  1. There`s a Datalink skin you can upgrade your Flanker with. It`s not much but still a little improvement for SA. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ru/files/3317685/
  2. That`s a Su-27SKM cockpit you have there) https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3ds-max-fighter-cockpit-cabin/560986
  3. We can have it as a mod. To fly in SP or even on IC protected MP servers) Guy sells this model for 550$ on turbosquid. is there a crowdfounding platdorm we could use to get this? I`m willing to give my 50$ it would take couple of dozens of contributors to aqcuire the model and then to support the modder that could animate the most important parts of the cockpit. MFDs, HUD and the Stick for starters.
  4. @FlappieBug is abservable right from the beginning of the msission when AWACS messages me about bandits but they do not appear on datalink way too long after refresh time. i`m aware aof AWACS turning issues. This one happens when it is Not turning but flying straight`,)
  5. Is there F-16A mod for DCS 2.7 or it is only for 2.5?
  6. Bug that i`m talking about has nothing to do with terrain. And i couldn`t find any previous bug reports considering this particular bug. ED says that thay ARE fixing FC3 bugs. Are you responsible for this bug fix? Coz it`s sounded like you are the person in position to make such statements.
  7. Evidence provided in this thread is more than sufficient to disproof any argument for current ridiculous impact effect. A true magic trick ) I mean i love magic tricks but when i know i`m watchig magic show) I`ll rest my case knowing i gave my fare share of effort to show that to anybody who will ever come across this issue. Not coz of some bystanders whos "filler" type comments are void of any substance or rational) I allways have fun reading those. This thread was adressed to members of ED team that have something to do with this miracle) Proofs are shown, ways of possible fixes suggested. If there`s a will there`s a way some say) I leave this thread sending you this wonderful post card from Georgia) Cheers!
  8. If you wach the track file you`ll see that there are no issues with terrain interference in my report. In fact AWACS and all the contacts are placed that way so that terrain would not be a factor at all in this particular example. There are two dozens of fighter jets in the sky. Visually it appears that there is some kind of deliberate randomization taking place on the datalink screen that contradicts AWACS readings and feedback that it messages to allied flights. Is there any disagreement about this issue? Hope we`re on the same page with this one. Thanks.
  9. I couldn`t agree more on that one. Nobody is asking to develop complex colliders fo the trees) But to say that current "disassembly" is WAY more severe that it should be doesnt even begin to describe it) Disassembly(partial that is) is one thing - complete evaporation is another thing) You have a collision model - conical or square collider for the whole tree, shape does not matter that much. And say you keep collider as it is if none of the above suggestions about collider editing are axeptable. Here`s another solution - There is event triggered every time when this collider is touched. What the block of code is doing in triggered function? By changing contents of this triggered function you can deal lesser damage to a plane. Say you explode (for example R-60or any other small missile) with vertical offset from the origin point of the tree. That trigered function then could instead of destroing impacted game object completely just deal some damage to it. And by changing this one function you acheive desired effect every time it is called by any tree collider that is hit by the plane. Something crearly has to be done about this issue coz the way it is right now damage amount delt to the plane is ridiculous. Instant fireball from a spruce broomstick is a bit of a stretch to put it mildly)))
  10. Read the whole thread before trowing your pearls) There are few ways described to do that without having to increase cpu overhead ) Stay on topic man. You are slipping away)
  11. @Barra1What on earth are you so sarcastically blathering about?))) . Do Caucasus spruce trees have foot thick fat tips? No) i`m only accenting on this aspect because BIGNEWY said But the thing is that the size(thikness) iz ENORMOUS!) They are looking at the top of this telephone pole disquised as spruce tree top) And basing their disagreement on a horrible 3d model that is nothing like spruce tree top. By the looks of this thick log it is a Venetian wooden pillar lol) Of cource Venetian pillar would mess up the plane. But its a Caucasian spruce with soft flexible top couple of inches thick. And they have not used spruce tips as pillars in Venetia) I personally didn`t care about the 3d model of the spruce tree(or any other tree in DCS for that matter) untill it was used as an argument against well grounded and prooven points of few users in this thread. ED guys your spruce tree 3d model top section can not be referred to. It is 10 times thinner irl than on those screenshots)
  12. What are you talking about? Whatever your your stance is on the subject just voice it. If you actually have anything to say that is.
  13. We don`t) But often we trimm them accidenally. And this abomination of 3d model of Caucasian spruce tree can not be seriously considered as a basis for an argument about thickness of a top of a spruce trunk))) I mean comon guys tip/top of a spuce tree foot thick? You can`t be serious)))
  14. @BIGNEWYWhile you are still here sir would you check this track for reported bugs. Wonder if you`d agree with its validity) Thanks!
  15. The fact that spruce tree 3d model on Caucasus map looks like telephone pole doesn`t make it one) Hope this info will get through eventually. And i`d really like to see that spruce tree that those on the screenshots are modelled after) Must be one of a kind spruce tree, as usually their tops are couple/one inch thick couple of last meters rather than couple/one feet thick) Unless they are from early Pleistocene period ',) Thanks!)
  16. Btw picture to get rough idea about steel cables that those jet planes cut in half and landed after that)
  17. @BIGNEWYi hope its taken into account that this is not a telephone pole made of reinforced concrete. it`s a top if the tree with great deal of flexibility to it that would break/bend underneath wing or fuselage, damage the body, would result bent aelerons, nasty jolt or kill the engine(s) but would not result this death portal in an instant) i mean from this to this?) really?)
  18. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2Ki22ApxHA http://1998 Cavalese cable car crash Couple cases with steel cables Surething. Just had to make sure you saw that Datalink track for yourself.
  19. Sir in real life jets cutting down 1,4 inch thick steel cables like it`s nothing and land after that) I think i`d survive it) One thing is for sure i woouldn`t turn instanlly into vapor cloud as if S-300 hit me) Btw is there any word about Flanker Dataling bugs that i reported? Track is provided in that one. Thanks! P.S if you want i`ll hit those trees at higher speeds. No sweat)
  20. Here you go TreeTipTopHitEvaporation.trk Complete and instant transformation from speeding titanium and aluminum alloys frame to a fireball) Not even something like gun or a missile hit but total annihilation)
