  1. Ok, so in some training missions, there are those square, green flight path markers floating in the air. Would it be possible to place them behind a plane? For example, I'm flying a mission in the Jagdflieger campaign and it says that I'm supposed to be somebody's wingman - but where's this guy exactly? These markers, with an option to turn them on and off, would help a lot. Anyway, my 2 cents.
  2. Why not "Mossie Month"?
  3. It's been released, what a nice surprise before midnight.
  4. Manual, pages 264-265. Figure 208. Status Page 2 As with page 1, page 2 also contains a 3-column table for LRU, STAT and TEST. Items in the LRU column include:  TGP  LTMFCD RTMFCD  HOTAS  STICK  THRTL. Adjust the slew function here to control slew rate of cursor on TAD, TGP and HUD. Does it help?
  5. Have the same problem as well.
  6. I think that a quickly doable and viable option would be to make it possible to adjust fuel transfer speed: normal, double, triple, etc. In this way, you would still have to make contact with the boom/basket, but wouldn't have to fly in formation with the tanker for several minutes which is... well... difficult for many people. Then, as you progress, you could gradually, in settings, slow down fuel flow to its normal rate.
  7. A few years ago, I started the Basic Flight Training Qualification to learn flying the A-10C. Some missions were a royal pain, as vehicles kept running into me when I was taxiing to the runway or triggers didn't work, but I finally got to mission 3. Then I had to stop playing and did not play DCS for a long time. When I got back and wanted to continue the campaign, I realised that the campaign is no longer active and have to start from scratch. I wasn't very enthusiastic about it, since it took me literally two or three hours to complete the Ground Handling mission, so I decided to try another approach, namely to edit the logbook.lua file. It's kind of "soft cheating" but I know which missions I already completed and nowadays I don't have that much time to fly them again. So I used the editor created by Diego Molas, https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/486408/ to edit the logbook file. In the case of this mission, the syntax looks more or less like this: ["created"] = "Fri Mar 12 20:55:42 2021", ["player"] = "JDoe", ["campaign"] = "./Mods/campaigns/A-10C - Basic Flight Training Qualification/A-10C - Basic Flight Training Qualification.cmp", ["status"] = "Active", ["history"] = { [1] = { ["datetime"] = "Fri Mar 12 20:56:32 2021", ["agKills"] = 0, ["aaKills"] = 0, ["result"] = 100, ["deathsCount"] = 0, ["stage"] = 1, ["mission"] = "A-10C - BFT Arrival.miz", }, -- end of [1] To get access to other missions, copy, paste and edit so it looks like this: [4] = { ["datetime"] = "Fri Mar 12 21:07:32 2021", ["agKills"] = 0, ["aaKills"] = 0, ["result"] = 100, ["deathsCount"] = 0, ["stage"] = 4, ["mission"] = "A-10C - BFT03 Fly Traffic Pattern.miz", }, -- end of [4] [3] = { ["datetime"] = "Fri Mar 12 21:03:32 2021", ["agKills"] = 0, ["aaKills"] = 0, ["result"] = 100, ["deathsCount"] = 0, ["stage"] = 3, ["mission"] = "A-10C - BFT02 Takeoff and EFATO.miz", }, -- end of [3] }, -- end of ["history"] Mission names can be found in the following folder (if you use Open Beta): [drive letter]:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\campaigns\A-10C - Basic Flight Training Qualification I know it's not rocket science and you can figure it out yourself, but why waste time. Hope that helps

  8. Ok, so the cheaper option is valid. Thanks!
  9. One more question. Is Oculus Quest 2 with 64 GB of memory enough for DCS or you need the 256 GB version?
  10. And by "pretty beefy" you mean...?
  11. Ok, a friend of mine recommends buying a Reverb G 2. Will it provide a better resolution (and gauge readability) in DCS? What are your experiences with this set?
  12. Thank you Zildac, I have to return the VR set today, but maybe I'll try again soon with another type.
  13. Thank you all for your input!
  14. A few days ago, I bought Oculus Rift S just to test it in DCS and some other flight sims. I must say the experience was a bit underwhelming. While image sharpness was adequate in a few tutorials supplied with the software, enemy planes in DCS appeared a bit blurry. It was also difficult to read gauges in the F-14 and MFDs in the F-16. Frankly, I prefer playing in HD with Track IR. Is it possible to improve image sharpness or it's just a feature of Rift S? My specs: Ryzen 7 3700X 32 GB RAM RTX 2070 S I've heard that HP Reverb is a better choice for DCS, what do you think? Would be grateful for any advice!
  15. I miss that game too, sadly I don't think we'll be able to play a modern version of DW soon. Now I'm just waiting for Sea Power by Microprose.
  16. Wouldn't it be simpler just to make a remake of Dangerous Waters? I'd gladly buy and play it.
  17. Maybe Ian McCollum at Forgotten Weapons could help you. PS. I'm not kidding, the guy is a true expert.
  18. It happened to me as well when I was trying to drop Snakeyes from the Mirage 2000. Even if the bombs collide, they shouldn't explode as the fuses shouldn't be armed yet, but that's rather obvious.
  19. "Transfer complete!" !!! Just completed my first AAR in my trusty A-10C! Now I'm just crying and dropping flares...
  20. Hi, if you like aviation art, maybe you should check this website: https://www.artstation.com/peterfor I already have a few of his artworks, they look awesome. Regards
  21. So it seems it worked as it should for one release and now we're back to pre-Tank Killer state.
  22. Hello, I don't know it it's a bug or a feature, but I noticed that when starting cold'n'dark, the A-10C (both the "old" and the "new") has its flaps down again. Wasn't it mentioned as a bug? I'm not 100% sure, but I think that before the last patch the flaps were in the up position from the beginning. Now the flaps retract after the 1st engine is started up. Apart from that, the plane standing next to mine has its flaps up.
  23. I just realized that my inspiration could be episode 13 of Love, Death and Robots, in which the protagonist fired flares at the cockpit of an enemy fighter during a head-on engagement. So we probably can knock it off for now.
  24. Well, I actually fired several thousand rounds from pistols and SMGs.
  25. I've seen it, probably more that 25 years ago :)
