I don't have a gaming PC, and I find it difficult to be good at DCS while using the HAT switch to look around. Would you suggest Trakir or VR (which type)? Pros and Cons of each?

Guess I got it wrong, didn't read it anywhere else. It does say that it is well into development, so I just guessed it could be.

So as we have read, the F-16C block 50 will be coming out this year, which excites me of course, I remember playing the iMagic F16 or maybe it was Jane's game way back when. My question is how closely does the F-16CJ compare to the Mirage 2000C? I know there is a weapons system and ordinance difference, but in terms of maneuverability, speed, capability is it really that different? Also what does the J stand for in F-16CJ name? Thanks!

Basically you get the aircraft before it is fully finished and the creators continue working on the aircraft and updating it until they reach their completion goal. It might also mean that you can only play on the beta version of the DCS for a while, but that is usually fine. Most modules go on sale at some point in the year, though I don't remember how aircraft released for early access work, new planes may not go on sale until later in the year. Though I think the F18 has already been on sale once since early access, and it's little square button on the DCS start screen says "WIP" (Work In Progress).

Start up a quick mission or training, learn how to start the aircraft, test out the controls and bind the necessities to the joystick and throttle. then join an aerobatics server and learn how to fly and maneuver, test out the controls for the sweep wings and all that. learn how to land the aircraft on land then the carrier. Also, I really hope the HUD is not as dark as the F-18 because or else I'll just fail at any ground tasks and landing on the carrier, crashing in the end of the boat....

I can't connect to multiplayers servers at all, not in the last couple weeks anyway. I know enough not to join if my ping is too high and never join if its over 250, but I usually get it around 100-150 which I'm guessing isn't to bad. I've tried when the server has refreshed, while it's been on for a while, 0-40 player count, but still doesn't let me join, usually crashes, sometimes making my computer restart or do something out of the ordinary. My graphics are just about as pitiful as they can be, what can I do to connect?

I've been having no luck getting into DCS Multiplayer, as if it's a new issue :mad: , and this time when it began to shut down a window opened with all sorts of code written in it, and the window title said "failed to build MetaShader. Anybody know what that is or how to fix it? thanks

Thinking about getting VR and a gaming PC, just wondering if most people in playing VR became better players, or if it really changed their playing at all? Thanks!

So I'm thinking of getting a new PC, never had a gaming PC, but I want a decent one that will last a few years. I am not likely going to build one, but what should I get, or look for?

I've had that a few times, I think it has to d with the seat Belt tensioner, it needs to be pushed forward to tighten. Most if not all quick starts and mission the tensioner is on the loose setting, also the ejection seat is not armed

I think the multiplayer needs to be fixed, haven't been able to play multiplayer for almost a year. Another added in option would be a mouse pointer that is always centered in the middle of the screen that looks directly at buttons and I can lick them, so this might function like a video game with the dual joystick like PS4 or Xbox with a reticle in the middle. I don't have VR so right bnow this would be a nice option.

I don't know much about building a computer or just buying a gaming computer, But I would like some suggestions for decent equipment. My DCS experience isn't that great, plus I would like to get into VR eventually. Also if you can suggest any software or whatever. I have a Saitek X52, already, but I will probably upgrade to something better with two throttle or whatever. So any suggestions would be great. Thanks, also any suggestions on things I shouldn't do.

I know where the environmental controls are, and I understand a few words like cold and warm/hot. But I always seem to have Ice build up on my displays and eventually can't read the dials or radar. I thought the environmental controls were easy, but I'm not getting it correct all the time, or preventing the build up of ice in the first place. Also what is avionics hot and cold?

Wondering if there is a way to copy the advanced mission waypoints from one waypoint to the next, rather than having to go through and add the same things for a bunch of waypoints. Thanks

yes they were, but I figured it out, just had to place the last waypoint directly over the airbase before changing it to "landing", I guess it was just too far away before. thanks for answering

I know the Avro Arrow never made it into service, it was cancelled by the Canadian government due to costs and useless Bomarc missles, but it would be awesome to see it in this game. There could be some fictional campaigns and such. The specifications for this plane were monstrous for the era, some say it could have outclassed some 4th generation fighters/interceptors in some areas.
