  1. The day I've been waiting for. Thanks so much chuck. You have given me so many hours of study joy. Between this and redkite on YouTube I should be a master of harrier a2g soon.
  2. Bump as I'd also like to know this. Two pets that shed hair doesn't help. I generally give it a quick blow and pack it away when not in use but it's still getting a bit hairy.
  3. Awesome! So we have to wait until the next update for this to go live?
  4. Thanks for sharing! Never can have too many spit documentaries.
  5. Ok, that works like a charm. Thanks!
  6. Ah righto. Thanks. I'll try it out with this in mind.
  7. Thanks, that's what I suspected. So keep them both on until fuel low warning then that means all 3 external are done?
  8. Hey there. Absolutely love this module and have already gotten many hours of joy out of it. If I want to do a bit of multirole I usually go with a loadout of 2xaim9, 4xbomb of some sort and a 275 centre fuel tank. It's fun to do an a2g run, drop the tank and go dogfight. However when I have experimented with pylon tank loadouts it seems buggy. I've tried 2xaim9 and 3x 275 tank for a bit of a fun "haul across the map and jettison to fight" loadout and it seems: Firstly when I flick the pylon fuel switch alone they don't seem to work (I don't believe you need to flick pylon and centre at once right? Once pylon shows low external fuel you should be able to flick that off and flick on centre tank next?) Secondly, and most importantly, they don't want to jettison unless I press the jettison all emergency button. The centreline tank jettisons fine as usual, but the pylon ones stay there regardless of which pylons I select. Any input/advice?
  9. Thanks again!
  10. Hey, cheers. Where do we save this?
  11. I wonder this too. I may have just been rusty after spending time on the harrier a bit lately. In any case it seems I've gotten the hang of it again. Trimming an entire 2 notches up gives me the best success to counteract the plane wanting to nose dive with flaps down. Makes it easier to keep a nice steady descent rate with the gunsight pointing at the horizon and just a gentle pull back to flare and 3pt.
  12. Ah, so it's not just me. I swear it's even trickier to land now. If one wheel touches first even by a whisker it really bounces sideways. I've had to go back to the drawing board but I think I'm getting the hang of it again after a frustrating couple of nights.
  13. I believe it simply helps ensure you don't nose over when you brake.
  14.
  15. Do you mean expendable income?? I think your logic is flawed too. If 60USD is your monthly earnings, you sure as shit should not be spending even a fraction of those earnings on any kind of map/asset pack/module for a an ultra realistic flight simulator which you're also going to need to spend at least a couple of grand on hardware to get anything meaningful out of. When I was a student, I didn't expect to be able to play advanced flight sims as there was no way I could afford the hardware to begin with. I've already gotten >100 hours of bliss out of this Normandy and asset pack and I'm only just getting started. One meal for two out costs more.
  16. Nice! That's exciting, I'll have to try it. I'm not sure why that wouldn't be in the change log as that's pretty cool. Any description on the difference?
  17. It's just 60 bucks to have them both bundled together. Bargain imho. In xplane 11 they charge 15-30 bucks for one airport. You already get nice stuff like B17s, steam trains and - most importantly - WW2 ear flak etc. I don't get why so many people have a problem with it...
  18. I've seen that but was nice to watch again. 1:09:10 is something we've all been through I think. It's a bit hairy there keeping both wheels on the ground!
  19. Awesome, loved it. Thanks for sharing. At 2:48 you can really see how accurate the heavy right rudder requirement on takeoff is modeled.
  20. Thanks heaps for that. I get the whole "strapped in" thing. But it's been doing my head in trying to read any of the dials. Perfect fix.
  21. Thanks! Looking forward to watching all of these.
  22. A little bit of right rudder trim helps with the Spitfire constantly wanting to corkscrew left. Though I imagine it makes the plane a bit draggier? I don't really notice myself.
  23. Fair enough. Totally reasonable and it's a good option to have no doubt.
  24. I seriously don't think you need to adjust any default spring settings or anything to consistently land the spit. Just practice a couple of hundred times and it will be second nature. After a couple of months of rep after rep I can now do sexy 3 pointers just about every time. At worst I get a slight bounce. Controlling once you're down is just a matter of dancing lightly on the pedals as has been said many times. I was as frustrated as anyone in my first few weeks. Do 200 hundred landings (it's easy to shift R over and over) and I would bet my life all your problems will have gone away.
  25. Awesome! Sorry if it's been covered elsewhere. Will we be able to use the spit for this campaign?
