  1. Also the one time I did manage a flight with a landing I did a refuel and when I went to restart. I pumped the prime pump but the needle on the gauge never moved, I pulled the start and the engine did start anyway.
  2. I need to reset the cockpit view system to default. I messed it up. Is there a file to delete or a key command? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134871&page=4
  3. Check This View I was messing with the view system, I have no clue how I got this view but it happened while holding the RAlt and pushing numpad keys. Now that I have this view I find that I can hold down RCtrl + RShift and push the numpad key 8 to slew up, 2 for down, 4 for left and 6 for right. I can see all the gauges under the flaregun. I use a track ir 3 pro so I can still pan around. 2 points, I do not know how to get out of this view:noexpression: but at least there is a way using views to see all the gauges.:D Looking around.trk
  4. from the expert http://acepilots.com/usaaf_anderson.html In the fall of 1944, the 357th combat-tested the new G-suits that had been developed for pilots, as Bud Anderson recounts. "The Mustangs could take very hard turns. Long before the wings flew off, the pilots would lose consciousness. Five G's and you might "gray out" but be able to function. Six G's or so and you would black out completely. The form-fitting suits inflated as the airplane pulled G's, hugging you, and preventing the blood from leaving your head all at once. There were two experimental suits. One was water-filled, and turned out to be too cold at six miles up, even when filled with warm water on the ground. The other ones, air suits, drew air from the pressure side of the engine's vacuum pump. These suits wrapped around your abdomen, thighs, and calves, and inflated automatically. These worked much better." So then the question is late in the war did the Germans have "G" suits, if they did the airplane had to be able to take more than 6g without breaking the wings. In another place on the web they say it was rated at 8 to 8.33 g for structure failure. These are not experts though. https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110417142055AA4GuL6
  5. need to do something cause if things are not set right they just blow up! I have no idea what caused it... Setting Flaps Explosion.trk
  6. I worked on heavy lift helicopters for 16+ years, as a flying mech as much as they would allow me. My hearing is so poor from sitting under 3 jet engines and a loud whining main gearbox even while always using proper hearing protection, to me the engine sounds wonderful after I crank up the speakers or headsets loud enough to hear it. For me (I don't want to start a war here) this is a airplane simulator that also simulates some of the internal systems. It is not an engine simulator. With that in mind I think there is a great balance here so far for it being in Beta. Thanks ED.
  7. Thanks for finding this, it was messing me up too.
  8. I am using an old version of trackir and am unable to look around things, I only have X and Y axis and I use zoom in/out on my stick. So I am also unable to see the gauge to set the 12:30 before start.
  9. There I was, fresh out of training, my first alert...One second I'm on the runway and the next I am rolling backwards...

    DCS F-35?

F35 Status? Does anyone know of the status of this project. It appears they never got close to the monetary goal.
  11. R/L 80's Carrier Aviation I did a search for Sealegs and did not find anything so here is a link to video of jets landing on carriers and discussion of physiology involved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7kgVlaVFb4
  12. hey DarkCrow, thanks for the laugh... I'm ROFL...You should write a book
  13. Thank You Very much.
  14. I have been launching all kinds of missiles at an F-18 I set up as enemy and I never have the view changed. I wonder if you possibly have 2 keys mapped to one control.
  15. Hi, I am enjoying just flying around in the new FM for the 27, it feels fun... Does anyone know what is the best corner speed in this current flight model? I may try straying into some air combat but I have a lot to learn first. It sure aint like flying no helicopter:doh: Thanks for the crucial info ahead of time.
  16. hey Yo-Yo please tell Erich thanks from one veteran to another...
  17. I got 2 password resets in my email. I never tried to reset my password. Is someone trying to hack the accounts?
  18. I can tell you in real life when i was a Fly 3 PO working the Flight Deck of CV67 We had a heavy hit the 3 wire and break it loose from the port side turnbuckle...it injured and killed a few people real quick. The cables are set for a specific weight IRL and if you hit them out of spec with a known mass moving much faster than planned it will be disaster in the end.
  19. I have found if I need to dive great distances in the KA50 By lowering the rotor rpm I can fly at substantially faster speed loosing thousands of feet very quickly without ripping the rotors off.
  20. GTX 770 2gig, previously had a TI 590 2gig
  21. yes, you are sooo right. I remember typing in basic from a magazine into a TRS-80 for hours, then debugging my typing and finally getting to see just the guages on a black screen, it had the Alt, VSI, Airspeed, Artifical Horizon and a couple others with no graphics of any kind, it was IFR and you had to use imagination to think you were landing or taking off.
  22. My idea of a fun mission with heli's is have no SAMs in the mission.:D
  23. Thought I would get a little nostalgic and load up EECH, that community has done great things considering what they had to begin with and I still love the dynamic campaign and all the chatter going on so you can tell what is happening and where it is happening. But it really shows how far ED has come with helicopter flight model and flight dynamics. I find it incredible how far sims have come since that time. I started back in 1980, wow have the developers come along way...
  24. thanks Sarge, I have never paid much attention to the Su-25, I primarily enjoy the Helicopters of the sim, but with the reduced ability to survive around SAMs in heli's I am venturing into the fixed wing side to try to learn something about SEAD, so far all I have learned is it is real easy to die if you don't know where the SAM is and you don't see the launch. Thanks for the input.
  25. I guess it cannot carry the old AGM45, I thought it would but I can find no reference to the A10 carrying any anti radiation weapon. So now we need F4G's more than ever hopefully carrying AGM 45's or better:music_whistling:
