  1. If I click on Training SA-342 is in the modules list. If I click on Missions it is no where in the list. If I click on Campaign it is not in Modules list on left. If I create a mission I can fly it from there. Is anyone else not seeing it in the Modules list on the left?
  2. I am wondering what role this is suited too:wassat:. I know the small helo in the Gulf war was used for recon because they did 60/60...60 feet high at 60 knots and were very difficult for the enemy to detect. I'm going to pick this up just for the fun of flying it and supporting the DCS community:yes:, but was just wondering.
  3. I think there was a song written about controlling this little bird... [ame] [/ame] Must be why the girls like the french guys so much, they got that soft touch...lol
  4. I'm running a GF770 2gig video and have no problem. How hot is your video card or other things getting? You say it begins to lag after a while in-game. This sounds like things are getting hot and slowing down. I also have a 3.4ghz cpu and only 12 gig of ram to your 16. I think you are probably on the right track with the GPU. It might just be to old and failing. Do a search for some software that will let you watch GPU temp as you are using the game. Hope this helps
  5. A6 Tanker anyone? Yep it would be a blast to fly the ole A6 in tanker configuration and do multiplayer refueling of F14's right after they launched in full burner and needed fuel for the mission.
  6. Very Very good for a first video effort. I really enjoyed it. I think you have a future in marketing for some company making videos to show their product in a manner which makes a person wish to purchase it!
  7. your best bet is from chuck... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-uSpZROuEd3WnVhcm5hTUJOTjg/view
  8. What do you think, should I just wait until they get things sorted a little better? I have tried to update using the updater and also using the command line so I don't know what to do next. Do I uninstall alpha 2.x and reinstall from scratch? Thanks for checking it out for me, it appears I am not the only one and alot of development is in progress so maybe I should just wait and play 1.5.2 in the mean time! UPDATE: I tried to update and it worked...The M-2000C is now visible, selectable and working. Thanks!! Feel free to close this thread and the one in Bugs, sorry for the double post.
  9. I am referencing this thread... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=159931 My M-2000C works perfect in DCS 1.5.2 . It installs in Alpha 2.0 but does not appear and I cannot select it in the list of Aircraft modules that are installed.:surrender: I asked the team in the DCS Alpha 2.0 bug forum and they moved the problem here to Razbam forums. Thanks
  10. Hi, You are in luck. let me introduce you to Chuck! This is by far the most comprehensive guide you will find for the DCS M-2000C http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=157056 Good Reading:book:
  11. Attached Logs I noticed a lot of errors in the DCS log something about VFS can't mount... I have never messed with any of those, it's new to me. Thanks for the help. autoupdate_log.zip dcs.zip Free Flight nellis.zip
  12. SkateZilla, In the Mission editor it meets all the requirements. The problem is after the mission is saved and I go to the ACFT selection screen the M2000C is not listed. All the other modules are in the list and selectable but the M2000c is not there, even when I tried the command line update it still does not show in the list so I can not select it to fly it in Alpha 2.0
  13. Thanks I will give a try tomorrow, I have to go to work tonight... Well I went ahead and did it, it all went smooth but it still does not show the 2000c in the list when i open missions. I think I am going to uninstall Alpha 2 and wait until they are done with it, or else just use the other acft module I have that are working. When command line does not get the job done in Windows it is time to stop for me. Thanks for the help anyway.
  14. I installed everything. it works, all the helicopters, FC3 and other ACFT are there and fly. The module manager shows that M2000c is installed but when I go to missions and try to find the Plane in the left column it is missing. More Info: I did a Repair. The 2000c still does not show. I uninstalled the module and reinstalled the module using the Manager, it show everything good but the 2000C still does not show. I went into the Mission creator, I can see and assign the M2000C, save the mission but when I go back to the list to select it to fly what I created, it is not in the list to select. In DCS World Open Beta , the plane is there and works fine as my other Modules do. The problem is only in 2.0 Open Alpha.

  16. Well when you guys start learning to land on the boat with the PFM i will be flying plane guard with the MI-8 off the Starboard side so I can fish you out of the pond. LoL
  17. The Harrier will be a welcomed escort for the Huey when I am flying to perform a rescue:D

    M2000 vs Mig-21

In this video here it looks like the F-16 cannot stay out of the M2000 sights. It looks like some of it is under 200 knots witch would be death to a F16 since I guess it's corner speed is 400+. [ame] [/ame]
  19. Yes But... It has been established that the preferred profile for this acft is 20k feet for dogfight and self defense. So it does not make sense that this plane would be down in the weeds dropping bombs where it is most vulnerable to attack from defending fighters.:music_whistling: Unless it has a Fighter escort of say F16's or Harriers or something like that. But then i would think in that scenario the M2000C would be high cover for eith the F16 or Harrier because they are better mud movers. I'm going back in my closet now, I have confused myself...:surrender:
  20. Thanks for the info, I'll stay above 20k from now on. I have been getting killed down low ...now I know why.
  21. Thanks Chuck you saved my Bacon, this is exactly what i needed. You should have a paypal account so we could show you a token of our appreciation!

    Warthog Profile?

Does any one have a Warthog profile they will share for this plane. I tried setting up some keys but wind up lost and then forget which thing to press when...and using the mouse to change modes and things in the heat of combat is a sure way to die:helpsmilie: Update: Well right after I posted this I see Chuck has come through again, his guide will probably give me the info I need!
  23. I have noticed all the mistakes I am making trying to learn the M2000C and it reminded me of Grandpa Petibone from my active duty days and sure enough he is still around at this web site. http://www.history.navy.mil/research/histories/naval-aviation-history/naval-aviation-news/grampaw-pettibone-collection/history.html Enjoy the laughs, some stuff is funny:smilewink:
  24. Mano, You do raise a point I had not thought of...The programmers who are programming the flight model I would guess would know all the parameters of the flight envelope that "they have programmed" even though the flight model would be perhaps completely different than the real life aircraft, I wonder if the could give extremely accurate performance charts for what they have actually programmed the M2000C to do in the DCS world! These charts would then be very valuable for us who are trying to master this plane!
  25. I believe it has Slats instead of flaps and they are by default in Auto and will deploy to increase wing area at the appropriate speed. I can tell you it is real hard to get stopped if you land with too much fuel. I landed with 3 external tanks that I had not burned the fuel out of and it was very difficult to get slowed down even using airbrakes because my landing speed was high due to the weight.
