Military Command has selected two target area for this operation. Sector 28A, the Minab Dam Sector 62P, The Islamic Republic of Iran Southern Railyard. These target areas are essential in containing the growth of military grade materials for the Iranian Nuclear Program. The Minab Dam is gearing up to produce high outputs of electricity and the railyard in critical in stopping the transportation of materials. This mission is the continuation of prior operations in the area; Operation Knockout, Operation Krypton and Operation Top Down. Operational orders came with the President’s approval for these two strikes. Mission Air Threats: Consist of SAM sites, AAA, and MIGs. MIGs/F-4s are on alert in both locations. My Hornet in VR works like WAGS video each time . . no issues locking targets . . .I've even tried moving targets . . works per his video.

Try putting a 'friendly' tank or ground troops near the oil rig and see if they will attack. I know for sure that they will fire on incoming Harm missiles fired at them from other ships. Worth a 'test' try to see what happens.

Another good video and he posted his mission to use . . the more Missions you acquire the more you learn on how they are created by others . . that was my learning curve.

I went into ME and changed the WEAPON selection from ALL to GUIDED BOMBS . . . JTAC then asks for the GBU's you have onboard . . . works correctly then. I can't get the GBU's to work with the AutoLasing script yet. Can't wait for the targeting pod

This is VERSION 2.0 of this mission to utilize the newly released Mavericks. Version 1.0 had A-10C aircraft to take out priority targets . . . now the Hornets provide CAP and Ground Attack for this mission. I've added a few more items, hope you enjoy this mission. Operation Name: TOP DOWN Mission: Escort B-52 Bomber Group Target Area: Hormozgan Province, Iran Objectives: Bomb Manufacturing Facilities Producing Weapon Grade Plutonium Mission Planning/Development: After the success of OPERATION KRYPTON, Intel/US satellites have identified a second facility that is key to Iran’s ability to produce weapon grade plutonium and centrifuge parts. This facility is located the city of Anveh. Their military continues to build these facilities in an urban area hoping to hide their activities. Operation Top Down will be a strategic strike of force to this newly identified compound. The strike force will consist of two B-52’s, followed by a single B1-B bombing attacking of the Bandar Lengeh Airbase. This airbase has been a threat to the region with regards to air space intrusion. This second strike will only proceed if the first portion of the mission is successful. The B-52 group will be escorted to the target area by the USS Stennis Strike Group (JCSSG) aircraft. The operational command of this mission will be the JCSSG. Desk Mount I agree . . the lower the better . . get it like the real cockpit . . my right arms rests on my right thigh . . I fly only in VR . . these mounts work great.

I made my mounts out of plywood and attached them to the underside of the desk. A little plywood, screws, wood putty, grey paint and black duct tape does the trick. Had to remake the joystick mount recently because I went with an extension. Chopper

No . . I've flown it many times in single player .. . it is BEST when you have more players . . mission has lots of targets and MIG's .. Flying A-10's alone will not trigger the MIGS on you . . you still have enemy ships to deal with and AAA on the ground.

I opened a Support Ticket with ED . . . they found my problem. It was MS Edge . . I uploaded the mission in Google Chrome and it worked in seconds!! Won't be using Edge for this activity again! Thanks ED, Chopper

Can't Upload My Mission In User Files I've tried everything possible to get the website page to upload my latest mission. See attached photo . . . . after you click UPLOAD, the webpage does nothing. Yet, other users are uploading new skins, missions, etc . . . . must be a connection issue with my id/password. I'm logged IN . . and I just uploaded a mission last month and it worked correctly. Would like this to get to someone in ADMIN . . . don't know who I could send it to. Any help out there would be appreciated, thanks, Chopper

As of today, October 17th, I can't upload my new mission also . . . the webpage doesn't respond that it was sent ED help!

Thanks Don B . . . I have many friends with this issue as of yesterday . . I guess we only use Oculus for DCS . . . that's why it kind of took us back . . . I for one don't ever go to the Home Page in Oculus . . I also have never seen anything, here are any place else that said you must have Oculus running in the background. My DCS VR icon was the only thing I've had to open in almost two years now. This was required by P3D and Flyinside . . but never for me with DCS, Thanks again!

Yesterday, the 4th of October, Oculus updated their software to Version 1.31.0 When they did this (my machine was set to receive updates automatically) now DCS will not run in VR mode. My monitor acts like it is running VR, but the googles are dead. A friend asked Oculus about the effect to DCS and their response was: Ezekiel (Oculus Support) Oct 5, 10:00 AM PDT Hey Joseph, I understand that you are having an issue using some apps. You will want to go to Settings > General in the desktop app for Oculus Home and make sure that "Unknown Sources" is turned on, and this needs to be on to use any app not on Oculus Home Aside from the above option, Oculus does not provide support 3rd Party Apps, so if apps on Oculus Home are working correctly there isn't any troubleshooting I can offer. Please let me know whether or not you have further questions. Regards, Ezekiel Oculus Support So now the only was we have been able to run DCS in VR mode is to first start the OculusClient.exe program, have it running in the background and then start DCS in VR mode. This is what had to be done in P3D . . moving over to DCS is was nice not to have Oculus running in the background (to save every PC memory resources possible). So now that Oculus made changes, will it be possible for DCS to make changes to bring us back to normal? I thought with the number of VR users that this would be all over the internet and this forum, but I haven't seen anything on it. I know if it's possible that ED will update their end to support Oculus's changes. This is not a BUG, a complaint, a huge problem, but wanted to see if ED has also experienced this issue. If you fly the Hornets and follow the flight plan then the Migs will attack. If you fly the Hogs, you will not activate the Migs . . I think that was your question . . . The only AI in this mission are the Migs . . Chopper
