  1. You can't afford a KA50 you say but you would like to try the coaxial rotor system...well... it's your lucky day. http://www.flixxy.com/worlds-smallest-one-man-helicopter.htm just hope the blades don't crash like in the sim:music_whistling:
  2. Thanks for the quick reply's.
  3. Ok thanks, so do I uninstall everything, then install DCS World and reinstall through it or do I just install DCS World and it picks up eveything?
  4. I have separate installs of DCS BS1, BS2 and the A10. I also have FC2 Platinum edition. Do i have to install this DCS world or can I continue to purchase and update programs individually. Thanks:huh:
  5. I have all the A2A products, they are fantastic procedural sims but due to the limitations of FSX, DCS has them beat hands down when it comes to flight dynamics, and a few other things :) IMHO Oh and I also have all DCS products, I love quality so when they build it I will buy it :D
  6. I hope they come out with a 109 or a FW190 to fight. Some B17s run by AI to protect would be fun.:music_whistling:
  7. If you are familiar with motorcycles at all. The collective brake works on the same principle as the manual throttle friction lock.
  8. Look on You tube there is much training... and many many more...
  9. Well, cancel that. I just tried to duplicate what happened yesterday and I could not do it. Every thing worked exactly as it would be expected to respond to the switches. If it happens again I'll be sure to save a track file. The Mechanic put a "could not duplicate" on the VIDs form.:D
  10. I'll make a track later today and post it. thanks for the reply!
  11. Hi, I was playing with my upgraded BS2 yesterday and after I completed a mission I was shutting down...for fun.:) I started the APU, dropped the throttles to idle, put the fuel shutoffs in the OFF position and then I went over to the other side and flipped the governor switches to the OFF (down) position. The engines rpm and the rotor rpm began to increase and was continuing to run with the fuel turned off... What is up with that? So i had to put the governor back on to slow it down. I am not understanding how this system works. I know...put on the rotor brake and it stops all but was wondering how is the eng's getting fuel with fuel off. Thanks
  12. Cool way to loose altitude.:) I guess I have been doing it wrong , I drop both throttles on the lower left out of auto which immediately slows the rotor to idle. At the same time I drop the throttles I nose the bird over to a steep dive. I have found I can go real fast down steep mountainsides this way without rotor clash or picking up to much rotor speed.:pilotfly:
  13. Did the manual get updated? What sections have new information?:noexpression: I need to print those so my manual is correct, I enjoy reading new stuff:book: Thanks:thumbup:
  14. While those guys are looking at the radar return of the blades, I wonder if the Vikhr would give them a good return aswell?:spam_laser:
  15. Where is the download :smilewink: I want a kindle copy for my Eee Tablet
  16. Thanks for the input! The first thing I did when I installed Win7 and put track ir on it was reset all the Hotkeys using the Shift + F7, Shift +F9, and Shift + F12. I am using Track IR 3 pro and it works. I have a much bigger problem unfortunately. When I installed some keyboard testing software it quickly became apparent that F8 is not working at all. First I tried a different keyboard, 2 other's and each had the same result. I tried using restore to a month ago but it did not fix the problem. I did a google search and found there is an issue in some cases with Win7 64 bit and Function keys not working. I tried the hot fix from microsoft but that did not work either. I disconnected the Track IR and uninstalled the software and that did not help. It is something to do with patches Microsoft has put out. So my advice is if you have... MSI P67A-GD55 Mainboard with 16gig of DDR3 ram and a TI-560 2gig video do not update from microsoft or it may stop working correctly. I knew Vista has some update problems but this is the first time I have run into Win7 with update problems. Good thing I only work 3 days a week so I can get back up in the air quicker!
  17. Great video! But it sucks that it will not work right on my system no matter what I do. I thought it might be my KVM switch so I hooked straight into the PC with Keyboard and Mouse and F8 will not work at all. Does anyone know where the F8 key is assigned to open the ground menu? Is it in a editable file some where? I notice when I hit the F8 key to open ground menu my view jumps. I have Track IR and I have centering assigned to Shift + F12 F8 is not assigned to anything that I know of, but something is not right and reinstalling will not fix it.:helpsmilie: Oh if it matters I am using Win 7 64bit Thanks UPDATE, I have found the problem! it is Win7. For some reason it is not letting the F8 key work. Guess I'll have to reload it and see if that fixes it.
  18. Thanks, I will check it out when I get back from work.
  19. I am trying this on Freeflight-Blacksea-Ramp Start.miz
  20. No joy, I unchecked easy comms. I turn the knob to INT I leave the INT and HM buttons out. (I have also tried with them in) On the HOTAS I click mic to the right Menu comes up. I press F8 and nothing happens. I press the other keys using F11 to back out each time to make sure my keyboard is working. I checked the control listing to make sure F8 is not assigned to anything it should not be. I have no Idea what to do next.:noexpression: I uninstalled, deleted all the folders, reinstalled and setup the warthog hotas from scratch and still have the same problem. contact grnd.trk
  21. Wow, I have Easy Comms on I am trying to fly the simple Ramp Start. I put the big knob to INT. I press the INT button I bring up the comm list with "\" Even tried pressing the HM button. I press F8 to contact ground for fuel and nothing happens. I turn on battery pwr- press F8 nothing I start the APU Press F8 nothing How are we suppose to contact ground for fuel? It was easier back in the Beta days:huh:
  22. I can tell you I hate those bomblets when I am playing Steel Beast Pro PE!
  23. WOW, I paid $60
  24. Well all I can tell you is I have no idea how my account got stolen. I have scanned my system with Spy-bot S&D and with an updated edition of Malwarebytes as well as an online and offline antivirus scanner and my system shows clean. I have not answered any emails from steam in my account I use for steam. I like others "in the steam forums" (Source) received no message about anything other than my primary steam account has been changed. I did not answer the email but went to steam and tried to log on and sure enough it will not let me log on or change my setting. The user ID I was using is completely gone. I then went directly to steam and put in a trouble ticket about my account being stolen. I have reviewed the primary email account and changed the password just in case, but I found nothing wrong with the email. It is a web mail account and not on my system. Like I say I don't use steam a lot and I only use it for single player and games that require it. I recently bought Duke Nukem Forever and it requires steam so that is why I wanted to access my account. Like I wrote earlier, There appears to be quite a few others on the steam forums that have had the same exact thing happen to them. My steam log-on and password was specific to only steam as was the webmail email address I was using. As to who is responsible...If a hospital "requires" you to give them personal information. The hospital is required to protect that information from going public by law. If you doubt that check the recent history of the Veterans hospital when one of their laptops was stolen and peoples personal information was in jeopardy of being used illegally, the VA was responsible for the security of the information given to them. In any case I am glad my copy of A10c is not a steam copy. I am done with steam until they find a more secure way of doing business. Thanks for all you guys input, you have given me much to consider and I thank you for that. Happy flying!:)
  25. It is steams fault because they were hacked and not only my account was stolen but many peoples accounts. I did not fall for any phishing-mail scheme, and my computer has not been "hacked", I do not have viruses or trojans on my system. I have been in computers way to long for that. I do not link to other services or mess with multiplayer on steam. The only time I have ever used steam is when the game I buy in the store requires the use of steam. I play only in single player mode with my steam games. And It has been 1 day now going on day 2 and I have not heard from Steam support and I can not access steam or my games I have on there. Like any Web business providing a service to the public where credentials are involved. The company is responsible to provide security for your credentials. Stem is responsible. That is why I do not recommend this service to any one.
