  1. Yup...I believe so as well.
  2. Hahaha. The video part of that is great, but the music is awful!!! It reminds me of the Stig in Top Gear. It doesn't look like the pilot has his hands on the trim button, so I'm guessing that the autopilot channels are off... Mase
  3. That is SO COOL!
  4. In Wags' Producer's Note #5 on "Sensor", he actually states that because the Ka50 has no FLIR, most of your fighting will be done "during the day". M
  5. Cool! Good luck with projects/exams! I remember those days... Mase
  6. Well, when I fly, once I am at speed, even if I am trimmed so that I am not banking, if I look at the yaw bubble (on the artificial horizon), it is over to the right. That means the helicopter is dragging to the left. To compensate, I apply some right rudder until the bubble is centered and then trim. This only comes into play at 150kph+ (I find).
  7. MH-6 Little Bird
  8. First, make sure you have night vision goggles as your helmet device (use the "maintenance" menu from the in-game radio menus), and then hit the "h" key.
  9. that's precisely what I'm after. Thanks!
  10. Awesome. Let me know how it turns out. I'd love a copy, if you can make it happen! Mase
  11. Because they're going to cost a mint and there is already talk about production problems.
  12. I kinda thought the same thing. Maybe it's because the aircraft is symmetrical on both sides....the 2A42 cannon on the right side? That's just a wild guess.
  13. Way back in my IL2 days, I used to do a bit of paint skinning. It's been a long time since then, but I am thinking that I'd like to have a go at skinning the Ka50. Does anybody know if there is a paint kit available for it?
  14. Nope...sounds about right. I have to use a fair amount of right rudder in flight, and the faster the flight, the more right rudder. I was trying to do the same as you...reset the trim with the reset button, but I found the same thing as you...wild action as soon as I hit the button. So what I do now is when I am about to transition slow speed, I simply apply left rudder until the rudder is centered, and then manually use the trimmer to slow down. Long story short, I don't use the rest trim button until I'm on the tarmac rubber side down. Oh, and until you get the hang of it, use control-enter to give you a visualisation of where your control mechanisms are. -Mase
  15. Hahahahahahaha. Hahaha hehe. Uh, yeah. ;) Why we just don't buy the Super Hornet, I'll never know. Personally, I think we should buy Su37s, but you know what our southern cousins would say about that, eh?
  16. Yeah, I got a quote for around $325 in Canada for a colour print of the manual. I have a colour laser at home, but I'm not quite sure how many prints a colour toner cartridge is good for...
  17. What!?! How awesome is that? I really am amazed by the level of detail in this sim.
  18. Yeah, you pretty much rock, Dvst. Thanks a lot. EDIT: Worked PERFECTLY!!! Man, this forum rules. Thanks again Dvst. Awesome. Any word on if there will be a Steam version available in English?
  19. Woops! My bad. I already have the Russian Version...I mean is it possible to have Black Sharks available to the Canadian side in the game? Sorry!
  20. Ok, so I'd like to make the Ka50 available to Canada. Is there any way to do that? IT COULD HAPPEN ;)
  21. hahah. Funny stuff.
  22. So, given how long it took Black Shark to release, is it realistic to think that all of these aircraft will come out at some point?
  23. I've got to be honest, I was surprised at just how well done this sim actually is. The "build-quality" is amazing, and something that I wish all game designers would strive for. The flight model is staggeringly well done, and makes FSX look like something that EA would design. The realism is unbelievable as well, and graphically the game is pretty good. Yes, this game took a while to release, but man was it ever worth the wait. I've just bought a trackir 4, and will be buying a set of Saitek rudder pedals tonight just to round out the experience. My hat goes off to ED/FC. Not only have they created a fantastic sim that will no doubt go into the sim hall of fame, but they have created a superb piece of software that demonstrates the level of quality that that every piece of software should stride for.
  24. Man, I would love to see some non-combat-ish helicopters make that list. Like maybe the AH6/MH6 Little Bird, or Blackhawk, or MI-7! I'd love to drop troops off behind enemy lines with a ZSU just around the next corner...or sortie to deliver ammo to troops who are in contact and low on supplies. I'd also LOVE to see the AH-1Z. All pipe dreams, I know.
  25. The first one is mad cool! Well done!
