  1. No freezing for me, only one crash, but performance definitely took a hit, dropping from previous 70fps to teens...especially F-4 (even with all performance enhancements turned on). Oddly enough, CPU/GPU hover around 40-50% load so no clear bottleneck is identifiable, I checked VRAM it seems to keep steady at 10GB (I have 12GB)
  2. It will sell like hotcakes. I will buy it. Single player (especially dynamic campaign) and PvE is definitely feasible. PvP is stretching it. Whiners will be whining, so what.
  3. What: Improve track recording to make it easier to extract key events in the mission Why: In order to extract key events say a splash or bomb run, you have to go through the entire mission, speeding up time causes inconsistencies and is tedious How: Idea1: Enable track recording on demand, star/stopt recording on user request, that would enable users to start the gun camera/recorder Idea2: Make "save clip" function which would on command save a track clip containing for example last 5 minutes as a separate track
  4. DBMM 1.5 has been released https://github.com/tgudelj/DCS-BIOS-MATRIC-Middleware/releases/tag/v.1.5 This version fixes an issue which caused ALL variables to be exported regardless of your configuration because module was not recognized. DBMM will now use DCS-BIOS aliases to resolve the module configuration.
  5. Any response from devs?
  6. banging your face into it in case of crash landing made it dangerous
  7. Title says it all...some people like it some not. Give us a choice, please. Personally I find it VERY useful with stingers (which are useless without PDU as you have no reference to aim at the target)
  8. If you have a spare tablet/ipad/phone you can control the autopilot via MATRIC
  9. Version 1.4 is out! It contains an important bugfix (no more losing variables config if you crash your aircraft :D). Get it here: https://github.com/tgudelj/DCS-BIOS-MATRIC-Middleware/releases/tag/v.1.4
  10. New tutorial is out covering sliders, rotaries, switches in more detail so check it out
  11. Here is the first video (hopefully in a series):
  12. New version is out - now you can use DBMM for DCS-BIOS input commands as well! Tutorial will be coming soon but in a nutshell - use Set Variable action assigned to control in MATRIC and whatever you put in "magic" variable DCS_INPUT_COOMMAND gets sent to DCS-BIOS (note: no need to terminate with newline)
  13. MATRIC https://matricapp.com can export screen snippets to iPad, Android or another PC and touch works. Of course, do not expect crazy framerates but for MFD/TGP it is good enough. You can either grab from physical monitor or use one of those virtual monitor dongles if you don't have a 2nd monitor. DISCLAIMER: I am the MATRIC dev
  14. Good news everyone! MATRIC has been a popular choice as easy to use iPad/Android button box/virtual instrument panel for DCS but full two way integration required a bit of time investment in DCS Export lua/MATRIC integration API which put off many of you. DCS-BIOS MATRIC Middleware makes it a whole lot easier to build immersive MATRIC decks by eliminating the need to write integration in Lua, now you have the app which uses DCS-BIOS, a de facto standard for DCS data export to feed MATRIC with real-time data which you can use to bind the control states of your decks. DCS-BIOS MATRIC Middleware is free and open source! Check out more details here: MATRIC Blog (matricapp.com)
  15. MATRIC is now available on Apple app store, big thanks to all the testers that put up with betas App store link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/matric-windows-pc-remote/id6454850830
  16. There are also software options like using smartphone/tablet/ipad. Pro: you can use specific layout tailor made for a module or your personal preference + the ability to use sliders/rotaries etc. Con: No tactile feedback
  17. Hi, after a very long time indeed, I'm happy to report that MATRIC is available on iOS as well as Android. Since MATRIC was at least in part inspired by need to deal with complex keyboard shortcuts in DCS it seems appropriate to announce it here . iOS support was probably No.1 requested feature by far. To cut the long story short, MATRIC beta for iOS is now available for Apple devices in AppStore TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/pkXPB9BD P.S. For those that aren't familiar with MATRIC ( https://matricapp.com ): MATRIC is sort of like software stream deck which enables you to use drag & drop to create custom "button box" (well, sliders encoders and other stuff too) on your mobile device and assign various actions to them like keyboard hotkeys, macros, joystick buttons...etc. It consists of Windows "server app" and mobile client. It provides integration API so even 2-way integration is possible for apps that support it (like DCS does) e.g. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ES4cfw9rDuM
  18. A textbook definition of "rivet counting"...
  19. I'm talking about Croatian war of independence, chill dude. One did go down and was written off, although official version is pilot error so no losses due to enemy action and no KIA (quite an accomplishment since pilots were trained during the war)
  20. Well, those were mostly D versions that served in Afghanistan, after operation Storm in 1995 they were decomissioned because they were really worn out, as for torpedoes, Mk44 is completely autonomous when it gets into water it performs the search within preset parameters so I guess they could work. Mi-24 were liked both by crews and the grunts. Mostly used unguided rockets and sometimes AT-6 for neutralizing fortified positions. They were definitely disliked by the enemy. None were shot down, several were damaged, one crewman injured (supposedly by 50cal round hit in the MG turret and fragment wound up in the cockpit, at least that's what I was told).
  21. Croatia 1995 military parade. Why they did it, beats me. Was it ever used in combat? Nope. Was it ever tested? No idea. TBH there were some propaganda fakes on that parade but 4 Mk4something torpedoes on Mi-24 looked legit https://images.app.goo.gl/1sX9BJyEeLKQh6cs7 IIRC, US Mk44
  22. Most unusual loadout I've seen on Mi-24 are 4 torpedoes
  23. I found this article which seems to be based on Soviet manual written after Israeli Syrian clash in 1982. Emphasis seems to be on F-15 and F-16 but they do mention F-4 as well https://www.xairforces.net/analyses/mig-23.html
  24. My bad, doesn't say that in the chart and anyway I don't thing for sparrows on the belly make that much difference.
  25. Perhaps I'm misreading the data (note this is ML, not MLD)? Seems pretty close to me in what is claimed by many to be the worst MiG-23 aspect (sustained turn), also note that F-4 chart seems to be clean F-4 while MiG-23ML chart is loaded with 2 R-23s (I'm guessing 7G is the structural limit with R-23s)
