Hi guys just beenlooking around for some tweaks for the dedicated server I have found a couple Like how to set your server host name! and to dis able the hotpluging to iliminate the Stuttes that some people get.. [u][b]autoexec.cfg[/b][/u] no_device_hotplug = true --disable hot plugging detection [u][b]dedicatedServer.lua[/b][/u] net.set_name('Server_Name') --Sets the the host name used in the deicated server, helpful if you are having to set your host name after every restart.. local res = net.start_server(serverSettings) if res ~= 0 then log.write('Dedicated Server', log.DEBUG, 'Failed to start server with code: ', res) end If you know of others that may be of use can you post them here and I'll add them to the Top post so it will help myself and others trying find things that can be done to Dedicated server

I have noticed that these sound errror contimue plague my Dedicated server.. Its been an issue for a very long time.. that sound issues abound. its not just ED's modules its happening on all modules, the F14 is seriously sad.. the biggest thing I dont understand, is this is a DEICATED server. No video, Why are the sounds being loaded to start with .. this should be a client side thing.. not a server side thing.. if like me I have the GUI scaling set differently so I could read the text there is a new setting for that in the config section near the scaling settings set that where you used to have the GUI scaling..

OMG... I have been experiencing that too!!!! but until you said that last part about the flashing the DCS logo I would never have remembered that... and just so you know this has not been fixed...I"m have this issue today 25 may 2020...

as I sit at the same desk to use either of my pc's as my server is sitting in an off site location.. and I access it via a remote desktop connection.. it has no point in having both installed maybe save that update one while the other stays running.. but even then I didn't think there is a point there if its patch time its patch time and my server while being still running is not going to be usable for anyone once they all update as it will not show on their lists

its OK I had more time this time around and I was able to find the issue, it just didn't do that vital step of actually getting the required dedi server files... after installing those..and it took some finding for the right switch to tag on I have my server up and running again. and really its thanks to you guys for pushing me, I have been gonna do it for so long and just rolling along with the skate zilla gui for so long.. its was just easier to do that.. till I did my research into why it failed everytime.. AGAIN thanks for that push.. I would still be back there if not for your push..

so I I"m now in the process of starting from scratch.. the install of teh dedi did not work. and thats why I used the skate zilla to run it.. now I'm starting from scratch so I'm going have to try to get it to work..

So I just tried to install the Dedi server again ... and after in installs and the carrier update run on the DEDi server folder.. click the short cut created by install it says it need to update so I let it then its says that its already installed and needs to be installed in diff folder .. let and it stops saying it cant find the dcs.exe ..

Viff because this is easier to run like this .. and especially since I spend a lot of time away from home.. it makes it very easy.. plus I had trouble setting up the DEDI server so I just did the easy way...

OK So I use SKATE ZILLA launcher to run my Dedicated server and take care of update what the user specific string I need to use to get the dedicate server with the supercarrier.. Ok so I did fix my issue thanks the to post above.. I used CMD to get the bin Folder and ran the updater with supercarrier and described above and it did its thing and all good now .. still get no added Carrier Crew or items on the Deck in Multiplayer

Well I can say only what a pain in the arse this is.. To get rid of all the plains that I didn't buy and in some cases did not even try out.. I have to delete each on individually.. with a restart between each OMG ED could you have not made it easier to remove stuff that you are not giving away.. Super carrier who cares about that when I get reminded every time I start DCS that I didn't buy this plane and this plane... I'm sure you get the idea... now to get them off my computer.. is a painful experience !!!!! Not Happy JAN!!!!!

Well let just hope the Tester are doing what they should be .. and testing it. I do hope there is a broader spectrum of System's and knowledge.. I think this is the reason for the failure to be able to change or add a load out.. to f18. I have not been able to do this since I got back home .. I was fine before a I left home for work 5 weeks ago.. but with latest update... it seems the gear geometry was changed and now it way too soft..

Hi I am unable to complete a reload on first startup.. when loading into the Carrier on Dedi MP server. After starting Plane. I talk to the ground crew and ask for new load out.. (does not matter what I"m taking off or putting back on!) I have included a track file ...OK so no I haven't been able to include it as after only Startup and loadout change the track file is too big to be attached.. how can I report something and include a track file if I can't attach it..

I have tried to use them in the save games folder but this does nothing even when teh folder structure is identical..

they have been workingon the core already that why we have the current problems with 2.5.6.

just out of interest what is a normalizer ? how does it work?

purhaps you need to delete your user config.lua file in the save games folder for dcs
