  1. I see no reason why there can be any problem with allowing people to get one... or two. The only pain for now is time. We're falling a bit behind the schedule but at least you know why it happens: we only want to deliver nothing less than a perfect grip, and we're sure we will do it.
:smilewink:
  3. Chitty chitty side by side with Bang bang * Here are the WH and MCG side by side for size comparison. :joystick: Please note: both grips are not meant to be shown to public as samples. They are only shown here for size comparison purpose and do not represent these joysticks as commodity. The WH one is pretty old and beaten, obviously taken some sadistic abuse; the MCG is a pre-pre-pre-serial prototype. What you buy is not going to look this way. However, it is worth noticing that the WH's thumb hat is missing, and this is how we're getting to the bang bang part. This grip survived a fall down from the desk; OK, the hull still looks OK but what about the hat? Full metal hull is not a panacea.
  4. That I can't clarify. We don't have Virpil's grips at hand to compare. One thing to say though. MCG was designed by original documentation, not "inspired by" publicly available pictures. It went through some minimal adaptations to usage with flight simulators, but apart from that it is as close to original as possible. I believe there is no need t worry about its size.
  5. AIN'T SHE SWEET OK people :) It's a dreams-come-true day ;) Nope, they're not ready to be shipped out yet, but look at how more precise and accurate the seams became (well well OK, these are rendered pics... but we did improve the molds, really). And hey, some liked them Cyr? Here you go. More is coming: I heard some were not happy about base being a 'compulsory' buy? Give me some attention please (ahem): once MCG hits the market, base will be optional. In simple words, you want a grip, no base - here is a grip, no base. You want a base, no grip - here is a base, no grip. You want two bases, one grip - here you go. Stay tuned :music_whistling:
  6. HAVE MERCY! UIV is just back having spent something like 38 hours without shower leave alone bed. I'm not in charge of the shop, and keep myself out of sales part of business, so I'm a wrong guy to ask when pre-ordering starts, but take my word, we are as tired of waiting as you are.
  7. Thanks for the nice words; the stick will be introduced to all markets at the same time, may be a day or two difference due to logistics, as shipping to the US takes shorter than to EU - ask those guys in Brussels, why. :protest:
  8. UIV landed in Hong Kong and right off the plane said his word Hi, so here it is: There will be an option at checkout! You will be able to buy the grip with or without prints to your taste. Sorry though, no Cyrillics - for the reason I explained earlier. Keep keeping fingers cross for UIV; he landed OK but still needs to ferry to the mainland, and the waters are slightly choppy these days (see - embedded link does not work).
  9. I'm keeping quiet but I'm reading each and every reply with great attention. What I can say right away is that Cyrillic prints are impractical from the point of aftersales (and we do have to consider this, too). Like, not every user is going to know anything about Cyr alphabet, and only a tiny minority would have Cyrs on their computer keyboards. Writing to tech support will be an ordeal for these people: how can they explain which button is assigned to which function? I'll see about whether it is possible to like make half a batch with prints and half without. Don't put too much hope on this, but I will find it out. Pls stay tuned and continue voting.
  10. Guys I'm a bit surprised that so many (so far) voiced up their wish for a "clean" design, without print. Personally, I'm with you. However my word is not the final (yours probably is, if we have more voters). So please continue, let's get more people speak out.
  11. While UIV is on plane back to China and doesn't see, I can confess to you that I'd go without writing, too (if I as a buyer had an option). However, if we want the stick to be a copy, then a copy it should be, and if the originals have these prints, the copy should have them, too. - This is not the final decision right now, but looks like it is likely to be this way. Unless the users vote against it, of course.
  12. MCG - prints; comments/suggestions anyone? This is just a routine check-up and announcement that should cheer you up while waiting for the MCG release. At least, so we hope :) We found the way to have a talk with the original grip engineers about the text prints on grips supplied with export versions of Su and MiG planes. Here are the pictures of exactly the prints they have on originals. What you see will with high probability go in production, however if there is anything you guys feel like sticking out or not really belonging, this is the time to raise questions or suggest alterations. We're all ears.
  13. Gladiator Pro availability in North America We're sorry for temporary interruption. Gladiator Pro joysticks will be available for ordering in September.
  14. I briefly replied here. Tell me if that helped or not.
  15. Not the best decision. Registering takes no time and asks for no cash but makes things a lot easier and faster. Now, to the point: 1 - NO - it is not possible to turn a regular joystick around. 2 - YES - you can order a customized joystick for no additional cost. If you're interested in (2), pls PM me at VKB forums, not here, and I will put you in touch with the guys in charge of this sort of special orders. BR, AeroGator
  16. We should begin with all around assessment of the device. Please for convenience browse up to the VKB forum, and create a topic in Tech Support section. There, please describe the problem (copying this post there will do), and attach a few vkbdev-cfg screenshots. These screenshots should be: Physical axes settings Logical axes settings Global-Common Also, test the device in vkbjoytester, and attach screenshots of the tests. Try both axes: first, the one in question, then another one. Simply deflect the stick all the way to the left, and let go. Take a screenshot of the curve. Then do the same deflecting the stick back and letting it go. Also, let us know your setup: cams and springs used, which grip you use, and whether or not you use an extension. We will chew through that, and be back to you.
  17. The shop is not properly set up yet, as we're busy with other priorities - such as, for example, the MCG. For the time being, the shop is more or less a placeholder (or a seatwarmer). After the shop is set up, you will see the difference. (However yes, those mail carriers are insane, here I have to agree).
  18. Don't use Button Wizard. It only serves to maintain compatibility with old firmware versions.
