  1. ROFLMAO well of course it does! :):) Point taken. Just looking at the big picture and how things are to work. It would be wonderful if we could data link IADS like in Janes F-18.
  2. I ran some tests this morning and noticed that many of the SAM and AAA radars are in the stowed position/not running. They only activate when an aircraft comes into it's radar range circle. This is unrealistic as how would they know the aircraft is in radar range if the radar isn't on. Is this done on purpose to save calculations/frame rates or is this an oversight? The TOR, Tunguska, Shilka are just a few that I tested. I did not run all the SAM/AAA thru the tests, though I did also do the Roland Radar and it was up and running. I could understand if the Air Defense was data linked like you could do in Janes F-18, but to my knowledge it is not. Any help on this?
  3. Kewl, thanks for your time GGT
  4. GG, I think I figured it out. You assign the values for success or failure in the campaign builder itself and score the points in the mission. So you really have to manipulate the scoring in the mission when assigning points to something so that success can be reached or failure can be had. If all that made sense, am I right in what I just wrote? :)
  5. That would help greatly. Thanks GG.
  6. Operation Bulldog Assault can be done in single player but it is best done in MP as there are seperate assigments that need to be done. Enjoy and please give me feedback both good and bad. I am using these single missions to hone my skills to build a large campaign. Operation Bulldog Assault.miz
  7. Kewl info. Now how do you assign the point value to the mission for advancement? I know how to assign points, but I don't know how to assign point intervals.
  8. I guess what I am asking is how do you sequence the missions so you are given the proper mission in the next phase, depending on how you did in the previous mission? Is it done in the naming of the mission?
  9. How do you make it so you have a block of 2 or 3 missions that you advance to one of the missions in the block depending on your performance without advancing thru the missions one by one? I hope that question makes sense as I am not sure how to word it. Do you have to name the mission file in a specific way?
  10. AH, I unnhstan now oh wise one. I'll to use the combo it mission building for better dynamic and a better performing AI. One could hope at least.
  11. Thanks guys. Good answers even if I am not sure what you are saying. Looks like I'll go to looking into it.
  12. I guess another question is.....Do Target Zones show up in ABRIS? I have never taken the time to even notice so I'll be a dunce and ask.
  13. Give them the command to "Attack My Target" or "Go SEAD", or something telling them to do there mission. If you don't give them the right command, they will dutifully fly next to you.
  14. Did you give them permission to engage from your Battle Station?
  15. How do you put targetting zones in your ABRIS? I am more interested in being able to show Target Reference Points which I assume you can only make by making Targetting Zones, thus I would like them to show up in ABRIS.
  16. Does the AI prioritize the Targetting zone, as in look for the intended targets in Zone 1 and then when they are all out, go to Zone 2, etc etc ? Or do they just attack in Zone 1 and then go home if nothing left in Zone 1 and there is still targets in Zone 2? I sure hope they do becuase that would bring a whole new tactical realm to mission building. I guess I could test it myself but being lazy, maybe someone already knows the answer to this question.
  17. But to fire willy petes, you must set a target zone, correct?
  18. Ah good info there, so it does do something in the game for you. WIll it fire smoke rockets or just illuminate for you?
  19. So as far as the game is concerned, there is no reason for AFAC unless it is a human Controlling humans?
  20. Does having an AFAC increase the chances of Arty falling close to targets or bombs being put on target for in coming mud movers? This question is all AI of course because I know the AFAC doesn't pass along directions to a real player.
  21. I'll second that thanks. Some of these missions look like they came off a Russian War Board!
  22. That is a nice nugget to know. Thanks for the info.
  23. Again, I do not agree with the doctrine you are simulating here, but it is designed that way and I understand why. You don't pass within feet of the enemy, in your helo, and just let them go. You try and kill them before they try to kill you. If we are talking passing within 2-3 KM of each other, then I understand your doctrine and would agree with it, but we are talking passing right by each other, close enough to High Five each other.
  24. Ulrich, when enemies come within feet of each other they would be trying to kill each other or at the very least, avoid the other. However if this is a design decision that you put in the hands of the mission builder, then OK. I don't agree with it, but that is the way it is. AWESOME simulation regardless.
  25. This seems to control too much of what is going on and takes away the dynamics of the situation. If enemy's meet on the battlefield, they should be trying to kill each other. It shouldnn't be up to the mission designer to make sure a chopper will kill a chopper. Off my soap box now. Thanks for the reply.
