  1. I have my flaps bound to an axis. When I fly as the RIO for my pilot, we always run into an issue in flight where my axis command will trigger and conflict with his flap settings. Steps to reproduce: Set up a multicrew flight with the RIO using a Flaps Axis bind (in the Flap Up position) Slow to landing speed and deploy landing gear and flaps. Gear will deploy, but flaps may only partially deploy. Have RIO move Flap axis in their pilot seat keybinds. This will cause to Flap lever in the pilot seat to move.
  2. I did not own the mig-21 prior to the free period so I cannot compare to the previous performance, however it does seem that the frame drops progressively overtime, almost as if clutter from previous sweeps of the radar scopes builds up. If I switch the scope to standby and then back to operational, the frame rate returns to the lower level, however if I allow the radar to remain in standby mode for several seconds, when the radar is returned to operational mode, the frame rate will be higher and begin to decay again as described earlier. Perhaps this behaviour may hint at the cause. *Edit* This observation was made in multiplayer on the Persian Gulf map. My single player performance does not show obvious frame rate degradation. *Edit 2* Rejoined after reseting Fxo and Shader folders. Now seeing stable frames. *Edit 3* Upon checking frame rates, frames with the radar off go from 100fps average, to jumping to between 95 to 45fps constantly. Same pattern to the degradation of FPS as mentioned above. Can get the minimum framerate back to 59fps by disabling the mirror.
  3. I created some new missions mimicking the quick start missions and pre-2.5.6 missions i have made. The improvement was negligible. When the DDD dies, the frame rate roughly doubles every time, regardless of mission file.
  4. So I did another test. In the editor, I used the failures page and enabled the "DDD: Total" failure. The moment the DDD died in game, my frame rate returned to normal. To duplicate, Set the player aircraft as a tomcat with the failure "DDD: Total" enabled. Before clicking "FLY", Jump into the RIO seat, then click fly. The Framerate should see the current drop until the DDD dies. At that moment, the frame rate will return to normal. I hope that helps a bit. Edit: Looks like "DDD: Total" only disables the display while the radar can still function and track targets. Perhaps a rendering issue?
  5. Booted up an SP session to test the WCS. As soon as the WCS had finished warming and the DDD and TID came online, the frame rate tanks.
  6. As mentioned by others, the A's pilot cockpit will lack the dedicated RWR. I believe that the A model that HB is making will have an older RWR sensor integrated into the lower pilot display as a mode. I believe that the RIO cockpit will lack the dedicated control stick for the LANTIRN pod and the dedicated RWR sensor.
  7. Given the way that Cap does videos, it's probably best that GR only gets preview access later. Rather have the module in the best state possible before sending it his way.
  8. I've done more tests using Flak 18,36 and 37 against several types of ground targets and air targets. The results have been inconsistent except for the fact that the Flak munitions are impacting near the ground. Sometimes Several impacts happen before the crash, sometime its after the first shot.
  9. I have the same crash, but I tested against the flak 36 and 37. it seems to happen when the player is in range of the AA weapon and their line of sight becomes obstructed by trees. I plan to do more testing with other AAA systems outside of the WW2 units.
  10. So I have tried both 2.1 and 1.5.7 in single player and I am happy to say that the persistent sound after death is no longer happening. I will try it out in multiplayer sometime to confirm if it has been resolved in multiplayer.
  11. I've done some tests in 1.5.7.9891 Open Beta. I changed aircraft in a single player session in the editor via the "choose slot" option in the menu. the following sounds are carried over into a new aircraft after the first aircraft change: fuel pump, RWR tones, VCB power selector 'warming up' sound effects. Helicopter crash sound effect including pilot grunting on impact. These were all done in single player with M variant. I will see about providing a more detailed report later with steps to reproduce.
  12. Thank you. That has resolved the issue.
  13. Worked for me with one exception. The canopy seal lining (I think it is) is still missing its textures, but since you can only see it while the canopy is open, it's not game breaking for me.
