  1. Hey Guys, given that you will do an excellent job with the F-14 and due to it was the main Fleet defender for almost 40 years, what do you tell me about developing its homebase ? Yeah, I am talking about building a 1st person fully controlable CV, and given that ED probably will include a CVN with his Hornet module, I would mention a conventional class like the USS Saratoga CV60 ( 80s refit to SLEP ) or the USS John F Kennedy CV67 . Could be challenging and interesting.
  2. Now that a complex F-14 A/B + F-18C are on the way......dont you think its time to start developing a complex fully controlable Carrier in ALL its envelope ??? Any team interested ? Rgds.
  3. A fully refit with the 80s SLEP programm Forrestal class would be cool. The CV60 USS Saratoga for example with some scorts could be fine, implemented into a piece of Sea- Land map. Any chance to develop the mid Mediterranean ?
  4. I think a wide range of flyable platforms will come step by step . What we really need from now, is a dedicated team building accurate Sceneries . A quite good final goal would be to bring the theatres together and being able to move from one to another on a steady way, not operate on a separate maps. Perhaps some day we could see Global coverage in DCS World. :smartass:
  5. Rock & Roll !!! Any chance guys to develop 2 synchronized theatres ? Fightertown, Miramar NAS and surroundings + a highly modeled USS Saratoga CV60, or the USS J.F.K CV67 ? Would be stunning !
  6. - working on plans to implement on detail in a future complex naval operations (example marshal stack, case I,II,II recoveries, refueling tankers, LSO, and deck activity) - Good to know that Naval environment will be studied ! Expect that concerns to submarine ops aswell, so a quite cool future opens ahead for Naval specialized third party developers. :thumbup:

Uhmmmmm........I know its a bit early and we could discuss this when the FA-18C thread comes alive but, any chance to include single Carrier Battle Group units into CA (combined arms ) to take control of? Quite interesting from a Carrier Ops view, and a first step towards a proper and accurate Naval development. :)
  8. Yeah ! a Middle East theatre would work, but thus implementing a reasonable portion of Sea,including submarine environment and some ports like Port Said,and why not the Suez Channel entry.
  9. No man, not the Spanish Army vs NATO ! I mean the Strait is a geostrategical zone around the globe, and lot of aeronaval action can take place there. But, on the other hand to start developing Naval Modules perhaps would be fine thinking on a future RIMPAC, implementing the Hawaii theatre and setting a dynamic Shipyard where participant Navies build their vessels.This would be similar to Nevada Scenery, but by Sea.
  10. Well you know, at least an specific área would be nice in a modern context. What about an área covering southern Spain and northern Morocco ? A potential what if situation inmersed into the Strait of Gibraltar, focusing also in accurate maritime data and detail and giving entry to the desired Naval modules. :music_whistling:

  13. Maybe,once the entire Sea mass is implemented with the new Edge will be a good start point to develop a proper NAVAL 1st person modules with extremely detailed units. My thought would be to start with a pure Cold War theme introducing about 2 surface ship clases from each side USA+URSS,and 1 fast attack sub+1 Nuke. Later on,more and more units could be implemented one by one,from all eras,ranging its firepower+systems.
  14. Very nice module indeed,but let me make a request. What about if more playability is given to the ships supporting the F-35 s ? Not just floating into the wáter as a static base,real movement could be given to them via keypad or whatever,capability to set a heading and a speed. Also would be welcome some ships details like hangars and so...... Keep going please !
  15. Yes guys,this is what could start being developed in conjunction with new expanded maps implementing wide sea áreas+dynamic ports and naval bases. Brilliant ideas are WELCOME !
  16. So......, will the F18C come by itself I mean land based? A proper Carrier simulation,able to steer into the wind and set different speeds is mandatory I think. If not at the beginning,a future Naval Ops can content full CBGs,with operative detailed vessels. Mmmmmm, concerning Carriers,what do you think about starting with the SLEP Forrestal class and keep moving forward till reaching the G.Ford class,this in a couple of years?

Building detailed naval units with some 3D stations available like Bridge,CIC,Decks,hangars, and concerning its systems if exact data is unknown,to approach them as much as posible and make it beleivable. About a Carrier,the last Improved Nimitz class CVN + its scorts,thus a full CBG (Carrier Battle Group) would be really cool,implementing ressuply capability(weapons+aviation fuel),mooring, etc.
  18. Hey guys, some third party group could be interested in developing accurate fully controlable 3D vessels and start a proper Naval design for DCS world? Now that Soviet navy will stay permanently on the Mediterranean,this would be cool in conjunction with the 6th Fleet.

We would need an extended ops area for an initial Naval module,perhaps Eastern Med,followed later on by the Western zone.What i am wondering is how to manage different eras platforms and technologies in combat.Lets apply it to submarine warfare,how to deal a modern Akula SSN versus a Sturgeon class for example. Are the future naval weapons going to be modelled and released in a paralell way,I mean with similar technologies,not a platform from the 80s and the other from 2010?
  20. AND...............why not to develop a weather engine download capable,able to inject real time weather/sea state via NOAA readings? Add submarine streams+different salinities depending on the sea mass,thermal layers and moooooore. Heheheh regards.
  21. The entire Mediterranean should be modeled,thus plus CBGs from the USNavy,Russian Navy.....and further why not French and Royal Navy. Complex surface+submarine units including full 3D bridge and additional walkable stations like CIC,hangar bays,outer decks.

Maybe,in a not far future we could have Global coverage,and that must include submarine environment till a certain depth in order to implement fully operational Carrier Battle Groups.

  24. Any chance by DCS Team to split into 2 development branches? One concentrated into ALL concerning Air stuff, and another one focusing into pure Naval environment development? Just an idea.
  25. Would be desirable a wide area of operations, for example the entire Mediterranean,from Gibraltar strait to Israel,implementing major Naval bases,ports, airports and cities. At least complex US Carrier Battle Groups,able to manage detailed CVNs+its Air Wing, Scorts,replenishment units so as SSNs. In this event,would be quite interesting not just having 3d naval air platforms but also to operate in its full dimension complex Navy vessels. Expansions could follow implementing other theatres, more Navies so as other air platforms.
