  1. You said that I was implying it was a C and it basically is someplaces more. It has all 3 dispays color and the sniper pod which is an upgrade over the C, only things it doesn't have are the upgraded fuel and engine panel and the onboard Oxygen generator. Few other things i can't discuss.
  2. Yea Canada's still have the clock and I'm pretty sure the only time it gets used is when I'm waiting for the guys to apply hydraulics and I'm fiddling with it , the wind up is satisfying to spin.
  3. Not sure how good the vrs superbug is but I've been getting my fix looking at a/a radar of that. I believe that models the 73 not the AESA. It seems to have all the same modes and symbology , could be a help ?
  4. As Banzaiib said its the compressor close to stall, sometimes when the throttles are rigged a little low on the ground idle it will stay like it , most pilots will advance the throttle a bit to make it go away because its loud as hell and very annoying, new pilots don't always do this. I don't know if you seen this video but I have been meaning to make a version of this with the hornet , bit of a niche market though.
  5. Landing isn't really that loud , the loudest thing is the NLG bouncing along, its a combo of the Freeplay in the drag brace and then NLG mounting points its definitely the loudest thing during taxi, takeoff and landing roll out. The current afterburner is pretty spot on for what it sounds like in the cockpit and the high aoa buffet.
  6. I'm just interested if some 3 position switches will be included, (flaps ,speed brake etc ) without tweaking of the lua like the f-5s default warthog setup is . Fun fact the speed brake needs to be held while airborne and it stays out with weight on wheels , so no forgetting it after a run in and climbing away in burner with it left out . Hornets speed brake light is more visible than most aircraft anyway though.
  7. With most of the Hornet's A/G missions being prebriefed targets, will we see something in the future to setup your waypoints in the breifing after the loading screen to multiplayer servers , Instead of painstakingly manually inputting them on the ramp? Also not a question but I noticed something on the startup last time -If there are any X's on the fcs page the bit page will show a DEGD in the FCS-MC not a GO.

I've been working on the hornet for 10 years in Canada so bit different but I have worked on the old crts as well as the new displays and I have never heard them called AMPCD by anyone . Not like it matters what they're called as long as you know what people are talking about. I don't care what there called as long as they look as awesome as the A-10c's in VR.

Actual pilots and technicians call them DDI's . Lots of stuff is called certain names in the book but they are referred to differently by the techs. Makes it confusing for new techs when they are told to service an oleo and can't find it in the book because its call a shock absorber. Im sure if you want pink on the ddi its the matter of changing a couple numbers in the lua file .
  10. Looks like its confirmed in the new flight dynamics video , shows one being done.
  11. Just found a video of a fully loaded super hornet doing one ,skip to 2:45 for maneuver
  12. I read this straight from the Hornet NFM manual so it's definitely in the C model and was a part of the fcs software before the 10.7 software upgrade. I really hope the hornet has its high aoa characteristics thats what sets the aircraft apart from other aircraft and is one of its advantages.
  13. Have been reading through the operating manual and found the pirouette logic which is, when below 210kts and greater than 25 degrees AOA, you apply full lateral stick and same direction rudder and the aircraft will do a 180 heading reversal under control. Has this been mentioned to be implemented ?
  14. Awesome video cosmicdoubloon , I could have contributed some footage but my internet was poor at the time and the stream was at about 15fps so nothing too pretty could have came of it.
