  1. How can I know the correct structure when they have removed them from main game folder? This is what frustrates me. Why did they do it like this. I cant mod 1 sound anymore. I cant even listen to the default sounds and know if I want to change the defaults sounds. What the hell is this. Is it because they dont want users to change any sounds?

  3. Hello. I am trying to find out why they changed the sound file structures and been reading this thread but other than a thin suggestion it is because of a new sound engine I am still in the dark here. I must believe there was a good reason for this change and not that they just poop on the customers and not care if the users cant mod their sounds like they did. Seems it is hella lot more complicated to mod your sounds. I used to look in my main game folder to see what the structure should be or even change some directly from there. I will keep digging for answers on why they did this change and if there is a soloution to get me back into modding my own sounds. I thought that was a great thing. Now I cant change anything because it is not clear on how to do it because the file structure in main game folder is not there anymore. I would be extremely grateful if someone could point me to other thread or threads that will shed some more light into this mystery. Thanks.
  4. Hi. I have been away from dcs a while but I updated my dcs beta today and discover all my missions I placed in user\savedgames\openbeta are gone. Same with all my soundmods. Seems to me the folder structure have completely changed. Sounds.edc, never seen that before. Seems like a lot of protected files in there. Are ED trying to stop the sound modding? Hoping someone could be so kind and point me to some threads where all these changes are explained. Hoping there are a good reason for these changes. Thought the point of having mods and missions in saved games folder was so they wouldnt be deleted in updates of the game. Thanks in advance

  6. Sorry for butting in on someones thread but the subject is relevant for me. I have tried the radio frequency with mixed success so if you wouldnt mind I would appreciate any info from you on the matter. I wonder to what extend I could mix my own soundfiles with use with the radio. I see in trigger options you can use some lua options or scripts and I dont know what that could be. Would be awsome if certain cockpit buttons could function as activators. Thanks.

  8. Hello. The initial training for startups in some planes are good but they are way too lengthy after doing them a few times. I wish for a second version of startup trainings that skips all the comments and just highlights the procedure with switches and buttons. Thanks, though I doubt anyone with influence will ever read this or care.
  9. Yes the new sounds are much better than before. Would it be very difficult for you guys to develope a new system for flyby sounds so you can use real recorded flybys. Would have to be a way to have it figure out your speed so to match the length of the flyby sound. Just asking. The flybys now are not bad at all but would be better with the real thing. Been under a p51 passing in a kind of low altitude and got to say that sound made a scar in my soul.

  11. Hello. I have a gtx 1060, i7 7700k and 16 gig ram I use with oculus cv1 and it just doesnt cut it. Im going to get the oculus S and if I could buy a gtx 1080ti new i would do so but thats not easy. The new gtx 1660 ti, how would that run dcs with oculus S. I would look to rtx series if the gtx1660ti wouldnt be good enough, which I suspect it wont be. The rtx 2080ti is out of the question, too expensive for me. I am looking at the rtx2070 super as an acceptable price. Any advice here would be much appreciated.

  13. Got to say i agree with some here saying sound is very important for immersion. I do not hear that enough in other sims too and its a bummer to see that great flightsimdevelopers just havent sound as a top priority.
  14. Thank you so much for this and I am sure you are right. It must be me that has messed up the wawfiles in my stable version. I have tinkered a lot with sound so... thank you for this mod.
  15. Hey and thank you for answering. If you extract the rar file you 2 folders, audiopack ver4 and nostalgiamenu. Inside audiopack ver4 there are 2 folders, config and sounds. Yes i put the correct folder in the modfolder so there are only 1 step from modfolder to gamefolders. I notice you have waw files named eagle1 - 4 and eagle 7-8. I do not find them in the game soundfolder where it should be but i do find them in my dcs 2.5 openbeta gamefolder. I have the stable version and the beta. I only tried your mod in the stable version. In 2.5 beta version i find the waw eagle.1-4. I do not find those in 2.5 stable version. Has this anything to do with it? I also notice you have a waw file named planefurwingturbulenceTB and I find that waw file in the beta version. I do not find planefurwingturbulenceTB in 2.5 stable, only planefurwingturbulence without the TB in the end. I tested this in the beta version now and it sound similar to the stable 2.5 where i first tried it. Would it be possible to get my hands on the other versions of your mod to test the difference. Ive been away for a time and have missed the stages of your mod.
  16. Soundmodders are my favorite people. Coming to the rescue of flightsims and other again and again. Ive tried soundmods from all of you guys making it for dcs and I thank you all. Now this soundmod has gone past me and I have no idea why. I downloaded yesterday and installed it but I cant seem to get the flyby sounds like your video in the first post here, from 2017. Have you altered the mod in this version 4 or did I do something wrong? The flyby from the first post sounds wicked and nasty, in a good way of course. Loved it.
  17. The sabre and mig15 are so worthy to have map and campaign made for them. Not even a campaign over the korean war is ............ Mig19 coming and i fear it will only be a flyable module without a home and purpouse. Sad really. Fantastic modules for dcs, my favorite ones and they have nothing to do there, just museum relics, sad story. Good thing people like this tries to do something for them with multiplayer. I often go to the korea server but i find myself alone.
