I believe it has Slats instead of flaps and they are by default in Auto and will deploy to increase wing area at the appropriate speed. I can tell you it is real hard to get stopped if you land with too much fuel. I landed with 3 external tanks that I had not burned the fuel out of and it was very difficult to get slowed down even using airbrakes because my landing speed was high due to the weight.

i am surprised they did not extrapolate info from the good ole F102 Delta Dart and make it work. http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/Visit/MuseumExhibits/FactSheets/Display/tabid/509/Article/198057/convair-f-102a-delta-dagger.aspx I am sure using BMS's info is probably much closer to reality given the span of time between the two delta wing acft. Fact is for me is flys better than a rock and not quite as agile as a bird...it is fine I will never know the difference in real life. I do enjoy the fact that it flies different than all the other aircraft in DCS.

Thanks Razbam To be frank, small graphical details like that do not even get my attention. I fill in the missing part and just continue on. We all know when a crash happens in water a lot more damage would be appear. The developer has done an outstanding job so far of building a study sim aircraft inside a simulation environment. It is even now in it's unfinished state great fun to fly and play with. I know loaded off the runway is not a bug, the problem is I did not have balloon tires like the cubs use for dirt strip work in Alaska. lol:lol: If there was a bug I would think it might be that the nose gear did not collapse under the pressure of full burner. If you don't own it yet you should buy it. They have a real winner here...it just needs a little more time in the oven before it's done:thumbup:

I went off the runway and sunk my nose wheel, was so stuck even in full burner it would not move. The other picture is after I crashed in the water, suddenly my plane appeared in this parking spot with a Hummer. The detail of the airframe parts is cool.

JB Weld or Liquid Steel, have water handy so you can wet your fingers and spread it nice and smooth, when it dries it will never break again.

Gault05 congrats, Unless you are a genius, start reading the manual, then fly a little, then do the training, then fly a little, then watch the youtube videos training and repeat until you remember all of it. I have had the module since first release and i am still amazed at the depth of the weapons systems and how proficient some guys are at using it on youtube! You'll have years of fun thats for sure!

I wish we could have a helicopter with air refueling capabilities and a C130 to refuel from or any tanker that could fly slow enough for a helo to keep up with.

I would like to fly with you guys but on the Aggressor side in the Migs, SU or the F15. It would be a total learning experience for me as I am primarily a Helo pilot loving the SAR side of things. But after i got shot down a hundred times helping someone else hone their skills hopefully I would learn a few things too. Soo, does anyone else want to fly as an aggressor?:gun_smilie:

Thanks for the info, i think i will buy this module anyway cause it is cool and will provide hours of fun flying around getting shot down for what in reality is pennies. I do wish DCS would implement some weapon for wild weasel even if it was not used in reality just for the fun of it. Either that or give us a F-16 which does have anti sam capability.

please forgive the noob dumb question but what will this ACFT use to attack , like SA-** SAM sites? Will it carry a standoff missile or will we toss bombing against SA13? Thanks

Give me a P47 After watching one of many flicks on the Thunderbolt I want one. Unlike the P51 the P47 can take the punches and keep dishing it out... -
Can I watch? Will we be able to fly in and watch the airshow, I would like to park my heli on the grass and watch from the external view:D

HSI, yellow arrow move alone by night, bug ?

maybe the guys went home to get sleep and turned off the NDB -
Unlike the MI-8 which is in the era of CH-3 acft the CH-53 and the 53E model have loads of power for getting out of difficult situations, it would change alot of the dynamics of rescue and bringing support troops to the fight. I hope they put it in the DCS someday.

Spent 6 years at Norfolk on USS JFK, Then in HM-14, HM-12, HM-16 and HM-15. I remember the Dogs and Sailors keep off the grass. I have no desire to ever step foot in Virginia again. LoL Have fun at the air show though!:smilewink:

Hey Chuck, You make the greatest guides:beer:...are you going to make one for the KA-50 or any fixed wings? Just wondering...

As a 20 year Heli mech I congratulate you on an outstanding job. Bravo Zulu !

Some opinion about maneuverability of Bf109K-4
tusler replied to gomwolf's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
Considering this is being run on a home PC for less than $40 for the program and airplane, how fantastic is it that we have a simulation so accurate that people are "straining at a nat" over the miniscule differences between real aircraft and our simulated version. Wow! -
The good guys trying to get back home at the end of the day... http://www.warbirdinformationexchange.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=50950%3E%20&t=50950

try this video...I can hear him already...darn we don't have enough fuel to...we have to land here...:megalol: i was an LSE for a while in the US NAVY and I use to strap myself to the deck with a tiedown chain when I brought H53's down in these type conditions. https://www.youtube.com/embed/bC2XIGMI2kM
