I was going to post the same thing about the Yak52, but they fixed 2 broken things in a December patch so will consider that improvements to the model enough to warranty it staying in EA

If a Vietnam map is lurking in that poster, it will be no use without ground assets to go along with that map unless some fictional scenario is made using it. We got a lot in 2024 and I'm grateful for what was released, but this year I'd like to some of the new maps get fleshed out with all new AI assets that suit those maps so we can fly historical battles over the new terrains released, I really can't see the point with all these maps and it started with the SA one, we get no new AI assets to play against that belong to that map, Iraq and Afghanistan very much stand out here as no new assets have been released along with those maps, except the C-Ram and some other type of armored US personal carrier.

I would love ED to add this into DCS as an option for the user without editing lua files, it should be explored more with sliders also especially with the 4090 about to be a second gen card and the 5090 coming out this year. Some nice info about the Mig29A, looks pretty cool and will be nice to have a full fidelity red aircraft Some info about urgently fixing the major bugs from the last 2 patches would be nice like the F16 issue and getting the Kiowa update and SA MPs updates out. That will be $10-15 in a re make at some point But yeh its a pain in the ass in rain with them not working.

After reports here I have purchased it, I agree its a much better release then the Afghanistan map and I can only hope that the lesson learnt from this map are passed on to the Afghan map update and future releases. It looks nice from up high and down low, I only took a Apache and f18 for a quick spin from the instant action menu and really likes what i saw. BUT and its a big but, the terrain pop in is horrendous in this map as its also very flat so is very noticeable in the bigger city's, I believe its actually getting worse across all maps, its as if the visibility range of Ultra has been downgraded by ED, it just does not work at all with lots of stuff coming into view when using the zoom levels that should be seen by default without using zoom function, looking across the city of Baghdad half of it looks like dessert until it starts coming into view and then it just starts to appear, yes high rises stick out but they look like they are in deserted areas until you get within about 10-12km's when the rest starts popping in. I think its high time ED updated all the visibility settings to allow more detail further out, some of us have invested in good system for this sim and id like to be able to fine tune what I would like to see them used. Anyway glad to see some missions were included and I have liked what I have seen so far except for the above gripe about the map, looking forward to seeing how it develops over the years.

Yeh it would be nice to know what other parameters need for the Auto option to work, so far I have never seen fog when its set to Auto mode and have no idea if any other settings affect it

So I have it working thanks to everyones help here, using manual mode as Auto doesn't seem to do anything at all. One thing I noticed is wind does not seem to affect it at all. Sent from my CPH2333 using Tapatalk

Its a shame really as its very cool, just another big feature release that wasn't tested very well I would put it down too, as this issue is very obvious in MP, hopefully well get a fix sometime within a year and not have to wait years for it. -

The new SC update is pretty much broken most of the time in MP, we have removed it from our missions now and gone back to how it was before the patch hoping it works like it used too. Even a single spawn in MP can some time get stuck with "Waiting for ATC" and nothing happens you can wait all day and nothing happens even if the deck is not being used by AI, its really random if it works or not in MP but mostly it doesnt. I had about 15 or our guys test it over the course of today 3 managed to launch, the rest gave up, im really starting to believe this stuff is not tested in MP by the beta team. Good job we had the awesome fog to keep our minds occupied elsewhere -
I had the same issue in MP, 2 on the deck one could taxi I had "wait for ATC" it never cleared even after de-spawning and re-spawning.

Thanks guys for all your help, starting to understand how it works now, how do you make the fog height higher ??. Visibility I understand Thickness would be how thick it is But height of the fog ??, mine seems to pop out to clear at about 10M high Also the fog seems localised to my start AF and doesn't seem to stretch down or up the coast when I use F2 view and zoom out.
