I've not spotted this reported elsewhere, so apologies if it's known issue. With strakes and a Litening Pod fitted, the centerline pylon is absent and the pod hangs in mid-air. It seems to be present in all other cases.

Hello, this video demonstrates the ELINT facility quite well, though I'm yet to get that far into flying this jet. What is good here is that Bloodnok had written a program to plot the radar sites and types using the file that is generated when you switch the radar to BER after landing. It would be nice to get hold of that program :D

Having spent some considerable time standing on, in and lying under Harriers while they are operating, I must respectfully disagree. If that engine was running, the guy with the hose would be on the way to a really bad headache.
-
Yeah, quite. Tie-down run, and comp-wash. Standard.
-
This is a compressor wash going on here. The Pegasus sucks in a lot of salt. The engine is dry-cranked, and a cleaning solution is hosed into the intake to wash the gunge out of it.

My old GR7 Squadron used to train for anti-shipping raids. I believe their weapon of choice was the CRV7 rocket, and possibly 1000lb bombs. Thinking about it now, it would seem like an act of lunacy to attack a warship, with a Harrier, carrying rockets. Those boys seemed pretty sanguine about the whole affair though. :music_whistling:

Same, same. +11

Ok, thank you for the correction. I note that the readout on the stores page does not directly match the input on the ACP. For example, I entered 130 on the ACP, and the stores page reads 130 feet - there is no x10 multiplier there. Also, why then did my setting of 07/02/130 drop all 14 bombs, rather than the 7 you might expect? Thank you all for the replies.

Hello, has the weapon release interval functionality been implemented yet? I've not flown her in an while, and I just tried to drop a stick of 14 Snakeyes, in pairs, with 130ft interval. So, 007/02/130 on the ACP. It seemed that they all came off together still. Am I being a doofus? Thank you. (Also, I nailed my first carrier landing! Woot! :pilotfly: )

I've had great success self lasing and hitting the target. Trying to use a Reaper as a JTAC though, and the missile just misses every time. It looks like the Reaper is lasing the ground as it rotates around the target, rather than the actual tank. Do it yourself, and you get a prize every time.

Mavericks still not working. Not selectable via Stores page.
Zadren replied to Rhinozherous's topic in Resolved Bugs
Having a 'weapons fail' caption on the stores page here. With A2G mode on, and Mavs selected, I'm not getting the 'RDY' status and I can't uncage the missile. That is cold start, refuel and re-arm from the groundcrew menu. In airstart with the same loadout, the missile will uncage and fire. -
Loving the update on the Leaping Heap, and great to see progress overall. Can someone wiser than me, please give me a precis on how one uses the course line in the EHSD, which seems to be working now? I understand that it's used to approach a waypoint from a desired direction, but I'm not sure how to utilise it for that. With the EHSD set as North-up, the line set vertical the course readout in the bottom-right of the MPCD doesn't read 0 or 180, it's off by quite a way. I could do with a steer (ahem... :D) Cheers.

DCS: SA342 Gazelle Complete English Cockpit Mod
Zadren replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hello, I'm having a bit of grief with this. It seems that the textures are missing from the download, for the 342M, and 342Mistral folders...unless I am doing something stupid. At 30 seconds in to the installation vid, where you check the numbers of files in the Liveries folder, I have 45 items in the 342L folder, but only 2 in the M model, and 1 file for the Mistral. Consequently, after installation, I had missing textures for those two models. :( Any help out there please? Update: I disabled my antivirus, and downloaded the zip file again, the files are still missing from the M and Mistral folders. -
Yes, that's how I would normally run it - before 2.5. It works right up until you assign a directory (thus populating the config file). As soon as you tell it where DCS is installed, it crashes, and stays crashed. :(

Hello, I'm having some problems with kneeboard builder. It's the first time I tried to use it since I moved to 2.5 Beta. I crashes at launch constantly. I did an uninstall, and an install of the latest version, and it loaded ok until I told it where the DCS directories were; at which point I get the 'Kneeboard Builder has stopped working' message again. Can anyone give me a steer please? :helpsmilie: Thank you
-
I don't believe that is in the Harrier's box of tricks. It certainly isn't modelled. :music_whistling:

I'm having the exact same problem. If I select the F5, it loads the cockpit and menus, but as soon as I try and run the sim, everything freezes and I'm doing a hard reset. :helpsmilie: Edit: reinstalling the module didn't help at all :(
-
Having the exact same proble. DCS hangs when trying to launch an F5 from the mission editor too. Repair has not helped :helpsmilie:
-
Yeah, it's just me being ham-fisted and trying to turn right angles :)
-
Thank you for the explanation. On a similar vein, is it fair to say that if you want to do a level turn, with G applied, then you must have rolled through 90 degrees? Pulling the stick back in any shallower angle always results in a climbing turn, which isn't necessarily desired.
-
Thank's, this works great. I've just given it a run-through, and was able to ripple-fire 4 Maverick Gs into a tank park from 10000 feet, all with the TPOD
-
Could you define 'loaded roll' and IMN please? Not applying G in the turn, or don't pull until your roll is complete? Or am I way off?
-
I've just watched this vid twice, and I can't see what step he actually took, in order to stop the TGP from switching off.

Turn your INS switch to IFA. It's in front of the control column. ☺

That is a fine question..... :music_whistling:
