Sorry for the late reply Nineline; all fixed I just turned off wake turbulence and it’s running super smooth again :) I’m a %100 VR pilot these days. Interestingly enough : decent specs (as I have learnt) don’t always translate into good game performance or FPS in VR, sure in 2D with dual cards running I was smashing 120FPS but VR is such a different beast which is the sole reason I haven’t upgraded my video card as I don’t believe it would make any difference at all.

I’m having the same issue but I can’t get past mission 1, frames drop to just a few then it’s unplayable. I have already played this campiagn (in VR) twice already and loved it. Just started a third time lucky and its now unplayable due to poor FPS. Has anything changed? first mission on the ground and in the air im getting around 10FPS and when the first wave of fighters appear im getting down to 2 and thats unplayable. I usualy get 45 in air in all aspects of DCS world and 20 to 30 on the ground, all my other campaigns are running just fine. WoW! the most fun you can have with your pants on in VR! truly wonderful.

Makes sense that’s for sure but I always get into a running jet so this is not the problem it’s still a washing machine with wings.

I too struggle To get my head around the poor performance of the aircraft. I have nothing to compare it to expect the f18 that runs rings around it so I put it down to “its big it’s heavy and it’s slow” belly full of fuel and some of those pointy shooty things on it and 30k at 300knots seems about it.

When the menu loads in VR hit “alt +enter” to change to true full screen. Never had a jitter since.

Yup, I can’t use it in VR anymore. Roll on next update :(

Ok cheers for the info guys, I’ve heard there’s VR improvements coming soon so fingers crossed:) it seems like to me that 45fps seems the games “go to point” in the rift with or without ASW. I still get very very smooth game play at 45 so I guess I shouldn’t complain:-)

Can you brief me on a quick way to see if it’s truly on or off? Thanks

I’m not the only one having this issue, tray tool says it’s off but it still remains on, 90fps in loading menus and always 45fps in game play with an extreme high end PC. Very disappointing

Mate if you could share your knowledge I would appreciate it, I have been trying for 3 months to turn this ASW off with no luck, from registry hacks to tray tools to third party apps with no luck only to find out that oculus software has a bug that won’t allow it to be disabled.

Well let’s hope ASW goes the way of the dinosaurs or even better give us a way to disable this useless code and allow people with a decent rig to enjoy the VR experience.

I get the same problem with the prop in VR with the rift. ASW is just a nightmare and should be given a life sentence and the key thrown away! Never been able to turn it off...:(

Wondering if this has been fixed? I get gear down, flaps down, snorkel out, and a hot coffee at random without pressing a single key when flying the hornet

Still by far my favorite aircraft in DCS world, this bird has it all good and bad. I really get a sense of achievement when you fly this weapon 200nm and land (not always a good one) you really feel like you’ve accomplished something great. I recently made the move to VR ( amazing) to experience the tiny tiny cockpit and your face up against the gun site with barely enough room to breath was an eye opener. Don’t get me wrong the f18 is a close second but I can’t set auto pilot in the spitfire and go mow my lawn...never gunna happen. I’m hoping for a WW2 pacific theater in the near future with maybe a chance to fly the seafire:) fingers crossed.

Is it just me or is this bird hard to trim once your on AOA and keep it there? I’m struggling to keep this all lined up and the DLC seems to do very Little.

I’ll give it a crack! Do you disable Oculus VR software or uninstall it to just use steam?

After some help with Turning off ASW, I’ve tried Turing it off in oculus tray, oculus debug software and via the registray hack in the DCS user files, all of which don’t work I’m still locked at 45FPS. Has anyone got a same problem?
