Vertical landing Difficulties NAAAaaaa...

How about Using the FM radio. Say to put in 31.75 and home in on it? I am sooo lost with the radios.:huh:

Update, Ok I figured a way to save it back to a miz file and I made all the red clients MI-8's, the verbage in the messages still talks about Hueys, I have found it is impossible for me to get the radios to work in the MI-8 so the downed pilot can be located. Even with the helps I have found in the forums, when I get the switches set right I do not know which radio to use for FM nor how to set it so this mission is unplayable at this time for me. Perhaps you will have more luck. I did put the line 86 change in. Hi, This waaay over my ability and training but I am trying. I opened the miz archive using 7zip. Inside the folder I found the lua file and opened it in Notepad ++ went to line 86 and made the change exactly like you said. Now how do I zip it back to a working miz file? Since we imported this bird to the USA how about giving us some English stickers to put on the names of cockpit switches...I am blind in one eye and cannot see Russian out of the other...:noexpression:

I do not believe the MI-8 is the problem, it is something in the 126 patch going over top of old stuff on my machine that caused the problem. I had low FPS on everything. As soon as I reinstalled all of the problem was gone before I even put MI-8 back on. When I did put it back on it does get a lower FPS than the other ACFT by about 25-30fps but everything is working good. I think the patch is the culprit.:music_whistling:

WOW Once I got my FPS straightened out this thing is Great to fly, it has the requisite feel of having a lot more mass than the Huey. very cool indeed. I wonder if this bird has collective coupling like the US machines use...when you lift the collective tail rotor authority is automatically increase to compensate for the increased torque :book: Yea...back to flying, later y'all :beer:

FPS Fixed I uninstalled World, I also removed the old World folder (Just in case) It had Mod and acft folders left after the uninstall. Rebooted... I installed World with DirectX and other stuff just like it was a first install. I did not change any of the old joystick config files I left all that alone. I ran the 25T with nothing but world installed and my FPS is in the 80 to 90 range. Then I installed the MI-8 and it is running in the 50 to 60 fps range. Try the repair first then the reinstall if needed it worked for me. All the Keycodes are still in the registry so it is very easy to reinstall after you get the files togather:thumbup::D:D:D

Yep I got smacked with low FPS I am reinstalling. It looks like a few people are having problems.

I did the update and got the MI 8. My FPS went from the 40's down to 12 with the Huey and I am at 10 with the MI-8:cry: I am going to reinstall from scratch and see if that helps

msalama, I have the same system as you with the exception of a GTX 560Ti 2gig video and no SSD and I have such a frame rate hit with the MI8 it is barely flyable and not any fun. By the way what is the key to bring up the FPS ? Thanks TurboHog, I am getting 10 FPS. I never checked on the Huey or KA50 cause I never had a reason to. But when I just checked the Huey I am only getting 12 FPS-on the ground with nothing running, SOOOOo I guess it is time to do a clean install !

I like coming down while in a left hand turn and I can get into VRS very easily while in the turn let the speed drop to zero and then try to pull it out with collective, I'll crash every time.:cry:

Yep, out of ground effect is very difficult because there is no seat of the pants feel. We either need a hover position symbol on a HUD like BS has or some other form of reference. Try hovering next to a tall pole, tower or object it is much easier.

it would be easy to find out... Go to the local airport where they give helicopter flight instruction, explain to the instructor you want to PAY for a ride but you want him to let you try to lift off and hover. They will be glad to oblige for the price of a lesson.:joystick:

that sounds like the preflight check used on H53's back when we landed at Beriut at the airport to drop supplys and soon after we landed the mortars would start ranging on our position. It was lite the fires and who cares about the tires:D

get on a Multiplay server and just follow somebody who knows where he is going. lol

Is the Sonic Boom programmed into FC3 like it was in FC2 or did it get lost when they brought it to World? I ask because I remember one time I was flying the shark online and someguy come by in a F15 and scared the ...out of me...it was awesome!

WOW this mission is awesome, been playing it SP mode and it is great fun. Now if we could have some P51's acting like Sandy's and strafing some targets that would add to it:smilewink:
