  1. In an interview with Rock paper shotgun yesterday ( https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2018/01/12/the-flare-path-hows-it-going-2/ ). Wags has said this quote: "By the end of January, DCS World 2.5 will be released and the F/A-18C Hornet will be released into Early Access by the end of March 2018." As said in their FB page that a release by late spring is a buffer incase all goes wrong for the rest of the development stage however it now appears that march is a more realistic release date however do bear in mind that this is still not set in stone as development throws a curve ball every now and then. 2. Apologies, I thought you meant on the Hornet control stick as it's in the topoc. I believe it's still a 3 way switch on the FA-18C. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  3. It's a 3 way switch. forwards, backwards and down. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  4. Wags has confirmed that the LEX vapour is still WiP and that they're working on the overwing vapour. Eventually building up to the shock cone! Exciting stuff Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  5. Hopefully some good vapour development shots! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  6. Thank you for the information, very interesting. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  7. What are these case I, II + III things that they're speaking of? I can't find anything on them. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  8. She's back up to full price! Expect an Imminent release Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  9. It will be released in the coming weeks as said in the message to the community they wrote yesterday. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  10. I presumed as much, many thanks for the clarification Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks, one thing that I found interesting was that Razbam i.e. Zeus said that the cannot and will not comment on the release as it's down to ED, the Razbam announced it and ED then did so a week a few days later, odd I thought but maybe ED didn't want it to overshadow the Yak and let Razbam announce it, rightfully so as they put the work in. 12. Here you go. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  13. the latest cinematic trailer and ED have confirmed the 29th as the release date. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  14. FOD isn't just about a dust cloud, the amount of air that the intake is sucking in makes it a very expensive hoover, a loose stone can easily be sucked up into the engine, dust isn't an issue but stones, other organic and man made matter is a hazard. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  15. Amazing Suntsag!! The harrier can use a small 400m dedicated strip to takeoff from such as this example in Norfolk, UK. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  16. The harrier has less loiter time than the A10 I believe however it's a faster aircraft and because of this it can get to Troops in contact a lot faster than the A10 but at the cost of fuel. However you put a tanker a short flight away and you can easily as with any jet stay on station longer. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  17. Hello, I've trawled the forums for what block of 9X missile we're getting in-game, a lot of threads are in Russian and I can't see any others that specify what block we'll get. Can anyone shed some light on this topic? Tia Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  18. I also believe that the LEX vapour is still WIP and will be fine tuned to how it looks IRL Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  19. Another shot of what the LEX vapour will look like on the hornet! All we need now is some over wing.
  20. It's good that they've passed it on, they've also said that it won't drag down frames either so it's fantastic news all around! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  21. Yes, it's a fantastic book and an interesting view in the war! Hopefully it'll be modelled well then. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  22. Should be, for IR missile acquisition it's actually very hard for an aircraft to get a lock on the nozzles as they're hidden by the wings if attacking from above IRL so hopefully it'll be modelled. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  23. Hello all, A little part of me is extremely curious as to whether vapour would be modelled more completely in future updates. Obviously we have wingtip vortices but I was wondering how difficult and how plausible it’d be to model wing vapour clouds when pulling High-G turns.(see attachment) I look forward to peoples opinions and thoughts as it’d be pretty cool to have this modelled. 24. Fusing laser codes etc are set by the ground crew and then checked by the crew on receipt of the aircraft before flight. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  25. It's all dependant on the amount of information available. A lot of aircraft that are in use to this day have a lot of classified information and so that specific info won't be available to complete and round out the simulation model. Hence why the Tonka and typhoon etc aren't being made because of classified info. Maybe later down the line. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
