  2. It appears hitting numpad enter before getting into the cockpit restores defaults for initial view)
  3. It`s not working for me. Zoom does not get stored that way. It`s the fov value i guess. And it does not saves this way for some reason
  4. There are tutorials about setting up and tweaking camera properties such as position, rotation and zoom and it works from snap view 1 to 9. But how to edit initial camera properties. When you occupy the plane and appear in the cockpit? This initial cockpit view is out of this 1 to 9 snapviews list. Thanks!
  5. Or to play on both modded and clean servers that made their missions so that Eagles fly there with 9X already on they pylons when they spawn.
  6. Missile is already tested on Eagle long time ago. Works flawlessly. It`s a matter of adding Aim-9X missile to drop down list in ME. 5 minutes work

  8. That is so insignificant amount of effort to even consider it getting in the way of any other developers activities.
  9. So they did put slammers on Eagle despite all this "simulation" thing. There is nothing stopping them to give Eagle 9X) Those Eagles were upgraded with 120 after all one might say. At the end phase of the first Iraq invasion. One squadron got first batch of 120B. Ok let`s give it 9X than too. Those who`d oppose it have no ground in disputing this. If we are really all about simulation than let`s simulate lol. Otherwise all those "pure" arguments are pointless)

  11. This would be perfect solution. Modability in general is a key to having fun by introducing variety into gameplay . Even if sertain munition is ment for given airframe but different version of it than it often appears withought pylon just hanging in the air onder the wing. Same happens if the mission creators want to add extra missiles/bombs/rockets or pods on the hardpoints that wasn`t ment to carry them for that particular version of a module. As another example of this is the JF-17 block 1/2 essembly we have in DCS. If you add SD-10 on inner pylons like Block 3 has - by modifying entry file. than it functions fine and the pylon itself is there for it. But when you save the mission file, and upload it on the server than clean clients have those missiles functioning but hanging in the air with those pylons gone. Tomcat is another example. Hornet too. Mirage etc. With each one of them suffering from this limitation in one of described ways. The list goes on. There is no reason for DCS player that buys few different modules and wants to try something outside of the "prescription" for this particular version of the jet/ helo not to have that ability. I for example got 7 modules and will get more as they will come. Had this approach to module`s armament been implemented it would only reinforce insentive to by those modules for those still on the fence coz of vanilla loadouts and weapon configurations of those modules.
  12. For many of players there is a lot of stuff to be desired regardless of the module they use. Red or Blue fixed or rotary wing. For example many guys i know wanted to play F-16 cold war era scenario and we put 2 Aim-7 on the Viper just to find out that it won`t be usable. You can add it on the F-16 but you can`t shoot it. There appears to be hard coded list of missiles somewhere in the scripts that Viper can employ. I get it if there was an official flyable F-16A module. But there isn`t and most probably won`t be for several years to come. So why to make hardcoded limit of Viper`s missiles or make it that way so it couldn`t interface with anything but predefined types of missiles. This is just one example and there are many more cases like that. Isn`t modability one of the fun factors that increase module`s popularity? Would be cool to know that the modability factor would be taken into account when module gets created and/or updated as a general approach.

  14. Would be so cool to have official mods for J-11B or J-15 with avionics from JF-17 as their MFDs and UFC share a lot of similarity visually Did some photo bashing to get the rough picture Man would that mod be cool)

There`s new mod that came out recently try it: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3318397/ Allso if you want to fly Flankers with PL12 online there`s server that equips your vanilla flankers with pl-12 automatically. No need for mods. Server called - Exercise Red Flag. There`s constant airquake between buffed Red and Blue jets. If you`re into that kind of stuff that is)
  16. @BIGNEWY Good day to you sir. Could you ask team for server installation dialog give options to users which maps to download at first install and which to install/remove upon autoupdater launches upon existing installation? Or perhaps they know the way to do that via command line? Thanks!
  17. Install is impossible in a first place due to large size (caused by all those extra maps that are never to be used in my case) causing lack of sdd space to complete initial installation .
  18. DCS auto updater brings all the maps with it and it does not fit anymore on 120gb ssd. Most of the install size is dead weight due to the maps that will not be used. Why there is no option in the installation menu to select some maps and exclude others? Perhaps there is the way to exclude the maps via command line? Thanks!
  19. Thanks for the hint. My situation though is that i want to prevent dcs autoupdater to install the maps in the first place in order for it to fit to my ssd . its a 120 gb ssd and when i wanted to install server it started to download and unpack all the maps and gave me the message that i dont have anough space to finish install. i tried to go into installation directory and manually delete the maps during installation process. and when installation finished i started the server. And it began downloading all deleted maps again untill i ran out of ssd space. That`s the problem i have and i can`t find any way to make it not to install unwanted maps.
  20. @VanderWonder how to forbid dedicated server updater from loading all junk maps i`ll never use and force it to load only those maps that i want. Is there any way to do this via command line or otherwise? Thanks!
