This is a first look at AI_ATC for Incirlik AFB. In this video, I demonstrate a VFR departure, IFR approach and the overhead pattern. AI_ATC for Andersen AFB, and Incirlik AFB are available early to Patreon supporters. https://www.patreon.com/c/Avalanche110

Here is a First Look at AI_ATC Andersen AFB. This video demonstrates the departure and approach procedures for Runway 06L. The video is time stamped so you can skip the boring bits, or you can watch the whole video warts and all. AI_ATC Andersen AFB is available early to Patreon supporters. If you've enjoyed Nellis AFB and found it useful, consider trying out Andersen AFB. https://www.patreon.com/c/Avalanche110 Bellow is the approach Chart referenced in the Video.

I Get this error message when trying to load a .trk (its a very large file, flown in VR single player with mission scripts running) No mods installed. Just wondering if anyone's seen this before? I tried saving the track for this mission 4 times without success. null

Your Welcome Gunner. Glad your enjoying it.

I have updated the Discord link in the Original post.

AI_ATC was not set up to do that. It is possible to set it up that way, but would require ALL users to make changes to their DCS install.
-
A Video demonstrating the Helicopter operations will come out soon(tm). Theirs reference material in the OperatingManual.PDF If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out on discord

I have updated the Discord link in the first post. Please let me know if you have any more issues.

Yes it is possible to inadvertently select incorrect commands when tuned into the wrong frequency. Previous versions of AI_ATC required you to be on the correct frequency in order to execute commands. Unfortunately this feature is not compatible with multiplayer. if you select a command when on the incorrect frequency, you can use the “Repeat last transmission” command the controller will repeat their last instruction.

Yes, other departure and approach procedures are planned, Including the A-10 VFR departures.

There are .miz files included with the download that have AI_ATC setup and ready to go. if you want to add AI_ATC to existing .miz then you will need to add the lua files and sound files. their are instructions on how to do that in the OperatingManual.PDF if your still having trouble, join us on Discord. One of us will be able to help you set up much faster.
-
Theirs instructions in the FAQ on Discord. AI_ATC does not require installing, it’s all contained within the .miz just copy the .miz file to where you keep your DCS missions.

The instructor will hold short of the runway and instruct you to contact tower and request take off. once your given takeoff clearance he’ll enter the runway and take off. Follow the instructor and fly formation with him. Their will be a YT video of the Tutorial soon.
-
That's your instructor holding short of the runway. If the Comms menu is open when the F-10 Commands are generated, you cant click them. Just close the Radio menu and re-open it, then you should be able to select the command.

Hello Aldo. Yes, Its multiplayer compatible, Ideal for small to medium sized squadrons. The procedures used are an amalgamation from various sources. https://static.e-publishing.af.mil/production/1/nellisafb/publication/nellisafbi11-250/nellisafbi11-250.pdf https://static.e-publishing.af.mil/production/1/nellisafb/publication/afi13-212v1_accsup_nttrsup_add_a/afman13-212v1_nttr_add_a.pdf https://www.lazygranch.com/red_audio.htm While every effort has been made to make the procedures as realistic as possible. Certain aspects required creative license to fill in the gaps. North War - Clearance provided to enter the northern airspace of NTTR South War - Clearance provided to enter the southern airspace of NTTR Gates 1-4 - Not explicitly stated in AFMAN, but procedures align with reference material. referenced in Redflag audio ~ 2014 In the event new information or SME's are found, I'm more than happy to amend procedures.

Garf at DCS hacks has started a short tutorial series covering some basic procedures and how to interact with AI_ATC. Be sure to like and subscribe!

A huge shout out to @PeneCruz for integrating VAICOMPRO with AI_ATC.

@Gary Thanks for the question. The good news is that AI_ATC is "Feature complete" for release. We are working on trying to ensure that users get a trouble free experience when setting up AI_ATC and Voice Attack. Its a very complicated subject matter, combined with complicated software. We don't want the barrier to entry to be insurmountable for new players. Right now were working on documentation and testing, understanding where players have difficulty and finding ways of mitigating it. I'm confident it will be released within a few weeks. (subject to change)

Part 3 of Cabi's tutorial series. This video covers lFR Recoveries back to Nellis. A HUGE thankyou to Cabi and Garf for the work they have put into this Tutorial series.

Initial point objects for BLUE coalition are hard to make out over water. (Because their Blue) It would be good if mission designers could select their colour. or If the coordinate of the IP object is over water, have them change colour automatically (to white for example)null

Part two of the Radio call series covering VFR recoveries back to Nellis. If you like the video, be sure to like, share and subscribe.

Great questions @Purzel It was designed to be modular and portable to other maps. It can read out the name of any airbase or runway heading. However it does require a lot of data points in order for it to work. I think each airbase will be its own project. How much work is required will depend on the airbase. It’s not essential to use Voice attack, but I highly recommend it. It allows you to keep your hands on the HOTAS rather than fumble with key commands. its also a great tool for learning and practising realistic Radio Calls. Performance over head is minimal and I don’t notice any impact on DCS with it running.

@FupDuck @t_hedlund @Abburo Correct, its just Nellis AFB. I would like to do more air bases on other maps in the future. I've tried to make the code as reusable as possible, so future projects "Might" not take as long to develop. Just to clarify, AI_ATC uses some of the MOOSE classes but It is not part of MOOSE. I am not affiliated with the MOOSE Dev team.
