Oh I see.. It's a real life feature.. Thanks for the clarification Gys :)
-
*sigh* at least 3 more months to go for me :( Oh well :)
-
To Gys & co. : Thanks for the model and for lettings us latter batches to have a taste of the Eagle Pie too.. (us still in FC 1.12 & earlier..) Though i know i might be at risk of problems & issues since this model was optimized for DCS & FC2.0 I wonder what is cause this problem... There's something that blocks the view of the lower HUD That problem was not present in Walmis or the Stock F-15 model.. I used and installed the F-15 FC1.12 version Modman pack..
-
I've got a silly question.. Will this model somehow work in Flaming Cliffs 1.12b? It may sound odd but i'm still stuck with the earlier Flaming Cliffs at least for a month or two waiting for the Boxed version..
-
Great News ~~ Though I have to wait for the Boxed DVD version So i'm only able to start FC2.0 by May or June ...hopefully ^^;

When i was still playing with the A-10, I had to adjust the airspeed in accordance with the trim to fly level.. I think it should be the other way around though.. Perhaps the same could be done in russian aircraft?

Thanks for the update ^^

I may have actually nailed it~ The model i have is based from the F-15J with a mountain painting livery http://www.f-15j.com/archive/detail/838.htm :) 838 was said to be built in 1984 by Mitsubishi Heavy.. or at least that's what the site says. Thanks for the link~ oh btw here it is
-
I see so for example I have a F-15J die cast model at home Its tail numbers read 42-8838 So the particular jet it was modeled from was built in 1994 and that it was the 38th F-15J Eagle for JASDF am i correct?
-
So this must mean, the good ole AIM-7 is expected to become much lethal too? I basically don't care about Flanker or pretty much any other plane in game.. (dropped the A-10 already.. just waiting for the C-Hog..) I just want my Eagle missiles to hit the "Omni-sensing" AI and stop my AIM-120 from flying like a drunk and zigzagging crazily across the air... and yeah, the AIM-9 is like a XXXL sized "Kwitis" too.. oh my, why am i rehashing an issue we all knew millions of moons ago~ :pilotfly: I don't fly Online that much anyway.. i'm not for it. :) My connection might be slow too and inconsistent at times..
-
Coolness of those Eagles yet again~ Samurai of the Skies ^^ @Topol-M: I'm curious about the JASDF aircraft numbers. If i'm correct, the USAF has year of aircraft manufacturing date on their vertical stabilizers stenciled/written on the tail e.g. AF84 115 = 84 -> aircraft was made in 1984 So how do the JASDF planes go? e.g. 82-8965.. What does that mean? aircraft was made in 1982? 1989?

I thought ATD-X was a demonstrator similar to the Su-47? btw Thanks for sharing those shots again ^^ Someone's got to make those skins for both upcoming F-15 models in Lock On~ -- Japan P-X report

@sawamura: I am the joy of my stick Composite metal is my body, and hydraulic oil is my blood I have launched over a thousand missiles Unknown to server hosts Nor known to other players Have withstood Gs to evade many weapons Yet, those hands will never fly anything So as I broadcast, Unlimited SPAMRAAM works!

LOMAC detox plan in preparation for FC2.0
pauldy replied to coolts's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Nothing really for me.. Though i haven't found myself flying in LOMAC that much these days.. What's the point of mastering 1.12 when in few months time, the Flight models, Missile & weapons behavior, AI, etc etc will change... oh well, the important thing is to fly when i want or should i say play when i want :) Anyways the wait continues for me while i do other things besides Lock On. -
Flaming Cliffs 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance Flaming Cliffs 2.0 A certain aviation simulation The Disappearance of Flaming Cliffs 2.0 ...

Awesome shots there yet again Topol-M ^^ Love that Blue "Mountain" aggressor Eagle~
-
Flaming Cliffs 2.0: Overpowering the Porky Eagle Flaming Cliffs 2.0: Bane of the Flanker Pilots Flaming Cliffs 2.0: Death Ray Missiles Flaming Cliffs 2.0: Never gonna satisfy everyone *sarcasm* ....yah, yah, enough of those instigating titles, that was a joke~ OK?? ;) Frankly the baseline title works for me so.. Flaming Cliffs 2.0, FC2.0 or just FC2.. :)
-
@Maximus G: I'll take note of that. Although by the time we get a new rig (not happening anytime soon) it could be bundled with a more powerful GPU. So I assume that Flaming Cliffs 2.0 and the future DCS sims will use similar weather engine to 1.12 Lock On we have now.. That aside, are we going to have cirrus clouds or other form of water vapor decorations in the sky?
-
Impossible for me.. just plain impossible............ Unless this rig gets busted, I'm pretty much stuck with it as it is...... also I've got to consider all other stuff like FC2.0 itself, a new joystick and other important things especially when i'm on a very tight and low budget. I guess i'm really stuck with VFR....... Thanks for the suggestion though.

@Ace: You mean the Bobocop Cloud mod? Tried it, had it installed and almost no difference. Still the same slideshow.. +1 increase in fps is insignificant when your average fps rarely goes above 10.. I guess i need to stay away from overcast cloud conditions for now.... and maybe do the same in FC 2.0 for that matter..
-
@Maximus G: Here's a track. Though i think it will go with your PCs specs not mine. Some screenshots from the track too.. On average my fps above the cloud tops rarely goes above 10.. And the higher i am from the cloud tops, the worst the fps will be.. Also, the fps drops as i look down on the cloud cover and increase as i look straight ahead, into the horizon and above. below the cloud cover, it's a bit different. The fps i have is better, around 14-15 fps. Although it's the same when i look at the clouds. The fps decreases as i stare up the cloud cover. So all in all, this deters me from having a cloud density of 9-10 because it would make the mission go into slide show mode..

Some interesting nose art of F-15Js in the 90s and early 2000s The artist's archives http://www.rose-ridge.com/NOSE%20ART%20WORKS.htm and website http://www.rose-ridge.com/

I currently don't have Black Shark, but if i read correctly.. FC 2.0 will have somewhat similar graphics engine to DCS. So maybe's this might be a two pronged question. How would the FC 2.0 overcast clouds go? Back in the original Lock On and the current Flaming Cliffs, the overcast cloud cover is a nightmare since it brings most computers to a crawl... including mine. So pretty much i'm stuck with "VFR" conditions all the time.. I hope somehow it was addressed or changed because i miss doing missions in cloudy or foul weather.
