  1. Hey guys. Currently The BFM Barn (v65th AGRS) is a private by-invite only Discord. However we are in the process of refining our training syllabus. We've got 14 guys mostly all active RL Pilots and handful of skilled arm chairs, with varying backgrounds (USAF(Ret), RDAF(Ret) and active Airline and GA. With aircraft experience in Multiple Single and Twin GA, F-4E Phantom, F-86H, F-105, F-100, C-130, KC-135, T-37, T-38, CRJ, Gulfstream, Huey, Seaking, and a few others. Full disclosure - We're not looking to train anyone in Airmanship (Instruments or Navigation) you'll bring those skills with you. We will train in tactical formation, BFM, ACM, Surface Attack, SCAR, AFAC, CAS, AAR. Our flying is mission oriented. Usually try to keep sorties to about 1 - 1.5 hrs duration (respecting peoples lives and time commitments). Our flying is goal oriented with scalable achievable missions designed to demonstrate a Desired Learning Objective. The overall goal is to have a group of pilots that operate at high skill.level but have fun and are challenged. We're all learning. We aim to provide an environment that is learning based and where you can see results. At the end of the day you've improved as a result. Thanks all. -Rick
  2. That was it! I somehow overlooked that! Been too long since I was in the paint brushes!
  3. I'll verify. Thank you for the tip. I'll let you know if that was the prob!
  4. Never had this issue before. But each area where the decals are set, whether I have them showing or set to "empty", shows the square off Really of the full decal. Any ideas how to get rid of this? Very odd indeed! It's as if they are not blending with the Roughness files called out in the description LUA.
  5. Was in the VC....I probably should have tested externally as well. Maybe it was just a fluke on my end? I haven't had a chance to fire the sim back up yet.
  6. Interesting. Mine is dimming... I'll try hitting the fix DCS tool....hopefully that resolves the problem then for me...
  7. Dimming the Nav lights causes the Landing light to dim as well. I don't know if this is accurate behavior, but all the aircraft I've ever flown in real life and simulator, I've never seen this behavior. It doesn't exist in the T-38, so I'm guess it's probably a bug. I know this is an older model, but if you can get around to it, would be a good Squawk to squash. Thanks guys!
  8. It's already been uploaded! Over a week now! ;)
  9. Our group did several tests last night in MP. With full zoom, aircraft do not even render a single pixel beyond 3nm? This must be a bug? All screen native resolutions we're 1080p with sim set to 1080p. It seems that previous to.the 8/29 update visibility was greater? It's now.very difficult to see aircraft at even 2nm with zoom. Any chance you may look into this? Sorry if this was reported previously. Thanks much. Respectfully, Rick
  10. Wouldn't it be great to be able to see that MiG-15 at your 2 O'Clock low and 3 miles in your Sabre because the glint of sun reflecting off the whole aircraft caught your eye!?? You bet it would! What do you say ED? :smilewink:
  11. I use Photoshop CC.
  12. Sorry guys I submitted it for UL but didn't notice that it had timed out. Haven't had a chance to try again. Will UL this after noon.
  13. I lied, here's the final Paint with readjusted Specs and Black 300 drop tanks. Uploading now... Enjoy!
  14. Interesting! I just save the skin with the UV mesh blended on top. I then open it in model viewer. Then I can see exact where the mesh lines and the paint are. This one was tough because of the feathered edges of the lines which are not solid so it makes hard lineup very challenging to achieve. However The base color, black and stripes are All layer masked painted which makes correcting errors much easier than with other non destructive techniques.
  15. Thank you.
  16. Finished.
  17. Ready for the Paint Chipper!
  18. Painstakingly slow for me right now.... But making progress!
  19. Better stripes. Alignment much better....what a pain!
  20. DOWNLOAD HERE
  21. On the bright side, I've been moving to about as non-destructive painting method as I.can get. So I can change the colors with basically one click and can get new stripes very quickly....the wierd part about this one is the feathered edges of the stripes... I'm making progress though!
  22. WIP...need to revise how I do these lines to get them to align better...a little experimentation tonight....
  23. If I do the the Clean version, I will look into moving the position of the fuselage stars. I'm leaving the thickness as is. I have photos and indeed the photos in the other post shows that the thickness varies and is very thick like the ones used as well as thinner. right now I'm focused on the Black-Camo scheme which is coming along...
