  1. Rudder is very good for crosswinds to straighten an aircraft out before touchdown. On a dual engined aircraft it's not a massive issue as they can use the engines to help them yaw. On a single engine it'd be a larger problem but can be worked around, you'll have to use a bit of roll. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  2. That sounds sensible, they're a bit pushed as they've hit a block but Q3 ends in October so they have a while to scrub it up, I believe they're slaving away on the textures as well as the radio's etc. As ever they work hard and it all takes time! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  3. Sunstag, that looks cracking! I'm all for it personally, it'll be engaging and a good learning curve! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Haha all you can do is hope! I hope it will be true but we'll have to wait and see! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  5. Hopefully so, the latest from Razbam: 'The next one will be for real' then the poker face and the last picture was probably a penultimate tease, the image posted was a final tease and they've been quiet now for longer than normal so hopefully in the next dcs newsletter we'll get a pre release notice. 6. There would normally be a standard weapons loadout that they would carry but if needs be they can modify the weapons loadout depending on the type of mission if it requires a type of weapon not normally carried i.e gbu 31 or GBU15 Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  7. Edit: GBU31s and 38s for stationary gun emplacements/bunkers too. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  8. Personally for me I use the GBU31s and 38s for hitting targets such as buildings/infantry where the targets aren't likely to move rapidly. The GBU-12s for vehicles that require a precision strike with a reasonably sized munition I.e tanks. The AGMs are also great for vehicles even on the move. Guns for infantry strafes and light to medium armoured targets. Hope this helps on some of it. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  9. The current teases/updates from Razbam have been every 1-3 days. All being well I'd say maybe a week tops before we hear something regarding release. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  10. Yep, no more teasing. The next one will be the real deal! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  11. Calendar year, all games when referring to quarters is in relation to the calendar year. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  12. Haha it's going to be really refreshing for the game and I can't wait to try out viffing and taking off! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  13. I think we'll be seeing the harrier very soon as Razbam are now regularly teasing us with shots like this etc, Q3 ends in September and prowler said they're on time so I'd expect it this month or next. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  14. Edit: the section I was referring to is mode 4, in the UK it's called Crypto and is loaded before a flight and very few people know what the code is, the next day the code is useless so a new one is made Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  15. There is normally a secure code, quite long that's changed daily and so if interrogated you'll show as friendly if another aircraft has the same code loaded as it'll cross refer it to the one it has loaded and so can determine friend from foe. I believe that's how real life IFF works on combat aircraft Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  16. The A-10 has self defence capability but it's not designed as an air to air dogfighter, it's a gun with wings and engines added as an afterthought. So I'd recommend getting flaming cliffs if you wish to dogfight. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  17. Now that Sir, was extremely impressive!! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  18. Ah that's an issue [emoji14] The home button is a solid option, it doesn't get used for much. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  19. I'm also guessing that a lot of its systems are still highly classified? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  20. In the A-10C Rwin + Home is auto sequence start.
  21. Would it be at all possible for the Devs to create the ejection similar to real life for most seats? I.e. The seat stays attached till below 10,000ft before it separates from the pilot so if you eject at 30,000ft you stay with the seat and the cute doesn't deploy till below 10k? Just a thought to add to the realism, any viability?
  22. The systems on the Apache are so complex it'd take aeons to make it! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. I have it on the A-10C in 2.1, the displays are whited out massively with deferred shading on. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  24. To answer the prep question, just rear of the police light switch in that area on the actual side of the cockpit wall (near throttle) you may have to hover around or if you have trackir dip under and that's the A2A refuel switch to prep the jet to take on fuel Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  25. Brilliant, thank you guys! I need a throttle that has a few hat switches Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
