  1. My point is ED have put lots of coming soon items in these news letters over many years, with maybe a 50% rate of them actually arriving, I'm just saying don't get too excited yet. Some examples Vulcan, Supercarrier briefing room, save game option for missions, dynamic weather, dynamic campaigne, etc, plus plenty more I have forgotten about. Sent from my TB350FU using Tapatalk

  5. It fear it will never be fixed and left to rot as an example of what ED does badly, I still enjoy flying it but I tell anyone who is getting into DCS to look at the good and bad side of EDs work with the Yak being a sample of the bad side.
  6. nullThese are my current settings 4090 VR 64GB ram I fly helos mostly down low, all small bushes and foliage on any sand map pops in around 500m when flying below 200m (reported many times) Shadows on any fence pop in and start to fill in with a trainline affect on every map at around 500-800 meters (reported many times) Big city's only show limited big buildings when flying a jet and then pop in as you get close, if you use VR zoom then more buildings show up more (no impact on FPS), I posted screen shots of this along with others many years ago when we changed to 2.9 as I believe the performance upgrade we got was due to rendering distance being culled. Big forest do the same as above. Its been mentioned a lot over the last 2-3 years, my 3 main reasons its like it is, 1: you don't have time to fix it, 2: don't know how to fix it, 3: don't want to fix it. I believe 1 is the most obvious answer along with option 3 as it will impact frame rates also, I have no more options to adjust that I can see that will increase the render distance except for changing visible range from Ultra to Extreme (it made no difference)

The objects popping in and also shadows popping in along fence lines has been acknowledged a few times now and never fixed, I honestly don't think a new track file I produce and show you will help push this issue along at all I'm sorry to say, like many issues in DCS a lot of them with many track files sent in just stay stagnant due to no resources available to fix the issues.

  9. There comes a point in the thread that its not feedback any more, it just seems to be moaning the same point over and over again, we get it you dont like the 3D model and textures. I have no evidence if you do or don't, and I don't really care TBH.
  10. Ha ha so many moaners in here about the 3D model, its actually quite funny now. Everyday I fly the Kiowa and everyday I enjoy it, it was way more feature complete than other DCS helicopter release in the last 3 years and I got from it what Polychop promised me, as for the 3 model yeh ok, its not up to par with the latest and greatest like the Apache or Chinook, but do I care, not at all, its great fun to fly and use in missions and I'm having a blast with it, well worth my $70 worth so far with the fun I have had with it SP and MP. Why dont you guys who continue to moan about its 3D model start flying it from inside (like real pilots would) and use it in missions its suited for, I believe you might actually enjoy it for the purpose you purchased it for, unless of course you only buy these modules so you can swing around the outside with a camera all the time, each to his own I guess. Looking forward to the update for it when it drops ate some point in the future, untill then on with the fun.
  11. It was a pretty simple statement that wasn't hard to understand, but ill clarify it for you to make it simple to understand, yes he means more then what was in the Massum92 free objects pack. The Afghan map and many others introduce new static objects when they release, these should be made available in the mission editor for mission makers to use rather than just being used by the map maker.

  14. That setting won't make a difference to visible range at all, I run everything on max and pop in is still bad, ground clutter especially. It's been reported many times and ED have not changed anything to make it better. Sent from my CPH2333 using Tapatalk
  15. I think they did that for the Viper only, since then we haven't had anything similar for any other EA modules I can recall.

I like Afghanistan, it suits the modules I fly and in some parts down low and up high it looks great, but only in some parts, but after flying Sinai and Syria again I have to say im not a fan of the textures sets ED are using and much prefer the Saini look for textures and implementation. If ED are doing the same with Iraq I wont be buying it at all.

  18. Todays patch is coming in at 33 gigabytes for me for updating my dedicated server, seems rather large, game install was much smaller though
  19. Hey Cfag you might want to check the mission cannot be downloaded I get a 404 Not Found error when i click download
  20. Thanks for this it will be up on our server this weekend, have your other missions been fixed yet that broke a couple of updates ago.

  23. Once again a module that was not fully tested for EA features with VR, they have a very bad habit of releasing modules with bad VR views and really could do with some better VR beta testers looking for this stuff.

Playing around with it some more all the VR views are off RH Gunners view is way off the the LH side LH Gunners view is ok but could with being a little lower on the gun sight Ramp Gunners view looks back along the cockpit and is facing the wrong way Pilot and Copilots views are not in the middle of the stick and a little low. All these issues were similar to the Apache when it came out ED if you need a VR only beta tester Im happy to help out because its clearly not being checked even for EA
