I appreciate everyone's input to my issue. Seems like it's always what you thought was the problem. My video card . . . I tried EVERYTHING else, process of elimination. My card has been great for 9 plus years, a GEFORCE GTX 1080 DUKE . . but it was failing. I purchased a MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB GDRR6 Extreme Clock: 2625 MHz 128-Bit HDMI/DP Nvlink TORX Fan 4.0 Ada Lovelace Architecture Graphics Card (RTX 4060 Ti Ventus 2X Black 16G OC) My good friend gave me his HP G2, he went to the Meta Quest 3, wireless. One monitor cable later, 1.5 hours on configuring good Frame Rate and I flew in multiplayer with 4 guys for almost 2 hours with no issues. Achieving at times 50 FPS . . . but mostly around 34 FPS. So 'case closed' on this one. Chopper

Thanks for responding back . . I've confirmed that the HOT PLUG in SETTINGS is ENABLED . . . . but I tried with it being DISABLED and there was no change Yes, VR works perfectly with the Mixed Reality piece. I purchased it exclusively for DCS. So I really don't do anything else with it. I have no other VR games. The large G2 plug goes directly into my video card, the other into the back of the computer, no adaptor. Never have seen a "4-1 error" . . cables stay plugged in all the time. Here are the latest two logs from this morning. The VR shutters and then freezes, sometimes run a few seconds longer, freezes as mission starts . . . I'm clueless Thanks again! dcs.log dcs.log.old

Can't get the HP G2 headset to run more than about a minute. Been trying now over the last day and a half. I know I'm not the only one from what I've seen on the web. Fresh install of Steam, SteamVR, Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR, OpenXR, tried opening DCS in every configuration. Been using MT for 10 months. Non-VR is great. Been flying DCS for 10+ years, shouldn't be this hard. I need help on this one. When it runs that short amount of time the graphics are great. Screen and G2 go 'black' when any mission loads, when you see the screen with the clouds and the 'blue line' loads the files, then it come back on, runs for a short time then freezes up, eventually it crashes and I then send a LOT of crash logs signing out. I attached my last two log files and my system file. Any help would be appreciated, thanks, Chopper dcs.log dcs.log.old

Guys . . see track, I drop 2 GBU 31's and each one take out two bunker/MIGs . . can that just happen because of the bomb blast and the location of the other plane? I've tried to use the Scenery Destruction Zone trigger with no success. Can't replicate what is shown in this video Perhaps the latest update this week and using the new Iraq map make a difference . . will try using another map. Will try Afghanistan and Nevada. Wondering if anyone else has this issue. Thanks up front, Chopper GBU 31 .trk

Game Crashes If I Watch Bombs Drop, Look At Ground Targets
Chopper A-10 replied to Chopper A-10's topic in Game Crash
Installed 64GB of Memory . . solved the problem completely . . except. If I run the same mission in multi-player, Meta Link, Rift S, it 'locks up' if I watch the bombs hit their targets. Same as before. So, my next step is to uninstall the Rift S software and reinstall, and uninstall OpenXR and NOT reinstall it. I may have a separate issue with VR. OpenXR has caused me issues since I first added it. I hear that Meta has their own version of it in their software. Marking this "Mark as Solution" Thanks everyone for their help. -

Game Crashes If I Watch Bombs Drop, Look At Ground Targets
Chopper A-10 replied to Chopper A-10's topic in Game Crash
sleighzy, already checked for overclocking, driver with DDU also uninstalled and reinstalled, Motion Blur is OFF, that had caused another problem earlier and by turning it OFF had fixed that issue. Thanks for the input -

Game Crashes If I Watch Bombs Drop, Look At Ground Targets
Chopper A-10 replied to Chopper A-10's topic in Game Crash
buceador . . . no it does not . . . doesn't crash if I fly the mission, watch the impact on the FLIR, only when I'm outside of the cockpit . . sometimes even watching my wingman in F2, or a enemy aircraft going down from a A2A kill BitMaster . . . thanks for the input . . will recheck everything One other thing . . can fly VR in single player, crashes in multiplayer in VR about 5 minutes into the mission . . now I'm thinking memory. -
Game Crashes If I Watch Bombs Drop, Look At Ground Targets
Chopper A-10 replied to Chopper A-10's topic in Game Crash
rob10, I did set my pagefile to a static 32GB . . ran the mission again and it crashed as I was watching the bombs hit the ground target . . . just like it had done previously. Attached the log for your review . . . thank you dcs.log dcs.log-20241020-174003.zip -
Game Crashes If I Watch Bombs Drop, Look At Ground Targets
Chopper A-10 posted a topic in Game Crash
Running any mission or in multiplayer, if I view the bombs falling, F6, or watch bombs hit targets on the ground, F7, my screen shudders, then stops, lock up DCS and then I 'report' the crash. The logs show a lot of 'ERRORS' . . but way over my head determining what causes the sim crash. It seems like my graphic card is overloaded . . I have GeForce GTX, DUKE...but I'm just guessing. This problem has occurred after the last big updates, never had this issues years ago. Any help would be appreciated, Chopper dcs.log dcs.log-20241020-005925.zip -

My 'hook' panel indicator light no longer lights on my Hornet panel. Launch Bar light works correctly. Never had an issue with this since the Hornet came out. Any suggestions would be great, Chopper

My System Crashes In VR After 5 Minutes
Chopper A-10 replied to Chopper A-10's topic in Virtual Reality
Found the problem . . OpenXR was not allowing my graphics card to open when required . . . Meta was no help, could not select Oculus as the 'active', loaded the Toolbox for OpenXR and disabled OpenXR from there forcing Meta to allow Oculus as 'active' and everything worked again. Log told the story and no more 'system crashes' Hope this helps someone else, Chopper -

reported DCS ST VR - Mouse cursor color now Black
Chopper A-10 replied to Rocky49's topic in View and Spotting Bugs
Bignewy . . what does that mean . . 'threads merged' . . . still have a 'black' cursor in ST/VR . . . if I run MT/VR in multiplayer it crashed after a couple of minutes. Single player is fine in both MT and ST in VR . . except ST still has a 'black' cursor. Using META and Rift S -
