A-4E Community mod has an ESM, which allows you to make your own systems. Simply "copying" FC3 level systems is simply not possible, not without using all of the FC3 systems. You would be flying an F-15C disguised as an A-4E if that were the case. SDK would allow you access to create ASM, which is the same as ESM with the exception of more advanced instrumentation, and radio communication. SDK is only accessible to 3rd party developers, which the A-4E community team is not.

Radio/Comms require you needing SDK. In this, it would need ASM.

Betting on Wednesday, the practical release day for ED.

Scary! From last week's news: No updates this week I see... :(

Must be a nightmare taking off and praying you don't bounce the aircraft to scratch them pods.

Cheaper to produce yes, but by maintaining I hope you mean physically and not mentally. ;)

* DCS: F-14 Development Update! Scan, Lock, Fire! *
fl0w replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Yeah, but remember that you're flying away from it and that the chaff does have somewhat of a drag that does slowly make them get farther away. The issue is making it stay long enough on your RWR if the idea is to get angles by scanning from the hot metal shards it spews. -
* DCS: F-14 Development Update! Scan, Lock, Fire! *
fl0w replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
You could try not attempting to show the 3D object argumentation of it but when it recognizes the chaff event being triggered, but it wouldn't follow a greater accuracy of tracking it. By then, you wouldn't have random chaff signals appearing on your AWG-9. -
Well, the real one costs by average of $100,000 - $200,000 by factors of flight hours, maintenance, cost and some other things that I am aware of. It would definitely be cheaper for me to buy it in-game and get the same thing! (Well, at least not a real one to fly :D)

Oh, I got it then! Why do they have a problem with inverting the axis then? Having an ADI that is more logically appealing is better than by wanting a simplistic design. And following with the statement earlier, putting pilots in two completely different aircraft with different types of this ADI makes absolutely no sense.

Can you please specify? We all know at least how a gyroscope acts, so there would be no need to explain it. But gyroscopes are always stable, assuming this is in some spherical casing to allow the spinning, so it is acting as a "stuck" piece while you could imagine the plane moves around it. (Obviously not the case, but to imagine it though.) There would no need at all to invert the colors, except confusing the pilot.

Add marker beacons to any map. (ADF/NDB, RSBN, ILS, TACAN and etc.)
fl0w replied to fl0w's topic in DCS Core Wish List
A shame that common features like this in other flight sims are not yet present here in DCS. -
Credit goes to X93355, I only fixed the YouTube tag for it. Thanks and enjoy!

Awesome video man! Would you consider to add it to the Як-52 hype thread? It would be a good video for us to see. :)

Sorry, your link doesn't work. You have to get rid of the "v=" in the tag text, and then it will work. :) Some more videos on my adored Russian trainer. Enjoy! (P.S., if anyone is able to find some more pictures of the Yak-52 in DCS, that would be greatly appreciated.)

Great idea! I would love this added to the aircraft.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\d3d11.dll Access Violation Crash PG 2.5.2 OB
fl0w replied to Bananimal's topic in Game Crash
Ran that snippets of code that you just posted. It seemed to have worked all great and well, but then as soon as I re-opened DCS, I got the usual crash... :( I have tried, repairing, deleting graphic DLLs that DCS were complaining about, re-booted the PC, checked drivers, checked Windows 10 version for an update, and yet I am still not sure why but will not work. I can't even play my game at all, it crashes as soon as DCS loads up. EDIT: Not trying to hijack this thread, but I believe that DanielNL might have found us a temporary solution. Try re-naming the DCS folder in your Saved Games, which may be causing file corruption. If his post otherwise gets any updates, I will post it here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=216550 -
Hello. In anticipation of the upcoming DCS: Yak-52 module that ED will be releasing to us next month, I think it would be appropriate to bring us some hype to help us wait. After doing a bit of digging, I was also able to find the Artstation link of the person who assumingly made the Yak-52 model. I'm not too sure on this, but I will post it here anyways, just in case you're interested. Here are some informative videos of the Yak-52 to hold you over: Here is the whole (incomplete) list of compiled screenshots of the Yak-52 in DCS:

Hey. Do you mind if you re-post your dcs.log for us? Send the dcs.log text file instead, as your .zip seems to be corrupted. Thanks!
-
Your log shows errors for your Hornet cockpit systems. Try turning off the module, go to Mods/aircraft in Program Files (or wherever else you installed it) and deleting FA-18C folder, and then turn it back on and re-install. If that does not work, send this to the ED Support Service on their website in the bottom right corner, or post it in the Hornet sub-forums.

Hello. I would like to keep this request simple, and hopefully, see this implemented into DCS one day. I know that it may sound unrealistic, but it would be nice for a lot of us DCS pilots that use the general navigation aids that are implemented into these aircraft. Let's put the L-39 to the example. As far as I can tell, we are given no ISBN or NDB to airfields in Normandy, the Persian Gulf and NTTR. The Caucasus has them but only the top airfields on the map that are in parts of the Russian/Ukranian territory. Examples of these airfields include Mozdok, Anapa, and others. There are other aircraft in this game too that have this and lack it as a feature in maps. Like the UH-1H, MiG-21bis, F-86, and others that are probably there that I can't name off the top of my head. As a static object or some other form, I would like to see this added so we can add this as a mission editor part. Would this be possible? (P.S., if this is already a thing, then please tell me where to find it, I was unable to search for it in Mission Editor.) Thanks!

The SU-30 FAMILY PROJECT is Back
fl0w replied to Gizmondo's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
That's a bit harsh, don't ya think? Combatace asked for anyone. -
Most DCS projects that become full fledged modules are greatly influenced by the community and what they want.
