  1. Well, you must have some really impressive temporal sensory perception! Yes there's always input latency with any device. However, when I had the the curves set to <=-15 the response was essentially instantaneous. BUT, provided too small a region of command input to be effective. However, I too have experienced the PIO when in AAR. I definitely think that you can find a good balance as it is now, but that the FLCS needs some work for sure. As does the FM.
  2. The Viper is slow to respond likely because your joystick curves are set to provide a comfortable range of motion and a controllability. you need to physically move your stick to a position that corresponds to a desired control output Flaperon or Elevon deflection. You can get very quick response time to control surface inputs if you set the curves much lower into the negative. The issue with this becomes with things like formation flying or trying to execute a limiter pull. The inputs for a mechanical joystick with a cam become too small to be effectively used (at least for me) and for being able to effectively hit the limiter pull without over pulling in the heat of the fight. The tolerances are just too small to effectively mechanically translate into precise movement. So that "snappy" feel is balanced by the requirement to be able to control the aircraft correctly. I don't think any of the guys I know who use a Force Sensing Stick have any complaints - and I think it's likely due to the nature of the way the inputs are processed by the FBW system. It just physically takes more time for anyone with a physically moving stick to get it to the desired position and out of the desired position once there (for that snappy crisp roll stop for example). Because your stick is registering the control input all the way there and all the way back. A force sensing stick is registering the input only until it's gone - as I understand it. So there's not return force other than that which occurs for the time it takes the surface returns to neutral.
  3. And it is quite obvious when paddle is being used. Guys get really spun up if you point it out as well. I suppose it's not surprising, because by pointing it out you're in effect delegitimizing/pointing out their skill deficiency. Egos should be checked at the door. IMO paddle switch is a crutch. If you're someone who uses it consistently, and without it, you're finding yourself unable to convert to a CZ/WEZ (and you're also someone who is trying to employ authentically - not someone who's interested in flying like an arcade game - there's room for everyone in the sim, but I'm not addressing those people here), then you may want to revisit some basics. Start looking at basic mech like your TCE to help fix your starting geometry might be a good place to start.
  4. I guess the question becomes, what kind of experience are you looking for when you fly? Is it just a game or are more a serious simmer? Let's assume it's a closely authentic experience you're looking for, since it sounds that way with the inputs given this thread thus far. The problem with finding the "guns only" BFM solution is that it typically will ignore other winning or losing cues. For example. The above suggestion. While it may "work" it also sounds like you are widening the TC and now bringing the fight back outside Rmin against a blue sky. While the cues are saying winning for guns only, they are screaming "losing" against an offemder who still has AAMs. So doing that would be a BFM error. It's the same reason Skyblazer1 mentioned that TC shrink is not meant to fight a HOBS equipped adversary. Really good post C.
  5. Almost finished...WIP
  6. Thanks! There's not yet. I'm redoing to bring it up to current standards.
  7. Uploaded. Waiting for Approval.

    Re-Release

Ok, the Mirage "2000-10" from Chevaliers Du Ciel has been released a while back. Here is the next one. It's ready for upload. A fictional RCAF variant. I will likely release the Draken International One next. Followed by the RDAF Versions.
  9. Textures shouldn't have anything to do with IC. Megalax, this is OUTSTANDING work.
  10. I noticed this for the first time after teh last update. The 16 Cockpit isn't low frames, but all of a sudden is like head tracking is just slowed down. It's moving smoothly, it's just not moving quickly. But FPS is still high.
  11. The Next Batch has Started MIKE'S BIRD
  12. I elected to upload them all as Singleton's. Enjoy!

    Hellenic Vipers

Oh man....love that aft tail section. Do the CFT's actually hold fuel?
  14. My fingers are crossed hoping to eventually see your A-4 and TA-4J in DCS! All I can say is you're finally here!
  15. AVAILABLE!
  16. Remind me to NEVER AGAIN upload anything on a Friday on the west coast USA. Sorry guys...whenever ED gets around to approving them. Looks like Thursday is the new drop dead date for weekly uploads for my location.
  17. It's crazy how it changes the perception despite the model shape. Looking forward to your redo of the main thing!
  18. I haven't forgotten. ;). Just had to get these updated before starting new.
  19. Thanks man.
  20. The Following have been updated and Uploaded to User Files.
  21. Experimenting with P&W engine textures
  22. I've updated all my paints to a incorporate new changes I've made in my personal paint kit and put them all into this single point mega-pack. More paints to come in another one. Enjoy this for now.
