attached table. Also note that this is only on the beta server for now. Will eventually be ported to main. Cheers !
  21. Hi again Modified so tail numbers ending with "L" have AIM9-Ls (eg "108L"). Same for "M". I hope one of the two works. If you want test and let me know which one to keep (or both). Cheers !
  22. Hi Delta ! Your requested payload is active on the Main server, and I will have it soon on the OB too. Let me know any more mods are needed for the A10, as I have barely flown it a couple of times... total stranger to me. Cheers !
  23. Hi Antaskas. I am afraid I do not know what your issue is. The difference with each server is how many different objects are used the quantity of them and various scripting/macros. Something in the mission spoils it for you. Have you got enough system RAM and GPU RAM ? AT the time of your crash, the game pre-loads all objects in memory. Try lowering the "Preload Radius" and the quality of the textures; see if this helps. If you can, attach the log file in case someone spots something there. Hope you join us soon !   24. Hi chappingbrillopad1. No intentional nerfing on the Hornet. But if it makes you tired, here's some things you could do : - Let me know what quantity in what area you would like to have and I may change it. - Burn it up. The afterburner (especially with speed-breaks !!!) will quickly leave you with fumes. - Land and refuel-rearm. - Does fuel dumping exist - work ? IDNK. - Use one of the servers that do not nerf it down ! In all of the above keep a positive attitude. ;) Cheers !
