This issue was driving me crazy, but it never occurred to me that a custom cockpit that I had installed to read the gauges better would affect the radar screen and was the culprit. Thanks for the suggestion and now back to the game.

I was playing around with some of the ideas to export the radar and RWR to a second screen, but after trying it several times, I gave up. However, when I now fly in the game, the radar screen is a checkerboard green/black pattern. I deleted the F4 module, repaired the game, restarted and reloaded the F4 and the radar screen is still the same. I have done this 3 times and still no joy. What the heck did I do and how do I get my radar screen back? I have attached a picture of the cockpit

I even added the Kneeboard Builder and the moving map and had no issues.

Flappie and Rudel I have reconstructed most of my saved games folder for DCS and left about 1/2 of the old files behind as are either no longer used or could have been the issue. So far everything is working fine and the KB is nice and working. I may never find the cause of the problem, but at least the computer, the game and me are all happy. JUST A DAY OF MY LIFE WASTED.

Rudel I already use OVGME and that might help to speed up the process Flappie I will report back when I find the culprit and kill him. I think I may know the problem. Since I use two monitors for Helios, I found a mod that correctly placed the kb in the upper left of monitor 1. Maybe that just screwed everything up. I disabled the mod with OVGME but apparently more was needed. When I continue to use OVGME, I guess I now have to direct changes from saved games\DCS.openbeta to saved games\DCS. Correct?

Flappie Well Step 2 worked fine (after I had to recall my user name and password). Now what do I do? I run a lot of mods and things. So now what do i do? start putting things from my old saved games into the new saved games folder one folder at a time until I find the problem file? For example, I have a number of liveries that change Russian cockpit labels to English, etc. I also run Helios in the scripts folder. I notice that the old DCS.openbeta folder is now just DCS. Is that correct? I think yes because of the now combined regular and open beta. Thanks for your help.

When I try to open the KB, the game freezes and no KB opens. I was just wondering if it was a game issue or just me?

I notice the list of planes on the red side includes the SU-25. Does that exclude or include the SU-25T?

Bergison After not being able to run MM for months, I took your advice and deleted my existing version, re-downloaded a new clean version and installed it on a different drive. It now works. Enough to cause you to drink.

In the windows version, it shows no data than after about 1 minute, the black screen disappears and nothing happens. In the android version , the black screen it shows no data, but does not disappear like in Window.

User error. Will I never learn?

In the startup training mission, when the instructor begins the lesson, the landing gear lever goes up and the beeping begins and the plane looses its wheels. It seems that if you lower the gear right away, then everything is ok

Yes, the map is on the same computer as DCS, 3rd screen. Sorry, but I do not understand using 127.0.0.1 from another computer/device. I do have the map also installed on an android device that I paid for in the google playstore that gives me a totally different IP number as it is setup for wireless whereas the computer uses direct cable. Should I use the 127 number on the android device?

I am using Win11 and the latest versions of DCS and your moving map. I insert the IP address in the special menu and then start DCS. However, your black screen disappears and nothing shows up when I start a mission. I know I have the right IP address as I have checked it several times. I am using 3 screens with the map on the 3rd screen. Any thoughts?

I have managed to import the F4E profile and associated lua file and to my shock, it worked. The True Air Speed button seems to be correct and corresponds with the game. However, I tried to find the true air speed listing in the ID lookup and could not find it. I tried to use it as a model to try to get the radar altitude and while I found several device IDs for the radar altitude, I could not find anything that deals with the actual attitude. What am I doing wrong?

In the taxi training mission, I have rudder pedals and I had to invert them for the pedals to fully depress. When I did so according to the instructions and pressed the space bar, nothing happened. I also set a button for the pedals and pressed it and still nothing happened. Very frustrating.

I had a similar problem with my F5 and had to stop using it for awhile. About a month ago I tried it again and it just started to work again. I did nothing in between to make it work although I did update to win11.

I know that I had an issue when I moved DCS from one drive to another. But after several months, it just started working again. As the old saying goes, "don't f__K with mother nature." So as long as it is working, for whatever reason, I am happy.

I do not have the MB-339. I have the rest.

I have most authorized planes and as far as I know, I do not have any user mod planes. I guess I am just lucky.

My copy is still working in Win11. I have no idea why that is.
