  1. VKB is preparing its own pretty advanced and streamlined mounting solution. Sure enough, it is not going to be marketed tomorrow, but the drawings are more or less done. So if you're in a hurry, I am not trying to tie up your hands. Otherwise, the desk mounting system will appear somewhere in 2018.
  2. We'had been once taught a lesson when we shared a picture of something we were planning to make, and some other biznis made full use of it. So we did our homework, and only publish pictures when we're half way though preparation to launch. Sorry. No pics for now.
  3. We're going to focus on it right after we launch the MCG (and have a good drink, and wake up a few days later). So no comment at the moment, but life is going on, and things are coming when they're due to come! :joystick: PS - thanks for being with us; nothing we appreciate more.
  4. Correct. It is going to be named an Extended CK for a reason...
  5. Technically yes, but in fact no. We both know, but it helps to repeat it sometimes for those who don't: TM bases have serious limitations compared to GF bases. If you mount an MCG Pro on TM base it will have its functions seriously curtailed. There is no panacea to extend the abilities of TM base by the means of mounting a no-matter-how-advanced grip on it. Formula 1 wheels will not make a three-wheeler go faster. So, even if you use the ECK to mount the MCG Pro onto TM base, you will never enjoy full functionality of MCG Pro because of the base innate limitations. The 5-position hat the guy you mentioned wanted to have will never be possible, period. Then, why bother? and why pay for an ECK (which, by the way, is not going to be too cheap)? If you have a TM set, and you're not planning to retire it, BUY AN MCG TM. If/when you decide to buy a VKB base, you will also be able to use your MCG TM with a VKB base by turning it into an MCG Pro. If you already have an MCG Pro on a VKB base and then you somehow get a TM base, and you want to use your MCG Pro on the TM base, then yes you will be able to connect these two together. BUT that would mean seriously DOWNgrading the MCG Pro, and cutting off a hefty number of its functions. Simply because they are not supported by the TM base. Once again, The grip has no power to expand the functionality of the base. The base has power to curtail the functionality of the grip. THE BOTTLENECK IS THE BASE NOT THE GRIP
  6. We're preparing something that at this stage goes under provisional name Extended Compatibility Kit which will allow pretty easy switching between TM versions and VKB versions. MCG TM will also be able to magically turn into an MCG Pro. NOTE!!! - we're talking about compatibility, not upgrade. It will NOT allow turning a regular MCG into an MCG Pro.
  7. Statement that is to be outdated soon. :music_whistling:
  8. It'd be suicidal for a business to really discriminate customers like that... however I do take your point. We do what we can, but the import regulations in the EU are so much different from those in the US... logistics takes nearly twice as long... taxation... etc., etc. We drop ship to the US most of the time, which is simply impossible as such in the EU. I do agree about the websites' calling for streamlining. Will put it up before people who deal with this sort of issues. Maybe all they need is the last straw ;)
  9. A pretty arguable statement given the fact we are happily selling tons in EU. Leaving alone supporting European customers, who support wise are in no way any different from any others.
  10. It is not tomorrow that F14 comes anywhere near. So you will have plenty of time to enjoy the MCG :)
  11. EXCUSE ME?! MCG TM is going to be natively compatible with Warthog TM. Natively means exactly what it means; no adapters, no anything else. Just pop it on, and take off.
  12. The adjustable damper allows you to tune up the stick to your liking, with or without soft center, plus you can choose the degree of this softness. Cams can be replaced easily - well, you still need to undo a few screws, but at least you don't need a sledgehammer to take the cam off, and a hydraulic press to put another one on. It takes a couple of minutes. Our base works with different sticks, and our sticks can sit on different bases (adapter may be needed in some cases though).
  13. Nov.1, or very near date. Yes, still correct. They all have pinky button. Welcome! Hope you enjoy flying with it at least half as much as we enjoyed designing it.
  14. Nothing is more motivating than such messages :) Seriously.
  15. 1 - TM grip + VKB extension What you CAN NOT do is use our extension between TM grip and TM base, with or without adapter - this is simply no go. What you CAN do is use our extension between: a - TM grip and our base (adapter needed) b - our grip and our base 2 - WH vs MCG We're probably wrong people to ask but as long as you did so, I can only say, MCG is way beyond WH in too many ways to list. Same, by the way, goes about the base. But of course I am biased ;) so please get a second opinion from some other guys.
  16. VKB was the first to introduce contactless sensors to the gaming world back in 2003. We were also the first and so far the only ones to use dampers in our joysticks. As we never bothered to patent this solution, we're now waiting with curiosity to see who is going to be the first to use it after us and claim it is their own invention. I'm not implying any particular business... or am I? :pirate:
  17. Yeah it is strange indeed - the obstacles presented by Eurobureaucracy only become obvious when you bump into them, and then you suddenly find yourself wondering how really strange it is that the shipment to Europe takes twice as long (and longer!) to reach Europe than that to US, and also costs a lot more at the same time*. Plus outrageous taxation. Plus EU member countries' customs practices which are simply shocking: you would not believe things like these happen in Europe in 21st century - maybe in 1970s in the Soviet Empire, but no, no, not here, not now. But it does happen here and now. Saying this I'm not meaning that we're ideal, or our European partners are perfect. We might really need to think about looking for more outlets in places like Middle East and Africa. Alternative dealerships in Europe? - talk to us, if you are ready to lend a hand. We're open to everything that would help us keep our customers happy. ______ * yes it does cost considerably more, but the pre-tax price is the same as that in the US; isn't this strange?
  18. I second Sokol1. Something to add to make it a bit more clear: A. You would be better off buying the dedicated MCG TM edition. Then you would be able to fit it onto TM base and enjoy full WH functionality (no pun intended). Later when you feel you're up to getting VKB's base, you should write to us before placing your order and remind of your case. Then for a mere 10 extra bucks we will send you an extra fixture with which you will replace the TM-style puck. Next, you reposition the jumper inside the handle, and voila, you're now having a fully functional VKB MCG stick. --- Plus you still keep the puck and are able to switch back to using your stick on TM base. B. I intentionally said nothing about MCG PRO that you mentioned; I did it for 2 reasons. 1 - Functionality of MCG PRO by far surpasses that of the TM base. So buying a PRO grip and using it on TM base is, errr... in simple words, you will never be able to use its full potential. 2 - So I suggest you go with a MCG TM first. Then, when you decide time's coming for a VKB base, you - may I repeat - write to us and remind us of your situation. We will offer you a magic PCB for a very, very reasonable fee. Inserting this PCB into your MCG grip will magically turn it into a MCG Pro. --- Which, same as above, will leave you an opportunity to remove this PCB, replace the fixture, fix it onto, and fly with a TM base... should you still want to.
  19. First, there is NO "NEW MODEL" - A and B versions are identical, technically and functionally, with a single difference: the contact group has been switched, what was on the top went to the bottom, and vice versa. We did it mainly to streamline the assembling process. Hence "upgrade" is a wrong word; these two versions are on the same horizontal level. Talking support, both versions will be supported for the same period of time. Talking compatibility issues, it is simple: if you have A version GF, you go ahead with A versions of whatever other devices; if you have B - go with B. A and B versions of whatever new goods we are going to produce will be made in proportional numbers. To be precise, the number of the users who managed to bend/break the pins was slightly lower than 0.8% of the total, which speaks good of them :) We would perhaps not rush to make a new version merely out of fear that more people would apply brutal force to make the coupling click while it was not aligned to click, but here came this little technological improvement, and the two reasons combined made us go ahead. So, presuming you're wondering which MCG you should get: IF you already have a GF, your choice should be MCG A; IF you are going to get a GF, you should stay with MCG B. IF you are going to buy an MCG set, then you don't have to bother about this A or B thing altogether. Once again, the only difference between A and B is the juxtaposition of the parts of the contact group.
  20. Should be. We're not ousting but adding to the range.
  21. Every business hopes to sell out whatever they make asap :) so do we. But no worries here, once the MCGs start rolling out, we will keep dealerships stocked up. That's one of the reasons behind all our announcements and feedback collecting. We more or less see how many we need for the first impact, and how many we need to produce on monthly/quarterly basis. So there may be interruptions, like a week or two, due to logistics - but no lasting shortages.
  22. You might have to wait till next month, but not to be pushed further back. We're in full forward mode and hope to make the final checkup before China's national day (10.1.) which as it usually does will paralyze all biznis activities in the country for a week. Once we're done with the final checkup, the grips will start rolling out. So, yes - next month is a sad fact of life, but no - further pushes back are extremely unlikely.
  23. Pro here means a different thing :) As in pre-production version :) I was talking about the creation of the pre-production version of the throttle control unit. Which is of course a huge and very important landmark, but not yet anything ready to be marketed. It is when we physically start fumbling the device in our hands, collecting tactile experiences and impressions, repositioning the buttons to suit guys with different hands, and readjusting the dimensions of the device. Following these readjustments we will move the boards inside the device up and down, or sideways, or split some boards in two, or merge two in one, etc., we will start working on the internal elegance of the device, i.e. how the inner parts are accessible for maintenance, or whether there are some loops of cables sticking out and hanging loose - there are thousands of things to work on still. It can still take a few months between a pre-pro and actually serial sample of the device. :joystick: Talking pro vs non-pro in our "usual" meaning of this word, I believe "pro" is nor the most appropriate neither the most semantically correct definition: if you've grown to the level of understanding the need for proper throttle control, you've deserved this title regardless whether this word appears on the device's label or not.
  24. We've been working on throttle controls for quite some time. Recently the final touches to the MCG are stealing us away from it, otherwise we would push the throttle ahead. We planned to see the pre-pro version late this year; OK now it might be some time early next year. Please note, this i s the PRE-PRO we're talking about, and I'm not giving firm promises. But it is coming, and it is high on our list. Sorry this is all I can tell now.
  25. A change - no, a chance - neither... I do appreciate your willing to give us some business, and we do value your loyalty and trust. We would like to make things easier for you but - the payment systems are configured (not by us!) so that if within a certain time from payment there is no confirmation of order being concluded (delivered, etc.) - not only the system will draw the funds back, but it will also fine the vendor. Who needs this pain. So we're sorry for this inconvenience but it is totally out of our control, and will remain so. Please bear. We're on the way. Don't burn out please :)
